    ☺️💡To all guys: Remember Commercial donut brands uses a pre-prepared instant donut flour (they just need put water and in 5 mins the dough is ready🤷🏻‍♀️), so let me tell you Aimee's recipe is a wonderful and amazing traditional donut could really be sold same or at higher price than the comercial ones. It worths the effort you put doing it, cause the value of this is that you did it yourself and the satisfaction is priceless ❤️

    AMAZING (PRETTY MUCH FOOLPROOF) RECIPE - A MUST TRY.
    Thank you so much for this recipe! Ever since I saw this video I've been wanting to try it but I decided to use your recipe to make one large donut because of how airy it was described (since larger donuts would be more prone to doughiness).
    I had to wing some aspects of it: I don't have a stand mixer so I had to mix by hand for about 20 minutes with a spatula and I ended up using aluminum foil instead of parchment paper. I also opted for chocolate and sprinkles instead of glaze. The outside definitely looks much darker than the video but the inside was PHENOMENAL. It was light, airy, and not too sweet. Next time I might make it a tad sweeter with some honey and sugar. Thank you so much again.

    These really are close to the Krispy Kreme style doughnut, though less sweet and a more pleasant “chew” than “melt” in the mouth. Very good, not too sweet, beautiful structure-light, airy, and slightly chewy-didn’t absorb much oil, just a very nice doughnut all around. Thank you so much for the recipe!

    • @AimeesCooking

      Just let the dough rest a little after cutting and you can roll it out a little more if needed. It shrinks because it was just handled in the flattened step.

    Yours look better and more fluffy than all the other recipes that I have seen. I didn't see any nutmeg in your recipe though and I think that could be the spice that I can taste in kk. Have you tried that yet?

      Instant yeast but I still proof it because some batches are not as good as others.

    Hi Aimee - Thanks for these recipes! I loved your banh mi one and tried this one today. It tastes great at the end but not quite right in shape. When I used the cookie cutters, my dough shrunk! Do you think it was because I over-beat it? It wasn’t staying on the hook as you mentioned so I kept beating....

    • @AimeesCooking
      @AimeesCooking  4 роки тому +1

      Did you shape after letting the dough rest for at least 1 - 1.5 hrs? At that point the dough should be relax and very easy to work with. Make sure when you pour out the dough onto the counter that you don’t knead it, just flatten it lightly and slowly like how I did in the video. The only time that it will shrink back after you shape is right after you work with it (knead it). Lots of tension and not relaxed.

      Aimee's Cooking you’re right! Originally I flattened it too much and it wasn’t working so I had to bring it back together. I let it rest for 20 mins but maybe that wasn’t enough to let it relax. I’ll definitely try again. Thanks again!!
