I understand these families are grieving, but you fairly regularly hear them say their loved one "would never commit suicide". Working at a psych hospital, I've seen enough suicide attempt survivors to know that many people who make severe attempts never talk about their thoughts with anyone until it's too late. It's actually a contributing reason why the thoughts continue to fester and grow. That being said, you can really never say for certain what another person is experiencing internally.

Retired paramedic here. In 23 years EMS I saw everyone attempt and many succeed. Also, so many people would confess their struggles with me while their family stood feet away from them unknowing. They truly never know.

Heard once that it's more likely to happen from someone who has never talked about it than someone who does. Obviously I don't know if that's really true but I get the point.
That being said, when it comes to missing people, it's difficult to take your life without anyone ever finding your remains at some point.

On a lighter note- just once, I'd like to hear of a case where the poor missing soul didn't show up for work, but it was noted to be totally characteristic of them to do this.

On behalf of Billy Oliveira's family, I would like to thank you so very much for taking the time to share his story! At this point, we believe it will take someone to say something in order for us to find him. We hope that keeping his story going, that someone will somehow find it in their hearts to finally say something to help us bring him home. Again, Thank you so much for this!

Tim Owens Ghosts and aliens aren’t real. Serial killers are extremely rare despite you are taught to believe. However we all have at the very least have lost touch with someone we care for. That case with the kid in Utah walking his dogs-- I wonder if anyone thought to go to local animal shelters to see if someone dropped off (or at least reported) two dogs being found that matched the description. It might give a general area to look. A kidnapper probably wouldn't be stupid enough to do it himself but a passerby might call in the strays and narrow a search area.

My aunt went missing in July of 1953 from Cortland, NY, 23 years before I was born. I been trying to find or what happened to her with no success. The crazy thing about Pheonix is that I went to that college and lived a street over from her. The store she was last seen at was the same store I would go to every single day to get my mom cigarettes and other things.
I dont want to sound selfish but that literally could have been me but at that moment, I had JUST had my daughter and was healing up from the C section. My husband was the one tasked with the running around so he would go to the store instead of me.... I just wonder....
I know a lot of my classmates looked for her for a long time. I couldn't help with the search at first but I did pray for her. I didnt know her personally, but the fact that the girl down the street could come up missing just blows my mind.

You are quite remarkable as a CC to research, write, and edit this type of content. It's great stuff and I appreciate it. I know what it takes to make an upload, especially how long it takes to edit. You've made some highly addictive, binge worth stuff.
You've got quite the character to do this kind of thing so many times, and to put up with the asylum that occasionally shows up in the comments sections of YT. The only way I can imagine someone doing this is through experience. If I am wrong and you're working entirely on empathy, I apologize, you're literally a superhero of a person. However, my intuition tells me you've experienced something traumatic. Something like the stories you're telling. If I went through something like these people, I might do something similar to this as a coping mechanism. I've had the philosophy, "You're either part of the problem or part of the solution," for some time. The first step towards helping these victims is to increase awareness. If so, I hope you find resolution and peace.
Either way well done, and I am very impressed with your results here. If you have been a victim of such an experience or lost loved one(s), I can't think of a better way to insight change, awareness, and make a difference.
Thanks for the upload. This is my 3rd or 4th view after subscribing an hour ago. I'm here bc of a YT home page feed suggestion.
    -Jake

Her voice is sounds like tired croakiness, about to fall asleep. Having said that,I've noticed how young american women seemed to have affected a false sound to their voice and contrived enunciation and every sentence ends on the up as if everything is a question. Its definitely a quirk as old american tv shows certainly back to the 80s do not have this affected speech pattern..

3:21 By sheer coincidence, I live in Missoula, Montana and lived on the Blackfeet res for 3 years. Another very similar missing person is *Jermain “Liz” Charlo.* The police suspect that Charlo was abducted by sex traffickers, which has become a very real issue in Montana-the “Highway of Tears” in Canada is just one arm of a rapidly growing underground network of sex traffickers operating in the Pacific-Rockies states/provinces. Native women keep going missing here, it’s absolutely terrifying. The underfunded police are struggling and failing to stop it.
It would be enormously helpful if you could mention Jermain Charlo’s case in a future video. She went missing in Missoula, MT just three blocks from my house. Her disappearance has haunted me for two years now, and I could provide you with a lot of info on the case. Please PM me if you’re interested, and thank you so much for covering Ashley Heavyrunner.

    • @charlieapples9373
      @charlieapples9373 4 роки тому +2

kevin walker Jermain Charlo (nickname: Liz) went missing in June 2018 in a residential neighborhood (my neighborhood) in Missoula, Montana. She disappeared after spending the night out with friends before leaving a local bar alone on foot, then catching a ride across the river and getting dropped off at a small grocery store, which was closed for the night. This was the last known sighting of her.
If Jermain is alive, she would be 24. Google her for photos. She is a member of the Salish-Kootenai Nation and grew up on the Flathead Reservation north of Missoula. She has two young sons whom she loves dearly, and a loving family. She was about to start work as a firefighter for the State Forest Service when she went missing, and was looking forward to the job. She was also very active on social media, but her accounts have all gone silent.
She had recently started dating a new boyfriend, and things seemed to be going very well between them. Police cleared him as a suspect, and his name has not been disclosed. She was also in a custody dispute case with the father of her two sons, but police have also cleared him as a suspect and do not believe he was involved. Likewise, the last people to have seen her the night of her disappearance have been cleared of suspicion. The police currently have no active leads.
I remember the whole city being covered in missing person fliers after she vanished. It’s been really unsettling for me personally because it literally happened right down the street from my house. Near the grocery store I go to _every day._ I live in a very safe, sleepy little neighborhood, which is just across a bridge from the city’s police headquarters. It’s the kind of neighborhood where people just...don’t get kidnapped in. I never felt unsafe walking alone at night until Jermain Charlo disappeared. Now I can’t help but wonder what’s hiding all around me, and what happened to her.

I started my freshman year In 1973 with 47,000 other students, shortly after the initial crime against Henry occurred. I can't think of a better place to get "lost" in among those students and the huge, sprawling campus and surrounding neighborhoods than MSU in 1973, long before Facebook or any other easy way to track someone down.

In terms of people vanishing into thin air, the Jason Jolkowski case drives me absolutely insane. Tall, well-built high school kid disappears nearly 20 years ago while walking the 8 blocks from his house to the school (where he was getting a ride to his job at a pizza place), in a tiny town in Nebraska. No sightings, no eyewitnesss, no phone calls or bank activity, no footprints or tracks, no creeks or rivers or large bodies of water on the way, no signs of a hit and run or other motor vehicle impact, no blood or signs of a struggle - nothing. I'd say it's a toss-up between that and the Judy Smith case for the sheer "wtf" factor. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Jason_Anthony_Jolkowski

@@barbarat5729 True. When 20, I babysat. The mother got home from her waitress job at 4am. I walked 1 1/2 miles home. It actually was refreshing..quiet.
There is always an element of danger, but it was close to nill. Quiet community. I did walk with a purpose and at a good pace. I did that for 6 mths, 5 days a week.

@TheDodicat she maybe didn't want him to do that either, I used to regularly go for walks on my own around that time when couldn't sleep, it was in a city but some of the route was quite sheltered, the only reason I don't do it now is the huge influx of immigrants from 'women unfriendly' cultures
