metallica reaction alex hefner layedbakdfr nolifeshaq metallica reaction nu
The day that never comes is a very underrated Metallica song, one of my favorite solos
That's probably because it was labelled as a updated version of ONE so was in it's shadow a bit?
That song is so beautiful and sad, made me cry a lot of times
Me too and i likenthe outro of halo on fire
This was my 2nd metallica song, I was in 8th class. I can't forget that day 😭
Absolutely!
The Day That Never Comes
He already reacted to it
Magda Chlebicka no he didn’t?
@@bobbydavis4427 woah... Than why do I remember it?
@@magdachlebicka3895 link pls.
@@Luiz_6661 oh wait. It's possible I've remembered someone else's vid. I'll see myself out
I'm genuinely impressed on how good of an album Hardwired was
Me too! It gets so much hate for no reason but I think it's one of the best metal albums of the 2000s period.
@@tylerarnettay4144 I love Hardwired album but personally Death Magnetic has more fire tracks. The only fail of it is compressed sound quality. But the songs themselves are fire 🔥
@@mirzokhidshavkatov2129for me there's not a single bad song on each of these albums. There are only two that I don't really love, and they are both from Hardwired (Now That We Are Dead and Murder One)
@@nikoloznasaridze6328 i don’t agree with “Now that we dead” one. I like it
@@mirzokhidshavkatov2129 well, I know lots of people love it. I think I'll get into it one day. I remember just a year and a half ago I didn't really like Halo On Fire, now it's literally my favorite song EVER. And I also totally didn't mean I dislike any of that. I even like those two. Murder One is porbably the weakest track from the album but I still enjoy it
"Atlas, Rise!"
"Halo On Fire"
"Now That We're Dead"
All from the same album, this entire album is really good, check this 3 later ;)
"Now That We're Dead" is my fave off that album. It just jams along so smoothly.
And to close the series: Spit out the bone! Just for the hell of it ;)
He already did that one.
@@MichaelPallada FUCK YEAH!! Old school thrash Metallica!! Killer tune!
What about dream no more
Metallica - Halo on Fire
FABIAN ECHEVARRIA yeessss!
That one's a banger
Yes please!!!!!!
Yeeees pleaaase, great song, great video
I would put this one ahead of moth into flame
Metallica - Bleeding Me it has really powerful lyrics
And the solo is epic as shit!
Bleeding me and outlaw torn are two absolute musts off of load
And Fixxxer
_ Kcy0 One of thee most underrated songs.

The entire album is great, and the video for all the songs stuff was epic
I was super hype when they dropped Hardwired, and super duper hype about this one xD
Can we just go back in time please? That was a much better time...

Listen to "The Thing That Should Not Be."
but the live version of Seattle '89
No no Disposable heros
Abel Abraham Pérez Carmona that James’s voice during this song, oh my

