  • these three developing cases from this year could be solved if the right person calls in a tip.
    correction:michael mcclain's car was parked on orange street in manchester, not nashua, as is often reported.
    update: on october 7th, NBC news corrected their coverage of jean johnson's case. just the pouch for her pistol was found, not the pistol itself, with her laundry. the pistol was turned in to police by an unidentified individual two months after her disappearance.

    Number 2, another case of friends "just leaving a friend " without knowing where he is or what happened to him. After 45 minutes? What happened to we come together we leave together?

      @S J I understand whay you mean and I must agree. Ofcourse no one should be forced to stay all night partying, only because one of your doesn't want to go home. But, in that case, (considering tjat you went out together as a group) especially if your friend is drunk or high on something, you or other friends should force him to go home too, or make sure that he/she stays with someone you can trust ang get home safe.
      I also had to stay out so many times, when I didn't want to, all because of that one friend who had a "great" time and didn't want to go home, but I could NEVER leave my drunk friend (especially if it is a girl) alone in a club.

      He was heading to his car that was parked significantly further away from the club. When one is drunk, they underestimate and misjudge anything and everything. It's for the best interest of all parts to stick together.
      I never drink alcohol. Just stick to my redbull, dance my ass off, and go home. My boyfriend and his friends drink. So I'm the driver and keep an eye on all the girls when we go out together. So on Sundays, non of them remember what they did. So I have to sit and rewind and tell them and laugh. I hope all these people are found alive. My god this is horrible.!

SSSSSOOOO many times I walked places late at night, alone, HEAVILY intoxicated, left friends, talked to random ppl, things I probably don’t even remember... and I could’ve been a missing person myself. "the police claim that no one was chasing Michael that night" ... how would they know that? how could they possibly dismiss that unless they have evidence? what kind of evidence could there be that would definitively dismiss that theory? I can't tell if this is a cover-up or just incompetence.

      the polic would've searched thru many,many hours of video footage along the route Michael took, as well as mcdonalds footage and footage from the gas station. from this footage they would have seen no-one was chasing or following Michael. staff at mcdonalds would have been interviewed as to michaels mental state, and wether there was someone outside waiting for him. as he'd been at a club, he could of been alcohol and/or drug affected, and could of been delusional and suffering paranoia. I don't believe for a minute its a cover-up or incompetence. the police know exactly where Michael went and what route he took, so they cant have been too incompetent, and like I said, they trawelled thru many hours of video footage, watching him and looking to see if he was being followed(he wasn't). he could of hitched a ride with a stranger and met his demise, who knows?

  • @musiqleigh8510
    @musiqleigh8510 4 роки тому +242

    Michael wouldnt call the friends he was with but would call his boss when he felt ppl were after him?? That doesn't make sense. If I was out and got lost/couldn't find my car, the ppl I came with would be exactly who I would call. Unless, the ppl he was with were who he was running from. Also, the police seem very dismissive of the potential that someone could've been chasing him. That will always seem sus to me because until there is absolute evidence to the contrary any detective worth anything wouldn't rule any possibilities out. Someone spooked him into going quite a distance away from his vehicle w/o calling his friends to see where they were.

    • @troumer
      @troumer 4 роки тому +20

      He might not have called them if he didn't have their info in his phone or maybe he was panicked and just called the first number that came up? Many of the things he did seem odd. It's kind of a struggle to make sense the whole thing.

      @@michelleprieur1 I hate to say it but there have been a ton of people who work with people with special needs who end up abusing them. Also, you're a nurse so you're obviously bias. I worked at a mental health team and there were definitely a few nurses who were bad apples.
      Although, I don't believe that this guy is a bad person and he probably was one of the good ones. Cynthia Murphy The pros are often overloaded with other work/concerns, and want to quickly get done with investigations so that they can move onto their next priority. I’m thinking specifically about that yoga teacher who went missing in Hawaii... the police ceased their search for her after only a few days. Her boyfriend and other members of the community carried on with their searches, and she was finally located. The boyfriend only had one case to focus on, and could therefore put all of his resources into the search for her. Perhaps pros+community = greater chances of success. 🤷‍♀️

      YES! Cameras are so common, but seem to do little good in so many cases. They can also produce very poor quality images, and the footage is usually gone before anyone knows it's needed. Cameras which pan an area are also terrible: my car was hit in the parking lot of my old bldg, and the cameras there managed to miss the accident completely. Andrea was in a bad car accident shortly before she went missing. She may have had a head injury that went undetected. My friends dad had a head injury & went missing 2 months later. They did find this wealthy business owner 18 months later on skid row dirty & he was out of his mind. He has been in the alhiemers wing of the care home & has never been able to remember his family. They still go every weekend with photo albums & his favorite music. All from being bumped on the head in a mugging.

      One of my relative’s decline and eventual death has some similarities. He had retired to Phoenix, after suffering a lifetime of sinus/hay fever issues. He was in great shape for his age, he had a sharp mind and was very independent, so he didn’t stay in close contact with his grown kids. One day, there was a phone call back East from a Phoenix hospital. Turns out the cops had found him lying on a sidewalk edge downtown. No one had seen what happened, he had either been knocked over in an attempted mugging, grazed by a car crossing the street, or tripped on the curb and banged his head and got bruised up. He was never the same after that, his memory was fuzzy and he lost his mental acuity. He wound up in a nursing home back by his kids. He suffered strokes in the months after and died maybe 9 months or so after the mysterious accident. Someday, I’d like to visit Phoenix PD to see if they still have the records from 50 years ago...

