And Nancy provides the most beautiful, striking, melodic voice therein. (Not to mention her mandolin far outshines the player from Led Zeplin) It is a shame she is almost always and unnecessarily over shadowed both in guitar and voice in most of the Heart songs. Not dissing Ann. Love me some Ann, a lot! But Nancy, she is an outstanding musician and a singer as well.

Listening to this you have to admit two things….. 1. Heart, Ann & Nancy are amongst the best rock musicians out there, second only to Zep IMHO… to tackle a Zep anthem and do it real justice is beyond comparison with any other cover…. 2. Zeppelin were simply outstanding and unparalleled in creating Rock music history, when you recall this was written what 4 decades plus ago…. the standard Zep set for rock music was a one time threshold, never to be repeated or beaten!
1976, Dover AFB in Delaware, I was raised in RI on EW&F, Stylistics, Spinners, Temptations, Four Tops, Supremes, and then disco...my roommate Wayne was Italian dude from Stamford, CT, a drummer. I bought a top of the line stereo, Phillips turntable, Harmin Kardin receiver, Epicure speakers, at the time Dover AFB was full of Columbian Gold, Panama Red, Blonde hash, Thai Sticks, he had every Zeppelin album, we'd smoke and listen...to this very day, NO musicians could touch this band light years ahead of their time...very unique music.

I have read and seen some interviews with Nancy where she says they weren't accepted by rock fans right away because they were two women fronting a band. I am 63 and was there, I didn't see that. I never heard one person say, yeah they're OK, but they're girls. Everyone I knew went totally insane over them. I don't know how many 8 tracks I fried listening to them over and over. They were as much a major part of the soundtrack of my teen years as any other of the greatest bands of the 70s