@@abelabrahamperezcarmona2906 o don't think I've heard Seattle '89. I'll give it ago.
Spit Out The Bone is my favorite song of this album. You should definitely react to it!
He already has.
Pretty sure he has
Here Comes Revenge, personal favorite off of Hardwired
He did react to it and it is one of his best reactions for sure.
Disagree, Atlas Rise is better
As a 25yo who was raised on Metallica by his father: I'm so glad they are still getting so much appreciation from the world.
Metallica - The Day that Never Comes 🤘🏼🖤
The first time I listened to Metallica was in 1993, after their first 5 albums were already released. I was 11 years old. 27 years later and I’m still hooked.
Could we do an album listen through of “Hardwired... To Self Destruct”? They had a music video for every song on the album and it was a really great return to form for them!
All that "return to form" stuff happened in 2008 with DM though... but I see your point :)
I love album, but all the videos sucked.
@@onni6114 Oh yeah I agree I loved Death Magnetic too, the only downer was the sound being brickwalled during the mastering process lol! Shame really because I cant do a full album listen anymore because it physically gives me a headache :(
@@randycomerford2038 Eh, I dunno I kinda liked that each video was given a different director, gave the songs their own flair! Didnt work for Star Wars but this had a little less high stakes haha!
Great Album!!!
Bleeding Me - Metallica
The DJSNY that song is one of my sneaky favorite Metallica songs.
I fucking love that song.
Having listened to Metallica for decades, it still feels strange hearing them sing about modern things. That said, they have always been at the forefront of singing of the issues going on.
And as for Alex's statement about them being the grandfathers of metal, I disagree. Sabbath are the grandfathers. Metallica are the fathers. Just picking at nits (~_^)
Fathers or cool uncles of metal.Sabbath is the grandfather's of metal by far.
I was thinking the same thing about Sabbath. Black Sabbath, ozzy and dio for sure grandfathers
wheresatari haha Metallica are the dads of metal for sure
You're absolutely right, Sabbath is DEFINITELY one of the grandfathers of metal. Considering they've all said, this other band was a heavy influence of theirs, I'd put Deep Purple on the other side of the family as a grandfather of metal. Just expanding on a good thought...
The influence of Metallica is seen just as much or even more than Sabbath though, going by modern bands.
I still HAVE to see you react to Slaughter to Prevail's "Demolisher"
Darktitan 1520 yeah the Russian part will freak him out lmao
ASAP
He will shit himself during the breakdown. ALEX TERRIBLE IS INSANE.
Yea)
I was 7 when they came out kill'em all was the first cassette tape I ever bought drove my mom crazy with it 😆
Great song, bro. You should totally check out the Shortest Straw.
The shortest straw has been pulled for me
but the live version of ua-cam.com/video/UIvahSJGEYQ/v-deo.html
One of my all time favorite Metallica songs!! 😃
Alex, you gotta do "Demolisher" by "Slaughter to Prevail"
Yeah!! Breakdown is fucking sick!!
Absolutely brutal
+++++
Yep
Agree, like this comment if you are so
I'm 42 and I've got Metallica running through my veins bro!! I actually appreciated what you said about these guys and I thought it was perfectly stated!! Pay attention kids, and LEARN WHAT REAL MUSIC IS!!! 🤘💀🤘💀🤘💀🤘
Then get on a Metallica binge like you did Linkin Park!
Squiggles yes!
Just about every hip hop head who gets into metal reactions goes into a looooooooooong stretch of Linkin Park.
I second that
Yeess
Never get to much Metallica in your life. Hell you could re-do Metallica reactions and people will still hit the 👍 up button
If u are going to hear the entire album, react to Here Comes Revenge or Now That We're Dead, both are amazing songs
Here comes revenge is so dark and it's amazing. Now that we're dead has so much headbanging potential it's crazy. Even Murder one.
Confusion is great too, in my opinion.
@@mdnblues one of their best riffs imo
Spit out the bone 🤘🏼
He should do a full album reaction. Everything is great, although my favorites are Atlas, Dead, and Confusion
i remember how blown away i was when i first listened to this song
METALLICA is legendary! but ALEX we need to see you react to SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL - DEMOLISHER let's gooo!!
ohhh yes, the breakdown will demolish him
ASAP
He will be cursed upon by Alex's vocals
Waiting)
Of course I can define red, it’s the color produced by light waves between 620 and 750 nanometers. Metallica, however, is waaaaaaaay harder to define! Lol
Lmao, love it. Now put into words Metallica lol
Got that right! 🤘
Joseph Stowe how bout- 4 carbon based hominids that use various vibrations in a variety of combinations to create octave based system of sound referred to as music, and said music kicks ass! Hahahahaha. Like I said, they’re waaaaay harder to describe! Lol
I’ve been listening to Metallica since the mid 80s and they are still my fav! Took my two boys to see them a few years ago when they were 16 and 22 and it was by far my best “mom” moment watching them enjoy it. I raised them on Metallica. My youngest told me that night (as he literally bounced out of the arena) that I was the best fuckin mom in the world. Can’t top that moment. I enjoy your reactions very much but you still have a lot of Metallica to get through!
FINALLY YOUR BACK TO METALLICA!!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Since 81' the kings of transitions. Music masters along with Rush
You need to react to Metallica - Disposable Heroes It is super underrated, and it’s one of their best songs. You need to get back on your Metallica game man, it’s been so long.
There's isn't a metal head alive that says that song is underrated...clearly one of their best songs
Where is this song "underrated"? 🤔😂
definitely a good song, underrated though?
Dark deception kills the light idk I just know that this is not one of their most popular ones, also awesome name man
zleggitt1989 I agree, and I’m one of those people, but people say that it’s underrated for some odd reason
I am a huge fan of Metallica..
You should check out their song "Now That We're Dead." 🤘🤘🤘
That is one epic and awesome song by Metallica..
