She has a new form and denied the allegations. Only one she admits is to accept gifts from fans.
So Internet Overdose is already a song, so the version made was simply a cover though it does seem like the vtuber did indeed relate her own experiences in the song for the lyrics, rather than the proper lyrics.

@suited_elijah I like to do a high-pitched voice while I yell unhinged things at people. The voice itself being high-pitched isn't the problem. The problem is when people sexualize it or do it for fetish reasons. I've had guys who were actually INTO it, although most got a laugh out of killing me for it in games or some girls would baby me like I was a child. But the men who were into it made me feel icky and gross. I stopped doing it the second they hit on me and said it was hot. People really are so gross.

10:30 I don't think the size of her breasts was even the original point of contension. It was that she was intentionally revealing an excessive amount of cleavage to the point of being sexual in a way that should have conflicted with twitch TOS. I think its likley only after that people started pointing out how unnaturally large her breasts are, which fair enough, is bodyshaming, however when she's intentionally brought attention to her body through innapropriate clothing, I think it makes sense that thats a topic of discussion. Also, in my opinion "bodyshaming" only becomes an issue when its done to intentionally abuse people and put them down, e.g "your such a skinny ass loser, eat more." Or "ugh, that scar is ugly af. You'll never find love looking like that." I don't see an issue with comments like "your face seems unnaturally symmetrical. Did you get work done?" Or "I'm not sure I'd be into someone with hair like yours." That said, when commenting things based on peoples appearance that may seem negative or critical, it never hurts to throw in a compliment too.

As for the black VTuber awards, people will often say “there’s nothing preventing black people from getting nominated”. However, the VTuber community is known for their bigotry. I’ve seen black creators get called a whole slew of things, simply for being black. Even when it comes to Asian vtubers, if you defend a black creator that they don’t like, they immediately assume you’re black and start calling you slurs.
It isn’t as obvious as 1900s segregation but I’ve seen many people say “keep XYZ Asian” whenever a black person is involved. So, yes. There are things holding black VTubers back from succeeding in these spaces.
It’s not solely a VTuber thing but extremely common due to its overlap with the anime/art community. All it takes sometimes is being critical of a topic they deem “Japanese culture” (aka their generalized look at Japan) or wishing for more diversity for them to go aggro.
I agree. It reminds me of Black lives matter and All lives matter. If we would actually live in a society where all lives are treated with the same worth, disadvantaged groups wouldn't feel the need to shine a light on their struggle.

Its derived from the terms "net" as in internet and "okama" which is a colloquial term for men who act and dress effeminately in Japan. There's a lot of nekama even dating back to when the internet was just forum boards. And yes, there's a niche of people who are into that.

The first story, I think I had heard about this incident from FalseEyeD from last year but never dwell into it! Like geez, normally VTuber are "under control" as per company restriction and contract but for her, it was like "fucked it"!
Well was not expecting to see this from Akimbo however I heard alot about the Riro situation before and it never fails to make me laugh in some regards.

As somebody who works closely with Vtubers, I knew about the Black Vtuber Awards, Kyoresu, the boob girl, and the Smash or Pass drama. Never heard of that other dude.
The Smash or Pass thing was wild. She was ABSOLUTELY being shitty towards Dragonspit and just dug her ass deeper in and deeper in that damn hole lol. Then of course the Vtuber community went apeshit on her lmao.
A whole damn lot of "Predebut" Vtubers with no intentions on streaming out there on Twitter lol.
But for the uninitiated, there's a new vtuber drama almost daily lol. These are just the tip of thr dumpster fire that Vtuber Twitter can sometimes be lol. Not always but man when it happens it's nuts lmao.
This sort of drama was damn fun to look into because it's all just so unhinged, the fans go from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat
@@FoxAkimbo Look around you'll find all sorts of fun drama. There's the Nijisanji EN dumpster fire still burning as a good example. You could fall into one hell of a rabbit hole with Vtuber drama alone. The Mikeneko and Mafumafu situation is absolutely wild as well.

In the anime community there’s a genre of a male character (usually the protagonist) and a herd of female characters who fall in love with said male character, the male often “cannot choose” between them, and therefore chooses all the women and has a relationship with them all (where all girls know about it and share the male). A reverse harem is the reverse, where a bunch of men are in a relationship with a sole female.
Group of people sexually attracted to one person
Historically in Central Asia, Middle East, and other regions. This is typically with one man of high status (wealthy, a ruler, etc) and a bunch of chicks to have sex with, either as concubines for children or just for his pleasure. "Reverse harem" usually means a woman with a group of men for her. In the anime community, both harem and reverse harem series are extremely popular...
Edit: I just realized the shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette can also be used to demonstrate harem/reverse harem.

No exactly this. Like we have pride and black history month and other minority-centric events for a reason, that reason being WE'RE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ALL THE TIME. White, straight, cis people don't need events specifically for them because they're the "default." It's not bigoted to want something that lifts up the minority you belong to when your everyday life is filled with discrimination.
I totally agree. Im white, and while it def takes some awareness that others that are Caucasian have, when you look you can definitely see biases that are still ingrained in esp western society, when talking about those with dark skin vs those with paler complexions.
In a perfect world, awards etc would be given with zero biases towards race or gender, but unfortunately the world isnt perfect. There definitely needs some more inclusivity in vtuber spaces.

Black vtuber here. The awards show seems to follow the same path as BET (Black Entertainment Television here in the US), where we made our own media because we were being drowned out in the mainstream. It's not meant to segregate ourselves but to show people in our own community things that we may miss if we aren't digging forever to find them. To say it is segregating ignores the obvious favoritism and racism that leads to us making these spaces in the first place, and the remarks people made in response (though, you are right that a bunch got deleted for being heinous) is just further proof.
I hope this helped, even though I didn't even participate in it (My channel is way too small and I'm trying to renovate over streaming atm anyways).

Pale skin models(Light Asian and White) are HEAVILY favored in the Vtubing community. This is because there is overlap from the anime community, which is still extremely racist. We literally saw an example of this racism within the video. I also have not seen many Black Vtubers signed to companies either(I personally don't know one. Feel free to correct me). Whenever the topic of Vtubers is mentioned, I don't know many who can name a single black or brown Vtuber. The reason why an Award show for just them would need to exist is to highlight their success without being overshadowed. Black people don't WANT to segregate themselves. We feel like we have to to get acknowledged within Vtubing as a whole.

Being a woman myself, i dont think the second story is on bosyshaming. Well, not entirely since thats how it devolved into. This reminds me a lot of the whole lewdtube problem that Twitch has had for a while. If that streamer had a better shirt on and the gameplay actually being the primary point of notice (its in the bottom corner after all), then yeah the vtuber would absolutely be in the wrong. But my goodness, that lady is showing a LOT of clevage and honestly i think THATS the actual problem here. Or should be. Since that sort of thing does break tos, whether we like it or not
