Sometimes you forget this is 2 centuries after the apocalypse and that humanity has made strides to restore it self in some respects. That’s a great example of some good ol’ world building
Fallout in my opinion is classified as a Post-post Apocalypse game where humanity already rebuild civilization to the point that people don't really need to scrapes for food or water anymore. So things like universities, schools, institutions, ect, already existed with some qualified doctors and professors even by modern standard.
@@worlds3061 I by no means consider FO3's writing great, but I don't see it as contradictory to other games. Fallout 3's Capital Wasteland was bombed into oblivion, is plagued with raiders, slavers and super mutants, so the civilization there does not have much chances to pick itself up. Exploring the wasteland with rare solitary communities which are trying to pick up the pieces of the old world is a different mood compared to diving into FNV's boiling pot of factions and ideologies, and I respect and like FO3 for being that
Of all the ones that made me laugh, it was 2:46 and the literal Legion Snakes that got me the most, god damn. New Vegas was so good. It's funny to think more time has elapsed now from its release than between then and when Fallout 2 was released

That's the difference between Obsidian and Bethesda. One is actually competent at writing. The other is just tripping their way through game development
@@KuueenKumi the way I've always seen it is like this: Obsidian (at least before the outer worlds) felt like Fallout, dark but with a teeny bit of dark humor to accent all the depressing stuff. Bethesda basically took the "dark humor" part and flanderized it, like how 3, 4, and 76 feel like Disney versions of Fallout, with very loose definitions of "scary" or "dark humor". The recent art direction is even a good example, everything has to be bright and shiny, even when the game literally takes place 76 years after a great nuclear war. Bethesda seems to want a "hope for the future" theme as opposed to the original fallout theme of "basically everything is fucked, and humanity's urge to fight itself will always ultimately overtake and overshadow the legacy of anything else".
@@thesneakystrangler9002 Spot on. Bethesda's entire research into Fallout was reading the Steam pages of Fallout 1 and 2. Of course the fact Ignacio says that’s reassuring to the pizza line is too good as well.
Dean Domino is just vicious -to low intelligence characters-
Would work too
1:33 bro really said ice cream and the robot went: "understandable, have a nice day" 💀
Courier goes "bUuRp*
Paladin of the Steel Brotherhood: "And...I took that personally"
"so anyways I started blasting"
Pizza
7:55 "Old Sergeant Dornan wouldve had a field day with you" great throwback
IKR lmao
YOU MO-RON!! GET BACK TO YOUR GUARD POST!!
Surprisingly most the other Enclave in Fallout 2 are actually nice towards the low intelligence Chosen One
The smartest companion you can get in the game can be recruited by having very low intelligence, this is why I love Obsidian.
It's also available to gay male courier's
Ave. True to Pizza
I wanna see this
I like how Arcade decides to go with you because he feels bad for the Courier
0:58 The “Nuh uh” Got me rolling on the floor 😂😂😂
I guess The Think Tank were right about the Courier’s brain being barely wrinkled
Me playing games to not deal with reality.
This be too real.
Pizza
Ice Cream!
So me can think good
You no play
You realy gay
4:10 This part was priceless! Every day my appreciation for New Vegas grows.
HA! ice cream is the check for repconn for both low and high intelligence. very clever
It's also if you have high luck
8:46 the option for “ha ha youre dumber than me” must be a deep burn from someone with 1 intelligence 😂
4:36 Stupidity so incredibly dumb it cancels out and becomes a hidden language
Turned him into a Skyrim character real quick🤣🤣🤣🤣
I drive semi trucks all day for work and I broke down at the start of my day and at the middle of my day and I found this video while waiting for my guy to show up and it gave me a smile I desperately needed. 😆
I drive too, driver!
“You one of them special folks ain’t ya?”
*Sgt. Dornan bursts through the wall.*
“YOU MO-RON!!”😂
WHERE IS YO POWET ARMOER
I can't tell what's funnier, people getting dumbfounded by how stupid you can be
Or people just understanding you completely
4:10 i've seen a lot of funny dialog in new vegas, but this is peak comedy writting lmao
The dialog with the drunkard is perfect 😂
Why would Arcade even let you need that thing? It's really his fault that happened, not us
This is a consistent take with the level 1 INT courier
Low int characters are like the orb of confusion. They make the people around them dumber
Wow. Ive only played this with high speech and charisma, didn't know the dialog was so well written
The low int/high luck check in repconn HQ ("ICE CREAM!") is so great 😂
A body without a brain meets a brain without a body

What about the spine???
@@adonailr9667Bro, the spine is a part of the body
@@Platos-ec8kband how i can get it out?