And if I'm not mistaken was used by The Undertaker as his entrance theme in the last Wrestlemania.
Metallica can be put into 4 words. Greatest of all time.
Heh heh that "HAH!" during Kirk's solo... man ain't had a reaction like that in some time.
This song is inspired by the way so many people in modern society live every day striving to be loved. Vocalist James Hetfield explained.
"'Moth Into Flame' is pretty literal. These days everyone [has] an obsession with being famous. Being popular. Whether it's your Facebook account or walking around the street, watching someone doing selfies of themselves as they're walking down the street. Like what? What are you doing?"
Disposable Héroes - Metallica
You did my man! Knew you'd dig it. Good job
Next : Danger Line - Avenged Sevenfold
That song hits hard
I still recommend "Critical Acclaim" live in the LBC
totally agreed
Yes! Agreed!
@@celinegloeckner6406 I agree with that too!
I'll agree with any a7x song
I rarely find a band that their entire discography is good
A7x and anathema did that for me
And joe satriani
First time hearing this track and I must say I'm quite impressed. Everyone knows they have tons of great stuff from back in the 80s and early 90s, but it's cool that they're still able to kick out some quality jams.
Ever since I was a teen I was in love with Hetfield’s voice. 25 and still think that. 🤘🏻
So glad I was able so see them live at least once, saw them live at the big four in Indio CA years ago that was also Jeff’s last line performance from slayer, R.I.P such a wonderful experience
The Day That Never Comes is a good one by Metallica!
Red - Cauterize
It's been a MINUTE since you've done Metallica!
You can put them into words...Greatness and pioneers of metal!!!
I forgot how much I loved this song! Thanks Alex ☺️
I am a grandfather, Alex. And these guys are a few years older than me. No offense taken at all. Any grandpa that listened to these guys back in the day, is still a lively person today. Shoot I still go see hard rock/metal concerts. I saw Jinjer twice in 2019, and I still play in two bands.
This brought me so much joy, also, how the hell have you not heard this yet!? Works to my benefit getting to see this reaction I suppose! 😆
Your whole personality is so wonderfully contagious. No matter how bad your mood is, after watching your videos you always feel a little better :)
Keep going!
Greetz from Germany
I enjoy watching you enjoy the music I grew up on. I'm 50 and have been a Rocker and Headbanger for a very long time. I look forward to watching you enjoy more music that I've enjoyed listening to for 40 + years. Salute!
Metallica- sad but true
Check out "Halo on Fire" " Atlas Rise", "Murder One" it's a tribute to Lemmy Kilmister. Metallica is awesome still after all these years!
"im not gonna pause it anymoe, because im American." LOL
I've never clicked so fast for this kind of video in quite awhile!!
Do Disposable Heroes by Metallica. It's an amazing song with a heavy message
Duuuuuuuuuuuude what the hell took this so long? Lol 😂🤘🏻
Alex your reactions are amazing.
I visit your channel to cheer me up .
Thankyou.
Sending love from England 🏴🖤
I saw them perform this live. During this song, the stage opened up and they had dozens of drones that were lit up and flying around, representing the moths being drawn into the flame.
Please react to underrated Metallica songs. (my friend of misery, Cure, the house jack built...)
Especially My Friend of Misery
Cure is super unappreciated. Killer track
I’ve been recommending My Friend of Misery to every reactor I listen to, all 2 of them haven’t done it yet.
Alright, I'm going to start giving a brief description of these song recommendations. Maybe they'll peak your interest that way.
Band-Maid - Blooming
You've heard them before. All-female Japanese metal band in maid outfits. From their latest album.
Richie Kotzen - Fooled Again OR Bad Situation (Both live in Tokyo)
Blues rock with fantastic guitar work. Voice sounds like Cornell from Soundgarden. Both of these live versions really show off his skills.
The Winery Dogs - Hot Streak OR Elevate
Rock supergroup with Kotzen (above) on guitar and vocals. Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater on drums. Billy Sheehan from Mr. Big on bass.
Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
Progressive rock band that is kind of like Pink Floyd meets Tool with a touch of Beatles psychedelic. This song was my introduction to them. 12 minutes with an incredible build. Stick with it.
Steven Wilson - Refuge (Studio OR Home Invasion Live)
Pink Floydish tune by the singer/guitarist of Porcupine Tree (above). Studio version has a killer harmonica solo. Live has better vocals and guitar solos, but no harmonica. Your pick.
The Pineapple Thief - Alone at Sea (Live from Where We Stood)
Modern progressive rock band often compared to Porcupine Tree. This live version has better guitar work than the studio version.
Flying Colors - The Loss Inside
Progressive rock band with Steve Morse killing it on guitar. Definitely more of a 70s feel than the two bands above. Portnoy from Dream Theater on drums. Just a solid rock song.
Rishloo - Feathergun in the Garden of the Sun
Another progrock band more along the lines of Porcupine Tree and Pineapple Thief. Really great vocals and song changes.
Alice in Chains - Them Bones
You've heard AIC before. This one should not be missed. Solid crunching metal.
Ling tosite Sigure - Enigmatic Feeling
Japanese math rock/post-hardcore band. Falsetto vocals and odd time signatures. OP song to the anime Psycho-Pass 2. Make sure you get the full version.
TK from Ling tosite Sigure - Unravel
Singer/guitarist from Ling tosite Sigure. One of the most popular anime OP songs from Tokyo Ghoul. Make sure you get the full version.
Sokoninaru - re:program
Another Japanese math rock/post-hardcore band. Similar in style to Ling tosite Sigure. More trade-offs between singers. A lot more guitar tapping.
Haken - Cockroach King
More prog-rock goodness. Both the song and video are deliciously bizarre with a kind of dark "Bohemian Rhapsody" flair.
TLDR 😉
Sooooo good!! Metallica is my FAV!! This song was freaking amazing live 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Watching them playing it live in 2017 was probably the best nigh in my life.

