  • Ever since my initial video on the Shelby Grace/William Gold story, many other facts and details have come out, prompting me to make a second video to follow up on what people are discussing and theorizing. Within this video, we'll go through Shelby's subsequent response to Wilbur's statement, other creator's statements which released after my initial video went up, the Jebediah Springfield incident, and the statement from another one of Wilbur's ex's, Alice.
With more details about people associated with Wilbur in the past still coming out, there is a possibility that I follow this video up with yet another, but that is still left to be seen.

Alice's statement regarding her time with Wilbur Soot deeply disturbed me. From what she wrote, Wilbur came off as a narcassistic and self-centered man with very little empathy to the people whom he supposedly loves the most. This is obviously a far cry from the caring and sympathetic persona he typically displays in his streams which showcases how manipulative and secretive this man really is. To keep up a facade so drastically different from his true self *live on streams* for over *4 years* is INSANE.
More than that, the implication of sexual assault and derogatory remarks by the end disgusts me deep to my stomach. This is a man who constantly preaches *equality* and *fostering a safe space* for his audience; a man who's emphasized time and time again that he's always growing and bettering himself. In reality, he's just a sick, self-centered man who probably doesn't give two shits about other people, just how he can benefit off them.

i don't know how old you are but yeah, people who are insistent on showing how kind & selfless they are publicly usually have a lot of skeletons in their closet.
and i don't think keeping up a streamer persona for 4 years is "insane", the guy doesn't have to show anyone online his real personality and that's how most streamers do things.

@@martinszymanski2607 Keeping up a persona is very common and I get that; but what I'm saying is Wilbur's persona is so worlds apart from his true self that I am shocked he's able to keep it up in that medium for such a long time. Most streamers play exaggerated versions of themselves, but Wilbur played an entirely different person which is what gets me, this is why I specifically pointed out how "drastically different" his persona was. And the fact that he was able to so easily slip into those shoes and fool everyone (even some of his own close friends) for so long is at least a little bit disconcerting, no?

I think the part of Wilbur's apology that really gets to me is that he simultaneously tried to claim that he had been to therapy and was all fixed and no longer the terrible person he once was, but also tried to act like all the worst things he'd done were somehow news to him and still refused to recognise that it was abuse. I ask this bc my dad breed a litter of golden doodle once and the vet recommended to keep the litter together as long as possible to make them well tempered bc they bite each other and realize that it hurts so it naturally teaches them that biting can hurt. My dog is the only one that bites but she did grow up with a couple of her litter mates. We also had a dog that we adopted when she was little but adopted another puppy around the same time and she knew to bite softly as well. We never really had to teach them. There was a point when my dog was having more accidents when biting so I softly bit her back and that seemed to do the trick at having less accidents.
Maybe try expressing the pain more dramatically and stopping contact at the same time. They will eventually learn that fun times stop when they bite hard.

The worst part is, Wilbur loves his phycology. He was doing these things knowingly, using love bombing on his partners, using manipulation and choosing words that people will like to hear to his advantage, gaslighting his victims, and hurting practically everyone.
I used to look up to Wilbur, like a LOT, and to find out all this man really was, was an image ment to be perfect, hurts. I always tought Wilbur would be the last person to do something like this, because that's exactly what he wanted to achieve, and that hurts.
We as fans have been made to believe this man is a saint that could do no harm, it's why there's people who still stand for Wilbur, and for example, even I wish sometimes this wouldn't have happend because how much I love his content, but no, I'm not saying I wished we never found out, I'm saying I wish he was never like this.
While I support Shelby and Alice, and all the other victims, i do feel bad for the people that were close to wilbur that had no idea, like Jack, Phil, but the most Tommy. Tommy was a child when he met Wilbur, and they have gotten a bond where they unironically would call eachother their brother because that's how close they were. I am a bit worried about what all Wilbur has done near or even to Tommy, since they were basically attached at the hip. I wouldn't be suprised if Tommy has been throught a lot of fucked up shit, and never realised like everyone else purely because he saw Wilbur as a good person thanks to the image Wilbur always held up of himself to look like one. I definitely thought of Wilbur as a feminist, in fact, I specifically remember literally crying at the exact clip you shared because I resonated so much with it and was going through that exact struggle. Although I have not actively watched Wilbur for a long time I was a big fan of his at one point and I still get occasional videos that make Wilbur seem like a supportive and wonderful person. Now, everything I look back on seems like a red flag pointing to who he truly is. I am so sorry for Shubble, Minx, Nickie, Alice, and Zoe. It is truly horrible that they had to go through this and I hope they can all heal.
On a relatively unimportant note, I have seen many people who openly love Wilbur (lovejoy patches and dream smp buttons with Ghostbur and blue) and I feel bad for everyone who has been led to believe they can trust him.

