In the 70s i worked at Miami Children's Hospital when i was attending College. The Bee Gees lived on Star Island. At least once per month, when they were in the city, they would come to the hospital with stuffed animals to go around the hospital lifting the kids spirits. There were no cameras recording them to show what they were doing. they were a true class act.
Your generation missed the 1970s. There was great music throughout the 1970 and the 1980s came through with amazing music as well. Real music. No auto tune, just real people and real music.
You're right! This will never ever happen again! Real music! I love the BeeGees! One of my favorite groups! This song gets me emotional too! Part of my childhood!!!😻😻😻😻😻😻
If you grew up listening to them, you were jaded. The 60's through the 90's produced the best music that humankind has ever seen. The complexity of some rock and r&b songs from that Era are every bit is complex as anything Beehthoven ever wrote.
I never took them for granted and DID appreciate how special they were, despite so many naysayers (who put them down if some of you remember). They were always wonderfully intricate singers to my ears. I've been a fan of their music forever. It's wonderful experiencing them again through this lovely young woman's eyes. What a pleasure!
Same here Cathy! The first BeeGee's reaction video she did, I was starting to tear up because I could feel her joy. Ewww! Wait! That sounded so effeminate. Nevermind! I wasn't here. Gotta go listen to some Five Finger Death Punch now.
I am a 55 yr old american woman. I grew up on the Bee Gees and absolutely love your reaction. They were amazing. I remember having a bunch of their records and being a huge fan.
I love the emotion this young lady expels , she is not acting, yes it’s a masterpiece, I love her reaction and the fact that she’s beautiful and not fake!
Three brothers (the two harmonizing are twins). Their voices blend like heavenly angels. A drop of gold to issue out the 70s. Brilliant. Thank you Sarah ❤🙏🏼
Now try to imagine what it was like to float across a dance floor with someone who could really dance, spin dip and glide to this heavenly music. Divine.
I'm so glad you listened to this song.. Barry has a 5 octive range of his voice and is an amazing artist.. his brothers were as talented as he is awesome harmonies
The BeeGees were: Barry Gibb, the tallest guy, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Guy with long hair: Robin Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, balding guy with beard Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin'. From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ua-cam.com/video/7niXSh7vWRI/v-deo.html
Oh my lord! Your genuine reactions bring tears to my eyes. It’s so good to know younger generations appreciate this music as much as we did when it was first released. Maybe more because we thought this was normal.
Goosebumps and joy. No other musicians give me this joy and emotional rollercoaster like BeeGees. My favourite is Fanny (Be Tender with my Love) *hint hint* 🙃 although there isn't one song I don't like. And they have 1000ish. Also Robin's solos... oh my god 💘
I was born in 1970...and I grew up listening to the Bee Gees. These brothers will forever go down in history as one of the best groups ever! Their harmony is soul-stirring...and only God blessed them with the most beautiful voices. I have cried listening to them. All of them are deceased except Barry...the oldest one with the falsetto voice. Andy was the baby brother who died years ago. I'm glad that you can appreciate 70's music. I thank God that I was born in one of the greatest generations!
This was 1977, the movie Saturday Night Fever. This song used to touch every girls feelings, specially when they just fell in love. It’s a magical song. Only Barry Gibbs still alive. RIP Robin, Maurice, Andy.
I'm 82 years young this year, and my wife and I have been married 60 years this year, so our love is quite deep, I'm still rocking mainly in my rocking chair. Love and peace from Australia. 😎💕🎵🎶🎶🎵
This was real music - inspired, with constellations meeting to create harmonious streams and spirals of light for the ears; these brothers were a gift from the Universe.
The Bee Gees said in an interview that they feel this is the best song they ever wrote. The magic of family members with this kind of talent is one in a billion. In that same interview they told about singing in their bedroom as kids and mother thought it was the radio playing!! R. I. P. Robin and Maurice!! Barry, I love the music written by you and your younger twin brothers. The Bee Gees are a true masterpiece!! My favorite song that they wrote for someone else is Immorality performed by Celine Dion, it’s truly magical!!