Here Comes Revenge, personal favorite off of Hardwired
Alex? pls react to "Demolisher" by "Slaughter to Prevail"
When they performed this live at the Kansas City show last year, they had little lights flying around, simulating moths. It was awesome. Someone told me that was the only show they did that at, because they got the lights from someone in KC.
I love how half the time he wasn't even headbanging, he was just frozen in a trance by the awesomeness he was watching!!

Hell yes 👊
Metallica is amazing!!! Yes, I’m one of this “old timers” but I really feel like I’m about your age physically. Alex! Saw Metallica on the black album tour as well as the Use your illusion your with GnR!! I love that I found them in my teens! Total life changer 🤘🏻🤘🏻

GodSmack - Straight out of line
My man Alex! Good reaction man
Yo man I'm somewhere in my mid 40's and I got turned on to these guys by MTV when I heard One for the first time when it was a new release. My older brothers had been listening to them, sneaking into clubs in SF to hear them play right around the time Kill 'Em All was coming out. My brother Mark went to high school in Castro Valley with Cliff as a matter of fact. Anyway, they were always trying to get me to listen and I never really did until that first video came out. There's just something about the energy and the melodies that just hook you right in.
I've had a lot of time on my hands just like everyone else these days and watching youtube, seeing everyones first reaction to their music reminds me of what it was like going back from 89 to listen to Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning and Kill 'em All. I don't know how much you've listened to but honestly it's so worth doing just that.
Lastly, check out Scream, Aim, Fire from Bullet for my Valentine. There's a lot there that remind me of Metallica and I think you'd really enjoy it. Peace!
We need more KAMELOT and EPICA or maybe 2 in one and react to:
KAMELOT AND SIMONE SIMONS - THE HAUNTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything Kamelot with Roy Khan is glorious!
JAPANESE METALCORE
CRYSTAL LAKE - APOLLO or AEON
Memphis May Fire - The Sinner
Hollow Front - Still Life
Crown The Empire - MZRY

Watching you react to Metallica again is the best thing ever!
Never saw the vid for this tune. I love a performance vid. I like seeing the band rock out.
Like so Alex can see:
React to “Bother” by stone sour. It’s Corey Taylor’s side band, one of their best songs
I think he has already reacted to it but it has a while ago
He already did. Heh ^ The new guy :P jk
Hey, hows it? I have been a Rock and Roll / metal head for 45 years. After a while i fell like I've seen and heard it, so i get complement. You, now, bring a new excitement to the music that helps me appreciate it all over again. I love watching you grow through your love of the music. Music is life. You have a dope asd day, bro.
Wearing my Moth Into Flame t-shirt whilst typing this. I got to see them play this live back in February 2019. Many small drones hovered around the stage. A couple of them got knocked down by James and Kirk. 'Twas a good time. METALLICA FOREVER! \m/
