I really do not understand why people like daddy long legs are constantly trying to defend the ps5 like they work for Sony and that if someone gets an Xbox, it’s a stupid decision. Who cares what people prefer to buy. Xbox is awesome, so is ps5, so Is switch. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Xbox has game pass and is going to be the place to play rpgs/shooters/racing and all kinds of games for a very cheap monthly price in the future and already has an incredible amount of games right now on game pass already.They also currently have great exclusives like gears 5, halo, state of decay, and sea of thieves, but they are lacking in story/open world single player exclusives at the moment. Sony has amazing 3rd person adventure games but is very lacking in multiplayer focused fps and online games that you can keep playing for years like halo/sea of thieves/state of decay. Nintendo is awesome exclusives and 3rd party games you can play on the go, great for parents like myself to pick up and play when I can. They are all great and struggle in other areas. Why do you care what console people want to play on, is Sony paying you, are you just so bored in life that you have to constantly tell people that Xbox sucks and PlayStation is the best ever? Please find some other purposes in life besides being a fanboy because nobody wants to hear it, same on Xbox side as well, just let it go lol please! Tired of so called console wars.

I remember in high school when the ps2 and Xbox first came out I wanted to play halo do bad because I only had a ps2 at the time. I was alway thinking damn, I wish they had halo on ps2 so I wouldn’t have to buy a whole system just to play it. Xbox is actually being more pro consumer by releasing games on pc/Xbox/and now some casual people can even play halo on phones I think. Not sure about phones 100 percent though. I manged to get a digital edition. It was easily worth it to me because I don't have a PS4, so not only am I set for this generation I can play the best possible version of all the PS4 games I missed. The PS Plus Collection is a goldmine for people who skipped last gen.

Same here. I have so many games to catch up on, that I forget I have a lot of them. And even still i wait for the deals, like 90% off, and there's still plenty of games I'm watching for there.

I was lucky enough to buy one from Target online at 12:45am of launch day, love the controller, UI, and look of the console. And Miles Morales might be the best looking game I've ever played. Promise I'm not a fanboy but 10/10

I feel like the whole "physical is cheaper" deal is just an American thing. I live in Vancouver and physical matches digital if I'm lucky. Even then ps store is still cheaper because I don't have to pay tax.
Even in the states digital sales are more frequent and offer a steeper discount. People are just clingy about physical games and make false claims to try and claim they are better than digital.
@@chriswiandt4907 That’s not entirely true. For instance recently I wanted to buy Shadow of the Tomb Raider for my Xbox One. On the Microsoft store it was $60 and at Target it was $30. The same version of the game. Sometimes physical copies get discounted and the digital doesn’t.
Go to walmart in the us they are definitely cheaper if not same price on amazon and they rarely have sales on stores why wait for a sale when u want the game just shop around
It’s not just an American thing, I think most people are not talking about new releases when they talk about cheaper prices. I often pick up some few-year-old releases used for about £10 while it’s still well above £30-£40 in ps store. Of course this is not a general rule, but a massive advantage in my opinion!
@@kellerglee I am talking about used. Ebgames playd doesn't sell cheaper than digital sales and second hand shop is even more expensive. Over the entire generation I found one single physical deal that is cheaper than digital and that's starlink. This is probably because the game is so dead they just want to clear everything out.
When i eventually buy a next gen console, I'm gonna buy a Playstation simply because i have a library of games i built for years and years that i can play on that system. Plus I've been on Playstation since i was a baby so there's definitely brand loyalty too.

I've also noticed from a PS4 to PS4 Pro they definitely had two different ethernet ports. PS4: Mb port, PS4 Pro: Gb port. Meaning the OG PS4 could never get more than 100 Mbps download, but the PS4 Pro can go over that

It's not the same as the HD Rumble on the Switch. The motors in the PS5 controller are a lot stronger and bigger.
I don't know what bob is smoking claiming the joycons HD rumble is better than the Dualsense Haptic feedback. We must not be holding the same controller.

The haptics extend to the triggers and are in the center of the controller not just the outsides... It's stronger and way better. And it's not even ckose. He's outside his mind. I still like him though ☺️
Like you said, the only thing that really matters is getting the console that has the games you want to play. PS5 has the exclusives, so that’s the one to buy for me.
This is why I subscribe. Thank you for your objectivity! I had already made my mind up to wait a year until developers start getting the most out of next gen, but still curious about what people are getting day one. Doesn't seem like I am missing anything just yet.