To hear this yet again, and to see your reaction, makes me realize how very, very fortunate I was to have grown up in this era, listening to this as a kid. Anyone who missed the 70's will have trouble understanding how heavily stacked it was with musical talent. But IMO the BeeGees were one of a few in the top echelon. They were amazing and still give me chills after over 50 years of listening to them.
One of a kind voices and will never be duplicated. Bee Gees topof the list best singers/song writers of all time. They are Timeless. Barry Gibb still alive today!
I've discovered that people who are closely related like siblings or parents and children tend to have voices that are particularly compatible for harmonizing together. I think you've basically heard Barry singing the leads. For variety I'd suggest For Whom The Bell Tolls with Robin singing part of the lead, and Closer Than Close with Maurice singing lead.
Yep. Totally agree. It really explains the success of The Jackson 5, The Osmonds, The Andrew Sisters, the Lennon Sisters, The Carter Family, The McGuire Sisters, The King Family, The Carpenters, etc.
I, and the guys in the band I was in for close to 3 decades used to play and sing Bee Gees, the Eagles and Yes songs to keep our harmony tight. The Brothers Gibb are arguably the best harmony in music to date.
I can feel your excitement! I am so glad you discover Bee Gee's! You remind me of the exciting, happy feeling when I heard of them when I was young! Thank you!
I love the Bee Gees early music especially 60's-70's. Some of my favorites are "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight", "Words" etc.
I truly LOVE your reactions to the Bee Gees. I grew up listening to them and I am obsessed with watching younger generation's reactions to this music and this particular artistic group of brothers, especially! They are truly LEGENDS! Keep up the GREAT work you are doing, as well. 🧘♂🙏
Look up Barry Gibb's songwriting credits and you'll be AMAZED what he's written... Has a body of work that rivals Lennon/McCartney.....This song also happens top be Barry's favorite of his..
Perfection in my opinion. Who sings like this? No one. BeeGees I adore everything about you. Your voices, your harmonies, and you are all beautiful to my eyes!!!!
The sound of the 70’s, my childhood music was incredible, not all adjusted and synthesized. I always loved The Bee Gees, their harmonies, the combined sound just so good ❤️
This gorgeous timeless song was in the top ten for over four months in 1977-8, a staggering achievement. If this song doesn't move you, check your pulse because you may be dead already 😊
Perfect reaction to one of the greatest songs ever written. Hard to believe such a sound could come out of human beings. Normally, such sounds are reserved for angelic choirs.
Sarah, you’re just about the cutest ever with your reactions to the BeeGees! I am a 71 year old white girl/uh woman and those are the same reactions I would have when they would come out with another of their glorious songs! They were a phenomenal group of singers and I now find myself going back to songs of theirs. Some groups are just timeless!❤️❤️❤️you are a cutie!
Me, and my generation we SO lucky to grow up with this music - especially when we ourselves, were in love. I think you might understand why we have no time for what passes as music today.
Thank you Sarah, for your heartfelt reactions! You sometimes say that you are "in loss of words..". Well, with your beautiful reactions, that seem to come straight from your heart, you really don't need words ❤ I was 12 years old in the summer of 1967, when the Bee Gees single "To Love Somebody" was released. It was a worldwide hit, and I have followed The Bee Gees through all these years since then. Through all their musical and personal changes, the one thing that has always radiated from them (in addition to their beautiful musicality and their unique voices) is the closeness and affection they had for each other. I think of myself and my generation as extremely lucky, to have lived during thes years, when all these beautiful music was created, by artists who will be remembered for a very long time. 🥰
This is one of my favorite if not my favorite Bee Gee's song... I'm 59 so I remember when it first came out and was brand new. I still get goosebumps listening to their music. I've always loved them, it's great to see a younger generation discover their music and truly appreciate their amazing talent! Barry was beautiful! (they had a fourth brother as well... Andy Gibb... also very talented)
At 64 years old growing up with the Bee Gees knowing all of their songs and knowing how absolutely talented these three men are, well were, gives me great joy to see your expression when listening to their music! It’s your reactions to the Bee Gees that has made me subscribe to your channel. I have watched a lot of reaction channels and the only way I will subscribe is if I truly feel that the person is getting something out of the music and it touches them deeply and I’ve seen that in you. I’ve watched you in a few other videos and that was a true reaction to the absolute talent of these wonderful men and their irreplaceable voices. I’m glad you found them!!👍.
It's truly magical watching the reaction of someone who has never heard them before. Those of us who lived through the 60s and 70s forget how great the music was.
In the 70s i worked at Miami Children's Hospital when i was attending College. The Bee Gees lived on Star Island. no cameras required for good acts....God knows
Thank you for sharing!! BEE GEEs are so real & AMAZING
83 yo Vietnam vet, still loving the BGs
They were really nice guys
THanks for sharing that story!!!
Now you know why us older folks say they don’t make music the way they used to.
Yes but the folks who were older than us at the time said the same thing
@@michaelb2388 -- Yes and no. My dad, a WWII veteran, was always interested in music of the 50s-70s and often very impressed.
These were my boys. Had every album. Miss them. They do not make music like this today.

