It's absolutely physically impossible to walk down the street with the Bee Gees in your ear buds and not start struttin'! It doesn't matter who you are.
I was a little younger, 10 years old when it released, but it made me get up and dance and 100% pure talent. Not the best looking guys, but hot damn, they could sing.
@@georgemaster4225 Yeah, only Barry left now. Not sure if you saw this interview from about 10 years back, just after Robin passed in 2012. ua-cam.com/video/HxkSNV7HtYM/v-deo.html
When Disco was hot, I always went to Disco Bars to dance. The disco music had awesome beats that was super and easy to dance to. This song is a track to the John Travolta movie, Saturday Night Fever. I'm happy you are enjoying this music.
Disco nights were fun in the day Dancing all night Friday and Saturday then supper after that till 4/5am Wonderful memories of great filled nights of fun and joy ,then back to work for the next 5days. In our day we could walk to the disco clubs and be safe Bee Gees from Australia 🇦🇺
Yes, I well remember going to discos in the late 70's, and when this song, or Night Fever would come on, there was a rush to the dance floor and we would all start dancing that hustle with the spins and claps.Us girls used to practice it at work in our lunchbreak! Absolutely love the Beegees, saw them in concert, they were fantastic.
Awesome reaction! They not only sang STAYIN’ ALIVE, but wrote, produced, and played on it. Interesting fact... Their drummer had to leave for his mother’s funeral, so they created a drum loop, which they planned to replace when the drummer returned, but it was so great that they left it in and gave drum credit to a fictitious Barnard Lupe (Barnard after a famous session drummer + loop). They said they received a lot of inquiries from groups looking for “him” to play on their albums. Fast forward years and the American Heart Association began using it for teaching CPR because the beat is that of a healthy heartbeat. Stayin’ Alive wasn’t written to be used to save lives, but how perfect are the words for it!!! Please react to NIGHT FEVER.
I loved dancing Disco to that tune. I frequented a club with a 30' wide glass floor with flashing lights underneath. And of course, Disco spinning mirror balls and lights flashing non-stop. HA ... we had some lot of fun. Actually, Disco is NOT dead...... it's called "Staying Alive" ...lol
Great disco song, it hard to listen to this song without moving your body, I have danced to this song at many disco's. Love your reaction. Best wishes. 🌹
those were the "disco Bee Gees". that music was not bad at all, but the entire "disco era" was not my taste. but a decade earlier, i could listen for hours to the "classic Bee Gees" (as group or solo, eg Massachusetts, Word, World, Don't forget to remember, Saved by the Bell, August October)
I just love your expressions. The BeeBee’s are one of my favorite groups growing up. It’s so nice to see the young generation expressing their love for this amazing group.
This was very enjoyable. The lady emcee did a great job of allowing the song to play all the way through. Didn't keep stopping the video and talking. I will only watch her from now on.
great reaction! best times of my life, was about 11-13yrs old roller blading in the discotheque to Bee Gees songs, feeling the wind in my face... smiles all the way :) ♥
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, powerful chest voices, & could sing anything in between. They truly were a once in a lifetime gift of musical genius, in every aspect! Please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. I believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤❤
Don't forget to mention the numerous hit songs they wrote for other artists throughout the decades. Also, I agree, Andy was equally talented, hated that the world lost his talent too early.
WE DANCED THIS MUSIC AT DISCO'S THROUGH THE SEVENTIES AND EIGHTIES BUT SANG IT AS My jeans are too tight My jeans are too tight, argh argh argh argh, My jeans are too tight.
Love to see that they bring tears to your eyes I love your reaction so nice to see a young person appreciate music from my generation there are so many wonderful bands from that era you will never run out of material keep putting out your videos so much fun to watch you enjoy
I’m a millennial, but my dad is a DIE HARD Bee Gees fan (his fav story to tell is about winning a disco dance contest to this very song in the 70’s 🪩 🕺), so I’ve heard this from the womb, and it still never fails to make me smile; love your content so much! ☺️♥️🎶
A strange fact discovered a few years ago that the song's beat is the perfect rhythm for proper CPR perfusion (100 beats a minute). The medical field has been using it to train nurses, doctors, and EMTs since. Unbelievable how a song written in 1977 when CPR was in its infancy turned out to be actually used to keep someone “Alive”! Moreover, the American Heart Association did not implement the 100 beat a minute guideline until 2015.
My husband and I loved the BeeGees from the time they first recorded music. We listened for 47 years until he went home to Heaven with Jesus. I hope the twin brothers are there and singing their hearts out! Barry also did several duets with Barbra Streisand. They're on an album he did with her. My favorite was Promises. Keep listening. You'll grow to love them more!!🇨🇱👍
Your reaction is great, sorry my English, but belive me, it's sounds great after all these years, unbelievable voice of the gibb brother, unbelievable voice, and beat. Thank you four your emotions.!!!
Rediscovering the BeeGees through your videos has been a terrific experience. Seeing them through your eyes is just too fun! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Most airplayed song around the globus radio station - every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic song of the 70´s decade. It’s an indelible cultural hallmark. None of that happens if that opening scene, is set to any song other than “Stayin’ Alive. I can’t imagine one single production tweak that could make “Stayin’ Alive” work better. Everything is exactly where it should be. “Stayin’ Alive” is one of those songs that sounds like it’s always existed. It’s crazy to think that human beings had to make it up out of nothing. It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history (Sherlock Holmes, Airplane, American Idol, The Voice) there are exist minimum thousands of cover versions only here on UA-cam.
After seeing Sarahs reaction to Too Much Heaven and reading her comment on the 'haters/disbelievers´, I´m so happy she did this one, and I´m sure she´ll continue her journey. It´s such a lesson to realise that´s it´s not thát evident to grow up with or just know beautiful music like this. 🙃👍
Sarah your reactions to the bee gees are great. You would love their song (you should be dancing) featuring all 4 of them including Andy..... i think you had a little crush on him. Haha
Barry's voice is one of the most unique voices in the music business. That's the quality that sets him apart from the other vocalists during that era. The king of falsetto just doing his thing.
It is so FUN to watch people's reactions to songs I've been listening to for DECADES! Wonderful reaction!! You were clearly enjoying yourself which lifted my spirits. Thank you, Sarah!

they changed the face of modern music. And THOSE HARMONIES!!!! Great songwriters.
Yep that's the top song of the disco era. Literally EVERYBODY danced to this all over the world.

Every time I hear this song, I imagine John Travolta strolling down the side walk with a quart of paint.
I'm 82 years young this year and my doctor examined me and found a pulse, happy to report I'm Staying Alive too. Love and peace from Australia 😎💕🎵🎶🎵🎶

My top 2 Bee Gees songs are One and You Win Again. It was very hard to come to that conclusion. Also, Welcome to the fan base.
Our First Responders team use Staying Alive song when practising first-aid.
Not bad for a group of brothers, from Australia.
An interesting thing about this song is that it's often called the CPR song because the tempo is perfect for chest compressions. Rather appropriate.
