    My friend worked on a cruise ship and was raped by a crew member. She reported it to the Cruise Line and their solution was to move the Rapist to another ship. Seems like Cruise Ships are the perfect place to commit a crime and get away with it.

    They didnt interview the kids at all in the first case? If angies husband killed her the kids must’ve seen or heard something

    • @ASartori86
      @ASartori86 4 роки тому +9

      Because they're such minor children, I think they may have had to get the dad's permission to interview them or the Police may have decided to try and build a case without the children's testimony, that is if they saw anything at all. Another thing is that children do lie, and for various reasons and eyewitness testimony is often tenuous, even from adults.But what KILLS ME about this story is that those kids are going to grow up believing that their mother abandoned them and no longer loves them which is a blatant lie and INCREDIBLY cruel. Then the narcissistic father will paint himself as a "victim", which he has by saying how awful his wife was in leaving him in jail for 14 months. I'd not be surprised if he hasn't remarried, or at least be in a relationship, using the "woe is me" angle. But Angie must not have shared the abuse she was suffering with her mother because she is DELUSIONAL if she thinks Daniel is a nice guy. He KILLED her DAUGHTER and she's helping to raise her grandson's and doesn't see what a psychopathic predator he really is. I bet Daniel goes to bed at night and smiles at how wonderfully his plan went, even now having a live in babysitter. Psychopaths are as smooth as a baby's bum and so compelling and they can sell snow to an Eskimo. Daniel got away with murder. If the kids DID see something I hope that as they get older, they may say something that gives this case a boost, but I doubt it.

    Been waiting all day for you hcf! I've never heard of these! Sadly I live about 30 minutes away from a family who lost their daughter on a cruise ship. Many years ago now, but they feel that when they docked at a Dutch island she was smuggled off and trafficked, with some suggestive online photos of her a few years later. FBI was involved but didn't agree that it was her. These cases are so tragic. Not really sure I want to go on a cruise! Excellent stories and narration! Thank you!

      Last time Amy was seen was on the balcony, late at night, of her family's suite. I think she had been drinking, too. I find it a stretch that she went from there to being smuggled off the ship or kidnapped. Mistaken identity happens all the time in missing persons cases. The simplest answer, maybe not the most dramatic, is usually the correct one. She probably fell overboard.

      She got drunk and fell over the railing. Why is this so hard to believe? Her own father said she liked to sleep there. People *need* these cases to be conspiracies and trafficking because they can't accept that it's something so mundane. Sorry to disappoint you.

    The first case with "Angie" going "missing" was clearly foul play - the room cleaning staff would clearly note when her husband told them not to make the fourth bunk and his whole story is suspicious. But again, the Italian police obviously had nothing to prove him being guilty of a crime, so in the case of doubt.....! ???😕
    Angelo's case is also extremely tragic (as are all) and I think also that he knew of, or had witnessed, some nefarious doings of co- workers (smuggling drugs ?) and had been silenced - on board of a large ship this can be done quite easily, at night, who would notice a person going overboard, whether intentionally or not ? Very tragic stories - what would also interest me in a couple of cases is whether life insurances had covered the missing people and, if so, if these had been subsequently claimed upon ? Life insurances are always a prime motive for murder...!

    I’ve been on many cruises, there are endless places and ways to “get rid of” someone. Even if a cruise line caught illegal activity on video footage they wouldn’t share it for fear of their ship being stopped during the investigation which would cost them millions of dollars. I think it’s the ideal place for would be murderers because it takes very little to kill an elderly or inebriated passenger and toss them overboard. With no law at sea, who’s going to do anything about it? I also believe sometimes crew members also commit some of these disappearances. I try to never be alone in places that aren’t heavily populated and if your going to drink till your shit faced, stay away from balconies and railings.

      Oh definitely the staff must be doing some of these. It's such an anonymous environment! The people who work on board know the most about the ship, the schedule of events, the general habits of guests' coming and going. They have access and know when, where, and who is ideal, if it's a victim being sought. Very creepy to think about.

      Well yes, human nature is fundamentally... not good. I've told my daughter this many times. Civilization is something which is created and maintained only with great effort.
      I take my daughter on a cruise every year right after she gets out of school. She sticks with me the whole cruise. No kids club or anything. I'll rib her and tell her it's time to go to Camp Ocean and the look she cuts me is memorable. I admit she has better intuition than I do. A scheming crew member or opportunistic guest -either one can do someone in and dispose of the body easily, particularly if they're not that heavy. I tell her to always trust her gut instinct -because it's always true.

Third case, when boyfriend isn't concerned of your whereabouts HUGE red flag and didn't talk to her family, was controlling, etc so Ima go with the boyfriend did it. Fourth case, "no surveillance video" Really? foul play for sure. I was certain Amy Bradley would be on this list albeit her case has been significantly documented compared to some of those on your list. It’s a terrifying statistic that over 200 people have disappeared on cruise ships since the year 2000; over 20 people per year... Sure some may well take their own lives by jumping overboard and others will fall overboard whilst intoxicated, but surely with so many going missing, others are human trafficked, kidnapped and/ or murdered.

    Killing someone on a cruise ship tends to be rather easy. Often the ship is in international waters, and/or the police aren't interested because the person is not from the place closest to where the incident occurred. The legalities make it so difficult law enforcement often see it as a waste of time & money. Also the cruise ship company nor the employees are interested in helping. Often the employees are instructed to NOT talk to guests. A lot of the ships I've seen have cameras but only in limited areas.
    The whole scenario is a recipe for ease for bad people and frustration and sadness for the families

  • @patrickols
    @patrickols 5 років тому +6

    The major thing people overlook is that when you go on those ship, you are no longer in the USA or which ever western country you are from. Laws from these countries that protect you no longer apply. These ship are always registered in some basic shit hole country so they can get away from more serious laws in place in the USA and others that would cost them a lot of money to follow. Also these ship sail in international water where said laws no longer apply. In short you are on your own once you go onboard. These companies would rather cover up everything to save face and money then protect you or your family. Also while they have been lucky so far, one of these days a major disaster will occur with one of these giant ship that will make the Titanic look like nothing. You can claim they are safe but in the end Mother Nature always, always win.

    Oh he definitely murdered her in the third one. Almost all domestic murders are controlling men who’s significant other is going to leave them.
    Number 1 murder too.
    Cruising is fun, just be aware that all those companies care about their bottom line before anything else. They will go to great lengths to hide any bad publicity. They just don’t care.
    Quick tip, if you want to know anything about the ship, ask the crew that only comes out after most people have gone to bed. You have to get up very early to see them, in my case 5 am. Maintenance crew. They like to keep them hidden. But they can tell you anything about those ships and they are the nicest of the crew. Also house keeping goes through your stuff, keep your meds in the safe.