I got my hands on a PlayStation 5 with horizon disc version at a target 35 minutes away from me! I was able to order the last 1 in stock for pick up last night and immediately got it today! So excited

I just finished using my partner's Playstation this weekend, and I can say that I'm definitely going to save up for one just for the controller alone. I do have a Switch and haven't played any games with the HD rumble. But the controller for Spider-Man is just, fantastic. I cannot wait to go and jump back in.

I think what puts the dualsense above the joycons is the combination of audio and triggers. While the rumble is mostly similar adding these little things just makes the dualsense feel 100 times more advance and better.
I got both as well and can confirm Ive been enjoying the xbox more just like you.

Honestly, i felt exactly like him when playing astro bot. Duelsense is cool but definitely not game changer like most youtubers try to convince you. The haptic triggers tho are very nice. The controller is also still not as comfortable than the Xbox one and the UI on xbox is a lot more efficient. Everything Wulff said I agree 100% but at the end of the day Games are doing the talking. I wished Microsoft understood that cause they nailed the hardware.
I was genuinely blown away by the dualsense, unlike the joycons.

I notice this particularly in VR where they may have a whole heap of headsets, including ones years old that are STILL not available where i am. I see their video titles and i think they come across as entitled.

I’m late here but I got a digital PS5 and a 4K tv at launch. I upgraded from a launch PS4 with a 1080p. Upgrading was like night and day.

When I play the PS5 at a 1080p Monitor, do I still get 60fps when in grafics mode?

Yes I just played demon's souls on a 1080p screen and it is 60fps on performance mode. The cinematic mode turns it into 30fps with almost no graphics improvement.
If your monitor supports up to 60fps them yes you get a higher frame rate. And it's not graphics mode it's performance mode. I'm assuming your talking about the console and not the monitor. Correct me if I'm wrong though
@@Linkclouds. yes I mean the grafics mode on the ps5 (in a game you usaly can choose between grafics and performance)
In 4k u have less Performance when in grafics mode. So if I play at 1080p do I get 60fps in grafics mode?
@@tomnsv nope I wish that was the case but no. The graphics mode in most games lock it to 30fps. Regardless of it being 1080p or 4k. Although I know what you mean, in PCs you get a boost in performance when you lower the resolution.

One other thing that I think matter is what console you currently own. I own an xbox one s, a few games (mostly digital ) and an extra controller. Now if I get a series X or S, I can take that library over at no extra cost. Also I can use the same controllers with series X. I am finding it really hard to convince myself to get a PS5 for the exclusive games.. Depends on person to person though.

Already got a series x at launch, upgraded from a VCR xbox one.
However I will get a ps5 at some point, but I'm in no rush right now, still got a back catalogue of ps4 games to play anyway 👍

I still have 150+ Steam games to play on my 1440P monitor, plus over 100 Nintendo games that I'm not bored with yet, and many of them I haven't even started. I still have a PS3 that I haven't used much other than for watching Blu-rays. Looks like a cool new system, but I'm good.
What people need to understand is that possibly within a year or two the ps5 could come out with a special edition bundle of the ps5, a slimer model or even a reduced price im going to wait until then i have a huge back catalog of games that i haven't played yet

The hype and demand for the PS5 is insane, maybe it's because the PS2 launch didn't have social media, but the PS5 launch year has felt like a continual steam of increasing desire every day passing
It's not that hype. The Switch launch had way more hype there was a superb owl add for it.

Lots a good third party PS4 games still coming out and running better on PS5 is justifiably worth it. You get HDR support on none HDR PS4 games, 3D audio, faster loading times, better performance(unless its an incompatible game of course).

Thing is super quiet and doubling the framerate and ssd speed and new controller is plenty enough reason to upgrade outside of the fact that most of the launch games are great. Or at least very good. I’ve been a part of every launch since ps2 and Xbox and GameCube and this is the best launch lineup in my opinion, and cyber punk isn’t even out yet.

Just thought you should know that the haptic feedback is pretty weak out of the box but you can change that in the settings
