He actually has special dialogue if you recruit him AFTER you start for Aud Lang Syne. Something along the eyes of "I've spent 30 years trying to hide my Enclave affiliation, I'm not sure I want to be around a twitchy Eyebot."

Oh no, the Legion doesn't see Boone. Boone sees the Legion. And then you see the Legion, in a cinematic.
Boone just thinks the legion stance against firearms is unreasonable and is politely demonstrating how they are a legitimately useful tool. They don’t have to go losing their top over it.

Pretty cool that the nightkin's schizophrenia foreshadows some of the companions
Psychic powers are canon in Fallout, such as the Forecaster in New Vegas or Hakunin in FO2. Also Master, who did try to create psykers, like himself, but failed. I always thought that Nightkin's overexposure to stealth boy tapped into super mutant's inert psychic powers unknowingly given from Master (since he was a bit ignorant on super mutants biology) but uncontrolled and tortuous.

@@PedroMM193 As funny as it sounds, when I've heard schizophrenics speak it's a mash of half intelligible things mixed with strangely insightful comments. I have my own theories on what's up with them, but it's just theories.

Exactly, personally I never found a beret in Fallout New Vegas outside of the NCR or someone affiliated with the NCR. From the looks of it, the NCR is the only group with berets in the Mojave that I at least know of. Veronica may have been able to get you inside the bunker, but you randomly bringing someone else into the bunker without permission would have to raise an alarm or something.
@@Berserker3624 I mean consider how little Veronica knew about the outside world. The rest of the Brotherhood knows even less.
I'm amazed they don't have vitamin D deficiencies from the lack of being outside the bunker.

This maybe a completely false memory but I swear if you take Boone to Camp Forlorn Hope there is a line like “first recon? Finally some back up”
I think NCR in general will say that if Boone is around with you, but you're right
I also remember that. NCR troops will say “That beret is looking real good on you, soldier” if you wear the 1st Recon beret he gives you as well.
18 months is all they had to make this game, 18 months. So much heart and soul went into every aspect of it

Most of the work was already done by bethesda, this is something that ex developers of Obsidian confirmed. Bethesda's engine is also very easy to use according to them. Also, it's not like it's a unique case for NV. Fallout 3 was in active development for 24 months, and they had to create thousands of assets and rework the oblivion engine to implement FPS mechanics.

The Nightkin have such interesting reactions. The Headvoices are remarkably accurate.
The fact nightkin retained some of their psychic powers from the time with the master is a pretty neat touch.

I don't know if it's just me, but the kings indirectly insult Cass.
When Veronica is there, the kings mention that they are not interested in girls as smart as her.
But when Cass is there, they do show interest.
I'd say cass probably is hotter than Veronica to the kings

The Nightkin head voice lines are actually part of what was meant to be a larger feature where they would talk about different events in the story. Without modding, all of the other Nightkin are hostile, named, or belong to a faction that overwrites their dialogue, but the lines are still in the game files. If you're interested, someone posted a video showing a lot more of their lines.

I remember finding unique laser rifle in a vault, and testing it inside.
I aimed at Boone and he said "woud you like it if i aimed at you" and i was honestly flabbergasted
Went out of my way to do every companion quest in my first playthrough so you just know I had to aim my gun at all of them too
My favorite ones were Arcade who just implies you're overcompensating and Veronica who just shrugs it off with "Why do we always hurt the ones we love?"

Make a look at the mod Charisma increases companion limit. This makes it work like in the classic games and if you have high enough Charisma you can take an entire Squad with you

Funny story, that was the first instance where I realized that NPCs react differently depending on your current companion. And when a Great Khan said that, I turned around to see Boone wearing Metal Armor that he was carrying for me.
Would have loved it if you said "he also had a minigun and guned down the khan who said that"
