I hate it when somebody kills somebody like some of these cases and then the murderer gets to live out another 30-40 years having a nice long life that was denied to their victims.

Think of it this way: they get to watch whatever life they built for themselves wither away in front of their eyes.
They had a family that loved them -- now all they see is betrayal.
If they spent their entire work career building a nest egg, it won't matter because they'll be behind bars, or waiting for a needle.
No more grandkids remembering them lovingly. All they are now is a dirty little secret.
No one will remember them for anything they accomplished in life, just for their biggest crime/mistake.
If they don't care, so what? They'll be dead soon, anyway. The lives they took are worth infinitely more than the one they pissed away.

@@jenniferlane9000 and @Elizabeth Toye unfortunately with pleading guilty he never gave any indication of why he did it. Which I always thought sucks. If you plead guilty then part of it should be why and some sort of remorse or apology at sentencing. I'll have to see if I can find any more info for you guys. I have couple of friends who work at the prison he was held at before being sent "upstate " as they say. He was always incredibly vain ( which is hysterical that his most recent shows hin completely gray!) and if rumors were to be believed back then, was into some hardcore drugs among other things. Most definitely not an excuse but shows his mentality. The other ironic thing is in recent years, before his arrest, he had become very into healthy living and religious and a dad figure to his wife Elena's daughter who he had adopted. But in the months prior to this blowing up his FB posts had become very confrontational, sometimes political but always causing reactions. I know 1 post he had done on his wedding anniversary was creepy in hindsight instead of sweet. It had a pic of his future wife from behind and not even looking his way and he had said something along the lines of here's my beautiful wife who I was stalking and taking pics of before she even knew me. So yeah, personally that turns my stomach. And the only reason I do know these things are because I was one of his FB friends so this isn't a "but I heard", I know because (almost hate to admit it) of Facebook.

Nice work. You've earnd my sub. It's pretty exiting to think of how many other cold cases may be solved by virtue of familial DNA from these genealogy services. Regard with suspicion the person trying to talk you out of it 😅

As stated in a newer video; new viewer here. In my opinion, your voice is fine. Hearing the same type of tone/pitch again and again without deviation is mind numbing. It's nice to hear something different for once. The background music does not drown out your voice, and I find it to suit the content quite nicely.
I just had to say something because it's crazy how many people are complaining. 🤔 Like someone is forcing them to watch.

Your voice is actually great! And, great research on lesser-known cases! However, the music is unnecessary, distracting, & super annoying--if you need to keep it for the intro., that makes sense, but I think you'll rise quickly to the top of other True Crime channels if you drop it from the content.

It's one thing for me to give it voluntarily either to ancestry websites or even the police but for it to be a requirement is a right I'm not willing to give up. However if I do something bad and because my Mom had her DNA profiled on Ancestry.com gets me caught, oh well. But for the government to require a sample from every person for no reason whatsoever goes against everything the Constitution and Bill of Rights stands for, if you give the government an inch they will take a mile and then some.

There's some valid concern that access to DNA information can contribute to discrimination in the medical field, as it can identify genetic disease or risk factors associated with health conditions. This, of course, is only relevant in countries like the US where individuals have to find/pay for their own insurance.
This type of science is also the basis for the movie gattaca, which I'd suggest checking out. The main plot is that a man is discriminated against and denied job opportunities because his DNA suggests a very high risk for heart conditions and early death.

@@MyKali2009 Only criminals have to worry. They already have DNA database for convicted criminals. And it hasn't perverted any justice process but expedite the apprehension of suspect and prevent further victims. Your paranoia isn't helping. Stop trying to make it easy for criminals to get away. We need harsher punishment as well. Time to bring back dungeons for the most evil murderers.