This was 47 years ago.
100 years later in 2077, women will be tearing up for the Bee Gees
500 years from now
They are a masterpiece. Never will we see something like this again!
Gonna add to this, it’s like meeting these people, Abe Lincoln, Socrates, Leonardo DaVinci, Darwin or Einstein. There will only be ☝️
Hard to believe Barry is the only brother still with us. 😔
The people who have destroyed Romance for the younger generations should be horse whiped! But romance is dead and it may never come back. 😪
True there will never be voices like these ever again they are truly amazing ❤️
You're right! This will never ever happen again! Real music! I love the BeeGees! One of my favorite groups! This song gets me emotional too! Part of my childhood!!!😻😻😻😻😻😻
Everyone talks about Lennon & McCartney but honest to god Barry, Maurice and Robin are just as good
I agree!
Absolutely!
She brings tears to my eyes watching her reactions I don't think that those if us who grew up listening to them realized how blessed we were
We grew up in an era where music was so much more pure and the talent was immeasurable....We just thought that's how it would always be...
If you grew up listening to them, you were jaded. The 60's through the 90's produced the best music that humankind has ever seen. The complexity of some rock and r&b songs from that Era are every bit is complex as anything Beehthoven ever wrote.
I think maybe we took them a bit for granted. I know I did. Now I really appreciate their astonishing talent.

They recorded 303 songs, not counting the many they wrote for other artists. Keep listening. They were phenomenal.
Once Barry goes, that will truly be an end of an era. Something similar, we will never ever get again.
The music of the 50's, 60's and 80's was great.....but the music of the 70's was MAGICAL and without MATCH.
Exactly!
I am a 55 yr old american woman. I grew up on the Bee Gees and absolutely love your reaction. They were amazing. I remember having a bunch of their records and being a huge fan.

They also had a younger brother, Andy, who unfortunately died at 30, that had an incredible voice as well.

A really stirring song is one of their earliest ones from the sixties: "Massachusetts".

I've always loved them, it's great to see a younger generation discover their music and truly appreciate their amazing talent! Barry was beautiful! (they had a fourth brother as well... Andy Gibb... also very talented)
THANK YOU for your beautiful response to this group that I have loved for decades!
The Bee Gees make a woman’s heart a puddle of tears….
I feel very privileged to have grown through my teens & early twenties listening to, dancing to & loving to Barry, Maurice & Robin Gibb, THE BEEGEES!❤
YES! This kind of music gives you goose-bumps....it touches the soul. 😊
Pure talent, raw voices no adjustments in the studio.
The Bee Gees rabbit hole is deep! They are great. Try For Whom The Bell Tolls next. The version where they are outside is my favorite.
They and their brother, Andy were and still are my favorites! ❤️
My favorite BeeGees song and I love most of them. Brothers Gibb...The B-Gs...BeeGees.
Hi Sarah - you just made my day. Enjoyed ever moment of your enjoyment. Cheers, John.
You are absolutely correct, Sarah, that this is unquestionably a "masterpiece" by the great Bee Gees!👍
bee gees love you inside out
Our music 🎶 of the 70's glad younger people enjoy it, accapella, falsetto is an art
It's truly magical watching the reaction of someone who has never heard them before. Those of us who lived through the 60s and 70s forget how great the music was.
Her heart melting right there for all to see is beautiful.
Listening to the brothers on modern equipment gives another level of amazing to them. I forgot how really great they were!
The best vocal & harmony band that has ever lived ! Check out all of their songs ! They are awesome !