Which now seem to be turning out as very true. I am not saying this in a "Stir the pot" fashion, not at all. I personally, have also been listening to Wilbur's music for a very long time, and it genuinely hurts me to remove the music from his own albums from my playlists. Those songs have gotten me through some of the toughest stuff I have gone through. First, this is guilty until proven innocent. You want definite proof of the accuser being wrong, until then you believe them. I'm currently believing Shubble, as the situation seems more in her favor, given statements from various people, but you're very hypocritical in your proof standards. You should want proof from both sides for their respective arguments. You should want proof for Shubbles accusation and Wilburs defense. And yet, you chose to just believe Shubble and want proof for the opposite. You should rethink that approach and maybe you can:
Second, split the art from the artist. If you enjoy Lovejoy, his old content, etc. still enjoy it. If it gave you inspiration or shapes you, let it influence you. Even if the accusations are true, that doesn't make his music less beautiful, this doesn't undo the help and mental strength it gave you to go through hard times, and it doesn't undo the joy you felt watching the content. Please, learn to draw lines. Distance yourself from now on, if you need, but don't cut all ties to something that helped you a lot.

If the allegations are true, and he’s not being held accountable for his actions, then he could hurt more women. If this man is truly dangerous, then he should be treated as such. It's very unlikely that the evidence would be enough to stand in the court of law, for that to have worked Alice would of had to immediately gone to the hospital upon waking up after her assault and then do a police statement. Between shock, confusion and pain that just isn't what most people go to. Many of us don't even realize we've been assaulted until after. Saying "stop" and someone not immediately stopping during sex is sexual assault. But usually we give them the benefit of the doubt, why would they PURPOSEFULLY hurt us?
In my case I went the police with solid evidence, but because a lot of the evidence was online they didn't help me. I'm sorry to say in most places the actual act of getting help is a lot harder then it looks from the outside.

In one scene he was seen smiling with a bandage on his face( like he described in a line from "Since I last saw Vienna") and I hope that the girl in the vlog, that he made the album about, will come forward. I think that her experience could be the most telling out of all of them. Maybe it is Alice, but I doubt it because it was released in 2020 but in the song he mentions "It's been 60 weeks since I last saw Vienna" and I don't know if it was made even before(2019/Alice)or not.

I'm gonna be honest here and what I'm saying may make some people angry but I wanna be real; I think the idea of "Believe all victims, always" is very dangerous and a horrible approach to take.
Now just to clarify, I'm not saying we should always believe the accused, what I am saying we should stay neutral until both sides have had their say and presented their sides before we decide who's side we are on.
The main reason why I do not like this approach is what happened to ProJared, he was accused of sending inappropriate pictures to minors and almost everyone believed them. I'm even sad to admit that I even was guilty of doing this but once he made his response video and cleared his name, I realized we all had been deceived and blindly follow what his accusers say.
For the record though; I do believe Shelby. Wilbur's response to this was downright appauling and after all this other evidence has come out, like the infamous tree story with Techno Blade we well as people that you'd expect to take his side turning against him, I can say out of the 2 that's most credible, Shelby is the 1 to go with.
All I'm saying is I really do think there is a dangerous side to just blindly believing the victims, by doing that you are risking making people that are innocent into actual victims of lies and misinformation.