      They put out her younger photos. The ones where she looks heavier and the one in boots are the newest ones. It always drives me nuts when people use old photos for missing posters. The idea is to get people to recognize them quickly, not think.... “hmmm... add a couple years and it could be her”. They should require the most current photo be the first and largest on posters. Just a peeve of mine. I’ve seen people discount a sighting because the photos were old and the person the saw “could have been her older sister” or didn’t have the same hair color/ style, things like that, especially with kids who change so quickly.

Yea, the people at that particular McDonald's don't sound like they were particular "all there"...this was in the middle of the night and he had just come from a bar (maybe smelling of alcohol). I used to work at a Burger King as a young teenager and the only phone we had was in the locked office in the back...which we didn't advertise that was there. And anyway, his phone was still working, I think, when he was in there. The "acquaintance" may have just waved to him and left before he could say anything, and again, I think he thought he was close to getting into his car and going home anyway so....unfortunately not.

      It says right in the video that the narrator thinks that Michael thought he was getting close to his car and could just drive back home...makes perfect sense to me. He just got lost, and the people associated with the woman he saved at the bar probably WERE kinda chasing him and may have caught up with him, unfortunately. It was also explained in the video that he was very close with his boss and would call her if his car wouldn't work or he had problems of any kind. Of course, then, if she's a close friend and would have the most resources to help him (compared to his broke friends)...yes, it makes perfect sense he would call his boss rather than his friends. I believe he really thought he could lose the people following him from the bar and was heading to his car...sadly not, in the end.

    Poor Michael. He got a degree in Criminal Justice. It only seems fair he gets justice. What a friendly smile. I am.wondering if the altercation situation was why he is not around anymore. Perhaps a boyfriend/or the ex mentioned of one of the women in the altercation was why he went missing. I know this happened to someone at a club before when they got beaten up just talking to the girl and a boyf of the girl fought him with a metal crowbar... male bravdo.. It happens men get into protective mode and a drink or hearsay and they get worked up.. esp he is a good looking male too and the fact he is friendly makes him more of an easy target..I hate to hear he felt scare.. theres no evidence it happened of course but I'd question the women again as well as the boyfriend. Women I imagine would likely crack if they knew something espacially if they went onto have kids etc..... the chase does make me wonder..it seems a big clue.. a bit of alcohol in the wrong person and they get rowdy etc..a crowd of men makes it worse as they all take turns. I've worked in a club and I've seen that brutal group mentality. It all happened post that situation so it's all you can go on ... I pray all these families get answers for their loved ones... as for case one.. I feel its in the family based on my seeing that case recently (graydays tv or Lordanarts covered it) I came away wondering about the family argument she had. Michaels case speaks to me, they all ran after the cops showed up, guess who the cops would chase the most just because he was black, my 1st instinct was the cops killed him by mistake and are covering it up, check all traffic cams, if it was not cops it was a home owner who shot him thinking he was a robber, check all backyards with dogs in the area and question every house in the area where he was last seen on cam
    He didn't tell boss it was cops chasing him because he was scared or wanted to explain in person and 4 mins later after cops show up he calls boss saying they are chasing him
    Cops killed him or a house owner and are covering up but NEED TO ADMIT IT NOW
    He may have walked along the river at most points avoiding the streets

    Sadly, all three cases seem to fit the same similarities as the Missing 411 phenomena.
    Andrea, who helped find other missing people, vanished while walking home. She knew the dangers yet faced them herself.
    Michael told his boss they were following him, and his phone sent several odd messages. Which has happened in other Missing 411 cases, not to mention a boulder field, something that seems to be a fixture in most of these cases. This case sounds a lot like the Henry McCabe case!
    Jean, clearly heard something that made her retrieve her firearm. New Mexico is a very eery place in itself and had a lot of creatures roaming around, taking people at will.
    I hope and pray these people are found, therefore giving their families some peace 🙏
    But to be honest, I highly doubt that'll happen.

    Wow, I live in Louisville and I have never heard of Andrea's case. Granted I don't listen to the local news a lot because all of the negative stories. So sad. The neighborhood her family lives at is nice, but right outside of it is really sketchy.

    These three cases are all bizarre and chilling. The last case is the strangest to me. Just an older woman, dog sitting for someone, sends a pic of the dog to her daughter, and then vanishes with no public evidence. THAT is some creepy ish. That scares me.

      70 is not the age it once was years ago. You don't lose interest in romance just because you are 70 or older . An idea that many younger people fail to grasp about the older generation

    Why have cctv-cameras and not keep them working? Or the quality is just pixelated mush, where even mamas wouldnt recognize their own kids.. The second case I dont know what to think about, theres so many possibilities. Sadly, after witnessing several times this nearly supernatural need for men to pee in the water, especially after few drinks, I really think it cant be ruled out that he is in there. We have this one male friend who needs a constant supervision after three beers when there is water near, or a leash or electric fence or something.. The last case is unnerving. Something scary must have been going on, since she had taken the gun out. And left the door open, when she had a doggie inside to look after for. Hopefully these cases get solved, it must be pure torture to not know where your loved ones are. Awesome job as always, HC! All three were new to me, you magician :)

      Kelli Gray - I know, right! Maybe theres somekind of water-magnet attached to their winkies, if its not on all the time, it activates after alcohol is consumed. Thats my best theory :D

    When, are attractive young women; going to stop going out alone at night? How many more will be victimized before the connection is made between missing and being out at night alone? I called the police at 1:20 this morning because a woman was screaming bloody murder outside my Koreatown Apartment window. She was with a guy and there was an argument. I doubt it was their first. Why are women out with potentially dangerous men, late at night?
