How do 6 boys go missing?? They have to be in that marina somewhere ... even more odd that they split up and neither group made it back!? Where are the motorboats?!? Not even one body surfaces?!? So strange... missing without a trace, literally x6

I wish people would stop giving her unsolicited advice about her voice! It is distinctly human, and expresses the fragility of life. These poor souls have suffered something unknown and likely tragic; her voice reminds us of the delicate nature of life. Coupled with the music, the delivery of information in these videos is profound. I thank her for original content with respectful and empathetic delivery.

I was in the Coast Guard and when you plunge a 98.6 degree body into 55 degree water it doesn't take long. We always estimated 3-5 minutes before you would die. Having a wet suit on greatly increases your chance of survival. We found a guy one time who was hanging on a crab marker for two days and he was still alive. A lot of it depends on how physically fit you are and whether or not you panic.

The six boys decided to have a race on the lake. They split into two teams, with each team stealing a water craft. Then they met up further out in the lake away from land to race. Unfortunately, due to the alcohol consumed, the dark conditions and excitement, the two craft collided. The smaller water trike probably sank immediately, but the bigger boat was also holed and sank in a few minutes leaving all six of the boys in the water. It's dark, they are drunk, fully clothed without life jackets and the water is very cold. They all died within minutes and their bodies sank to the bottom of the lake along with the boat and trike.
As, someone else has pointed out, the lake bottom is lacking in Oxygen and so the bodies do not decompose, bloat and float up. They are still down there covered up by mud. What's almost as scary is that two other different bodies were found years later. How many other bodies are in that lake?

It's a huge lake, pretty much a freshwater sea. I don't really understand how the trike, with those huge float wheels, could completely sink. I guess if the boat hit it, they could have broken apart but that's kind of unlikely.

IKR?? It’s almost as if both vessels were dragged underneath at a quick rate of speed and the boys had no chance to escape. Could the water trike have quit running and maybe the boat was pulling it and they hit ice and quickly sank? This case is just so awful. The not knowing. 🙏🏻

Same. My cousin and a guy from her college were swept out to sea. Her body washed up a week later and we were able to lay her to rest. But the guy was never found. Some months later a torso was found in some other stretch of shore but was determined to not be the guy from my cousin's college. There was never any follow up on who the torso might have once belonged to. No report of anyone missing. Nothing. Very disturbing.

I actually wrote into the Australian podcast, Casefile to see if they would cover it a couple months ago. Poor Amber, it's a soul crushing story. I was on vacation in your lovely country when that case was all over the news, gosh like 16 or 17 years ago. Take care.

Sean Luby it’s very sad, I actually live where it happened and I honestly think the local police who aren’t used to dealing with such things, made too many mistakes. I have no doubt she is somewhere close by

One point... alcohol can stave off hypothermia. A chef from the Titanic drank a bottle of hard liquor, and he spent all night in the water and was rescued at at dawn. Dr's figured out that the alcohol prevented the blood from Freezing and thickening the blood.

A few months back, a body was found in a lake not too far from me of a man who was believed drowned (they saw him go under and not come back up in a boating accident I believe) in 1996 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This lake was WAY smaller than Lake Ontario. The great lakes have very large swells and waves, they can be just as dangerous as the ocean. There's no doubt in my mind that Lake Ontario is just hiding them really well.

It is so nice to hear a UA-cam channel where the background music plays *in the background!* I have no issues regarding the narration being given by human or computer generated voice over. It's the ridiculously loud music every similarly themed channel plays that makes picking up and following along with the speaker difficult.
