This is a new favorite. I have constant tightness in my hip flexors and the stretch with the ball under the pelvis was AWESOME. Also, the assistance from the ball for the back extensions made it so much more doable for me (I have trouble with extensions because of prior surgeries so this was great for me!) thank you!
Hi there! I’m new to your channel; this standing flow truly set the tone for a strong, connected, balanced day-in body and mind. As a former barre student, I especially like how this class was challenging for the lower body/ very athletic, but also very deliberate and graceful, so that I never had to sacrifice form to keep up. Mira is ok for the knees to be in front of our big toe during the exersices at 10:46???because we all know that during the right squats knees must be behind our big toe...thanks!!by the way you re a great teacher!!!!keep going!!!(:

I'm an active senior and flexibility, balance, knee-friendly cardio, and strengthening are the core elements that I look for in the exercises that I do. Is it possible to combine all these elements into one video and maybe make more 45-min videos? I think it's important to do longer exercises now in light of the 150min recommended aerobic exercise to do per week for longevity. You always seem to know when to correct my form, and you are not in the room with me! I can only imagine how much more I would learn! You and Pilates have changed the way I view my body. I have been on a health journey for over a year and have lost 90 lbs of my 115 lb goal. But it has been more than fat loss. I have regained my mobility and strength back and even beyond what I ever thought possible!!!
Yes. Traditionally 90% of pilates exercises are done laying down. This class takes some of those exercises and translates them to a standing position. This is important as most of our lives are spent standing or being in a vertical position. This class helps to translate the benefits of doing pilates to be more functionally fit and practical to your everyday life.
I’m thinking about taking the Pilates focus class from barre above. I’m just trying to get an idea from someone who took a standing Pilates certification.

As far as I know, there are no certifications for standing Pilates. Barre is more of a mix of ballet, Pilates, and fitness.
