While both factions despise each other, by the time of the show it’s been 16 years since New Vegas, and even if you help Edward/Caesar take the Mojave he’s likely dead by the time of the show, which means the legion will have either fallen or changed into something else entirely. This Elder seems to have a similar…ruthlessness to what one would expect from a legionaire, and while the BoS has always been religious and even cult like, the degree to which the show chapter goes with it is farther than any other chapter has taken it, save maybe the group of rogue paladins from the Mojave chapter that will wipe that Follower’s outpost if Veronica tries to join it. I could see a former legionnaire jointing a BoS chapter that recruits and takes in outsiders.

I had neutral status with the NCR, so House couldn't let me go protect Kimball, so Kimball naturally died off screen and some people act like I killed him. I've downloaded that game recently, so I only have two playthroughs and I've only had to skip the bodyguarding quest once. It might be a bug that doesn't happen everytime but as far as I can tell, It does happen. I didn't have reason to test it on other playthroughs, since it didn't bother me as much as other technical issues that the game is known for.
The NCR wouldn’t let me get close to actually save him because I was siding with house…so the quest autofailed and the second I left the elevator a securitron said he got assassinated
Is it wrong for me to say that the game would have gone beyond better had we, the Courier, been allowed to succeed the overcomplacent loser regardless of the initial illegalities of said action?
It'd be a cool option and maybe we could've had more endings if the game wasn't forced to rush the deadline tbh, or have the base game expand on Elijah and Veronica and Christine etc
Given how Fallout 4 outright makes the Sole Survivor leader of the Minutemen and Institute (more of a glorified errand runner than anything), I'm not sure I want to to see that The closest I thonk we'd get is post-game content with Yes-Man, and that'd likely be a daily grind of cleaning up and/or easing tensions with rebellious factions
Kimbal going to a state where people resent the NCR, at a specific location that has an aggressive and capable enemy not even two miles away, and he's standing out in the open where anyone with a rifle or a good artillery cannon could off him. That's not bravery or overconfidence, that's being bloody stupid! If you're on Caesar's side, Kimbal dies. If the player isn't with Caesar but does nothing but watch, Kimbal dies. Either way, that moron wasn't leaving without player interference.
Also, if you go House or Yes Man and are not allowed to aid the security (by having bad rep with the NCR), he also dies and the quest autofails. The Courier really is holding the entirety of the Mojave campaign together.
@@hermos3602 the fastest way to complete the quest is to discover the blood stain in the supply closet, pickpocket the detonator from the engineer who is outside with the crowd and give the detonator to the ranger, in my game after i did that the legion sniper failed his shot and killed a veteran ranger and the president escaped

Yes, if he dies during an NCR playthrough it doesn’t forfeit the run.