"How much money do you owe this, Reaper guy?" 🤣
"Fully qualified physician." Qualified by who? What school is giving out certifications in the nuclear wasteland?
Followers of the Apocalypse have a university in the Boneyard, I’d also imagine there is other schools in NCR
Bethesda fucked that up with fallout 3 and 4 where most people are still depicted living like savages even 200 years after the nuclear apocalypse.
Exploring the wasteland with rare solitary communities which are trying to pick up the pieces of the old world is a different mood compared to diving into FNV's boiling pot of factions and ideologies, and I respect and like FO3 for being that
I love that ignacio rivas doesnt treat you any differently

He’s a Follower, they are genuinely good people unless they go the route of Edward/Caesar
I like the idea of beating the absolute crap out of a Brotherhood of Steel Paladin after burping in his face.
4:25 the two absolutely brain dead characters absolutely understanding each other with the most pristine clarity is the most wholesome thing ever
8:24 that transition from dazzle to eddy
Of all the ones that made me laugh, it was 2:46 and the literal Legion Snakes that got me the most, god damn. New Vegas was so good. It's funny to think more time has elapsed now from its release than between then and when Fallout 2 was released
I think your brain also says that its intellegence was increased through dissolved Mentats and being fed a bunch of fine literature when you ask it how it got so smart.
13:41 my god... the Sierra madre ambient sound bring me back a lot of nostalgia 😢
You need to let go
"Uh oh, you've made me angry" absolutely destroyed me 😂😂😂😂😂
Then "are you, my brain?"
Finished me off 😂😂😂😂😂
"How dare you belch in the face of a Paladin of the Brotherhood of Steel. I hereby sentence you to death."
Yeah, makes sense
ICE CREAM!
[Slams table] ICE CREAM!!
[Slams mini nuke] ICE CR- *Boom*
[SUCCEEDED] Thank you, sir. Have a nice day.
[LUCK 7] ICE CREAM
[Terrifying Presence] ICE CREAM!
I had no idea low intelligence generated special dialogue, this is hilarious!
Another Obsidian game that does the same is neverwinter nights.
I just discovered this today. I know how my next playthrough is going be 😂
I haven’t personally played any fallout but i’ve watched a playthrough of fallout 4 before, and all of these dialogue options are more earnest and thoughtful than more than half of the dialogue options even for intelligent protagonists in 4 LOL
Its easy to accomplish when the other game's options are just "yes", "no", "funny yes" and "no but later yes"
the NV dialoge options can be a pain in the ass to navigate...but yes, they are definitely more rewarding
I also love the fact that there are prostitutes advocating themself loudly in the streets and swears being used. It just adds so much to the atmosphere.
Cant remember someone in FO4 even daring to swear onec
It still cracks me up: Fallout 3 is "Go find your father" and Fallout 4 is "Go find your son." Bethesda really are the king of completely uninspired and uncreative RPG writing. They'd probably get better results from high school students taking Creative Writing 101.
1:33
I thought this part was just the Courier saying something completely random, but figuring out that they think that the robot's an ice cream dispenser makes it five times as funny.
Always wondered what the hell happened to the Followers with people that claimed to follow the orders of pizza and to have him say "That's reassuring, although many who've made that claim to the Followers of the Apocalypse over the years have had less then pure intentions".
the courier meant peace in pizza also me shoulder
i think he just doesnt comment on your intelligence at all. I always assumed its cause hes just like. a nice dude.
He probably thought pizza meant peace. As someone with a speech impediment, it happens a lot when people are trying to be nice. I say the correct number or letter weirdly and they just write them the wrong one to not question me.
xdd
He means peace, and that line is a reference to Caesar and how he was originally a Follower of the Apocalypse before he created the Legion.
“Are you maker of war? Or peace?”
“Pizza”
“That’s reassuring”
"YOU STINKY"💀💀
Thank you for this! Very entertaining!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"Oh lovely, they sent me a MOR-ON."
Fallout New Vegas, is a certified classic.
I am crying how Brain-tank is struggling to make his point 😂😂😂
I have to wonder what a 1 Intelligence, 10 Charisma build would look like
0:15 i can imagine Courier this 🥺👉👈
4:15 It really says something when a town drunkard is more verbose than you
He's just speaking on your wavelength, so your character understands him clearly
I think you missed the joke there
It’s the fact that you two are both incredibly low intelligence characters, it lets you understand him.
It’s a reference to Tor from Fallout 2. Tor asks you to go save some Brahmin for him. He says things like “me Tor” and calls the Brahmin moo-moos. However a low intelligence character has an eloquent and somewhat lengthy conversation with him.
The video alone is brighter than the courier here
That brain sure is sassy
Role playing as a moronic courier is funny as hell bro. Because you actually get away with a lot of bad stuff and the villains always tell the idiots what to do. 😂
5:28 That’s it. I’m deleting the Brotherhood. They shall know fury like none other before.
All in all most people in the apocalypse seem to be very inclusive and open minded about interacting with a differently abled person
I love even though its a post apocalyptic setting even the most vile person takes their time to help you understand
I love the fact that because your intelligence is so low you can actually have an elegant conversation with the vagrant and it probably sounds like complete gibberish to an outsider 😂
