The charging station is an absolute must IMO. The dualsense battery life isn't spectacular so always having a topped off charge is awesome. Plus, it looks great and displays your controller(s) nicely 👌🏼
Great video man. For my PS5 I went with the media remote (I have lg smart tv so it doesn’t have hbo max) for streaming some apps, Dualsense charging station (sleek asf and actually good looking charging station), extra controller (for long gaming sessions), and the pulse 3d lastly. Enjoying it all

For the best “surround/3D audio” experience I found open back headphones to be the best. With closed backs it feels like sound is being direct at you which isn’t the case with open backs. At least in my experience.
For gaming headphones I use the wireless Sony wh1000xm3. I connect via Bluetooth with the NSync dongle (I bought for my Switch) and the mic from the controller. Works great! I used them on ps4 but had no mic, the dual sense mix actually works fantastic.
Only non Nintendo console I own was a PS3. I would love to get a PS5 eventually but I’m a straight up NintenKid so I’m not in any rush. I still like to watch your videos because I love your sense of humor, your filming/ editing, and I find them to be very entertaining and informative. Keep up the good work!
i got a second controller and the charging port by sony, i almost got a cooling fan too but i was informed its better without it so, that saved me some money
Quite an informative video. The items that I required for my PS5 which I have had since launch via successful pre-order are as follows: 1) Astro Gaming HDMI Optical splitter to connect the PS5 to my Logitech Z5500 5.1 speaker system in my home office since the PS5 does not have an optical out port. 2) Samsung 1TB 970 Evo SSD with requisite USB 3.0 case for PS4 games. I plan on purchasing the 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 NVMe drive once Sony activates the internal M.2 port to expand the PCIe Gen 4 internal storage.
the docking station I would say is probably the first thing you should get. the wear and tear of the usb-c can eventually wreck your controller. happened to my Pro Switch controller.. could no longer charge thru usb-c.. but the bottom still works.
I got my ps5 this 2021 christmas as a gift. One year later, and the whole "get an external HDD for your ps4 games, an hdmi switcher, maybe something to charge your controller" hit me just right. The ps4 hdd went right in, I have an usb-c to usb-c cable lying around that can free up the usb-a port in the front if I need, and I've had a switcher for quite a while because my setup is aging and some ports don't seem to be working well. Also got psplus as soon as it was here. I'm set, I guess.
The Arctis headset i have for Switch works on my PS5 when I plug the dongle into the front of it. I saw a video, i forget by who, that all headphones support 3D audio.
I like that Bob also share my peculiar taste in slim HDMI cables and he brought up the HDMI switcher just as I bought one lol I think he also uses monitors to game as do I lol
You can get the same extended storage hard drive in the thumb nail but without the logo for like $10-$15 cheaper. I got the cheaper one and it works the same as my friends, who has the logo one.
Steelcase are great. I was using them on my PS4 Pro. But at first I had the dongle connected to the front USB port and the audio cut in and out. Once I connected it to a back port it was flawless. When you buy an NVME SSD for your PS5, it needs to be PCIe 4.0 and have a minimum 5,500 MB/s write speed. So only buy Sony-approved drives.
I use my Astro A50 wireless headset that I got for my PS4 with my PS5. I had to purchase an optical/HDMI splitter, but it works great. You can toggle game/chat mix in the party settings when you join. Best headset I've ever owned- blows the Sony Gold and Platinum sets out of the water in sound quality. Not sure how it stacks up against the Pulse 3D though. They did cost me $300, so not the cheapest option.
One weird accessory you might also need: new power strip. I had this issue with my PS5 not connecting to controllers (controllers just quickly flashed a blue light) and I found out other people that had this issue and resolved it by changing where they plugged in their PS5. I switched mine from an old power strip to a newer one and problem fixed.

I think the charging stand amd a extra controller would be pretty necessary. on a long game session you have one charging while you play and you won't have to worry about a dead controller (like me rn lmao).

I did notice with the 3D Pulse headphones that that surround sound/3D sound worked when you changed audio settings inside the game. I noticed it most prominently in Rift Apart
I got a costco bundle for $777 including tax and shipping. Includes 2 controller, Sony headset, 1 year ps plus, 1 month ps now. I need 2 controllers so I can charge one while using the other and also for playing coop. I’m perfectly fine paying extra since I’d pay the more for buying them individually and just happy to get a Ps5 anyway

If I’m not mistaken 3D pulse headphones give you not just left and right but also above you and below you. Just doesn’t do in front or behind you. Making it not surround sound.
I got some other Chinese brand charging station and I love it, got 2 controllers because one has my kontrolfreak accessories on it for cod and the other I use for everything else so I don’t have to take off the stuff in between games lol
Games have to support 3D audio to really hear the difference just as games had to support surround to hear the potential of previous head phones. I noticed a difference in games that support 3D audio for sure

The dualsense looks like a good option for steam input, gyro controls, touchpad, lightbar, etc.

My genki switch Bluetooth adapter is perfect for my PS5, works amazing with my Sony XM4’s and airpods. Worked great when I had beats too

I would also add the media remote to this. That was the one thing the PS4 was lacking that the PS3 had. Super handy for playing 4k blu rays.
I'm waiting for them to add support for logitech harmony remotes. They eventually did for ps4.

My HyperX Cloud Flight 2 headphones work great on my PS5. Does the 3d audio and all. I bought them to cut latency with Rocksmith on my PS4.
