Great class! Your hip workouts are the only thing that help my chronic sacroiliac pain. I can get to the floor - now let's see if I can get back up as quickly as you next time!
Thank you for this class Mira. I have hip dysplasia that has been the root of many spine injuries. I have very limited mobility and horrible stability and I feel like this class focused on all the things I'm working on. I've been doing Pilates (basi & stott) for years. It's a journey. My hips and feet are too tight to go down to seated from that open position. I hope I can get there soon.
Yes, Pilates was influenced by various exercise styles, including gymnastics, yoga, dance, and martial arts. I'm glad you have found elements you enjoy. Thank you for joining me on the mat!
Hi, thank you for a great workout 😊How can I practice to be more straight in my spine and be flexible enough to sit in the inner tight exercises on the ground?
Some guidance on how to manage it if you are not quite as far would have been good, or perhaps someone can share a link for a beginner hip mobility class for me :)
This was a great session! Thank you! I cannot get anywhere near the floor like in the position you are in at 16:45. What can you recommend to build strength and flexibility in these muscles? I am desperate to reduce the tightness!!!
Let me start by saying I naturally have *very* tight hips, so a few months ago I wouldn't have thought it possible for me to do this flow or that position. But I can now! What worked for me is committing to 15 min of stretching/mobility per day. Stretching (mostly static flexibility) is best done after a workout when the muscles are warm. I really like Daniella Suarez, she has several hip flexibility videos; so does Mady Morrison. Angela Kajo also has a good one. Mobility (mostly dynamic movements) can be done any time. Besides Mira, I recommend Julia Reppel (you can search her 15 min lower body mobility routine). Finally, Train Like A Ballerina has a good combination of stretching and mobility! Consistency is key, so find some routines you actually enjoy! I hope some of these recommendations help. Best of luck on your journey :)
@@kv1656 Wow thank you so much for this thoughtful reply! I also have very naturally tight hips and both of my parents have hip issues (with my dad having hip replacements at 45 years old!!), so I am really dedicated towards preserving strength and mobility in my 20s. I do yoga/stretching every day but still find my hips really difficult to loosen up. I will most definitely check out some of your recommendations!! Thanks again

Woww that was great! I love intermediate levels with a focus on a specific body part!
Lovely. I feel better...I probably need a beginner hip mobility, but I still feel better. I modified the last 2 exercises.

I enjoyed the workout, but then my hips hurt all day the next day :( What could be the cause?
❤❤🎉
Mainly girls are here, although I bearly could finish this 20 min. Btw I am 195 cm 100 kg tough guy 😂
Was right there until about 15 minutes and then shouted “who do you think you’re dealing with here?!"
I missed the word intermediate. 😅 Xxx
Oh dear 😂 Some of these standing classes get quite tough!
@@FlowWithMira I survived. I'll be more careful next time 😆 xxx
I enjoyed the class until the last part which was challenging...still tried doing it but almost couldn't get back up😂
Had me until that last exercise 😂🥴
It was breathtaking thank you❤️