I'm someone who has gone through abuse so shelby saying something is amazing, its not easy to talk about much less confess about the abuse given how many people support Wilbur. And I do hope the victims who haven't said anything are doing okay and are safe.
And when the drama with dream came up he didn't try to manipulate people within a fake apology, he just calmy explained everything and gave proof which is much better than what wilbur did. Its honestly sad seeing how many people are turning out to horrible/disgusting people.
Though I am glad that Shelby has support from her friends, its nice to see that aren't trying to accuse of her lying or something. I truly hope all the other victims hsve support as well.

Take a neutral side and do not follow the hoard of people going to where they get less hate like 90% of these so called friends do. This is why we have a thing called playing the victim card because some people pretend to be the victim to get more fame or reputation not saying that is the case here but in todays world anything could be true.

I personally find all of this super interesting. I never watched willbr soot but my ex boyfriend LOVED HIM and based his whole personality off of him. The hair the clothes the posh voice everything. And my ex boyfriend was super abusive. Not physically, though he was rough and gave me bruises regularly when biting my neck (but I didn't mind at the time because physical pain during intimacy doesn't upset me) He was emotionally manipulative and constantly threatened to kill himself. He would take just enough paracetamol to get him to the hospital and sent home again. All for attention and to guilt me after arguments. Idk man hearing all this makes me feel heard because It feels as though I was dating a little clone of willbr. I was also demonized by his friends. After we broke up my ex told them that I cheated on him (I didnt. I got SA'd in a forrest) and he would trigger me publically by putting his hands in my face (I'm autistic and this makes me feel really Invaded and trapped) so that I would lash out and he could be seen as a victim.

Oof that's awful, the detail about him deliberately triggering autistic meltdowns/fight or flight responses is particularly significant to me because I see people trying to say that autistic victims are actually the abusers because of lashing out instinctively when overwhelmed. My mum acts like my brother abused her before he was even an adult for hitting her when she screamed at him. It's why my own meltdowns are mostly shutdowns where I dissociate and lose the ability to communicate instead of instinctively protecting myself, and that has made me more vulnerable to abuse :(

In the polish youtube community we had a very similar case of "apology" sometime last year, it was a case of domestic abuse as well, and that situation was overall very similar. (Gargamel was the name of his channel if anybody's curious) The victim came forward, the creator apologized with a heavy focus on himself rather than the victim, everybody simultaneously cut ties with him, the community was in chaos. It's very surreal to see a case so similar but on a global scale.
Of course, I hope Shelby moves on and copes with everything that has happened. Domestic abuse and intense manipulation is something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy, and how someone can do this to another person disgusts me

I personally think you should be on the victims side until proven wrong. People cannot just say that this is drama. This is just abuse. This is manipulation, and physical abuse. No one should be on Wilbur’s side just because he helped them through music or whatever. I understand being upset, but you cannot defend his actions. Wilbur’s friends and Shelby’s friends all sided with her because there has been actions he had done that makes it believable, or people who just have been hurt by him or seen people get hurt by him.

i think you should support and believe the victim, but dont do anything bad to the person being accused without evidence.
false accusations are life ruining, and you cant just take a victims word, run with it, and destroy the life of person being accused.
that said, you should believe any victims, but dont take their word as fact unless they have concrete evidence.
in this situation, theres more than enough proof to show that wilbur is an abuser which is simply disgusting, but i genuinely cant believe how people are so willing to ruin peoples lives even without concrete evidence, like what happened to dream and whats happening to george right now.

Innocent until proven gulity. I do not support Wilbur nor do I support his victims but to me seems like a grand master plan to ruin Wilbur's career since how fast all of his victims are coming out.
And considering how all allegations are announced online than going through inital court cases just proves that this is not all true and matter of fact emphasises on my opinion that all of Wilbur's friends (excluding Tommyinnit as I havent seen his reaction) wanted him out and to ruin his reputation to the point of no coming back.
Maybe something did happen off camera with all of his friends wanting to ruin him, or maybe Wilbur did assualt those girls. I personally feel that it this should of stayed off camera and gone to court than trying to ruin him online without solid evidence. I mean look at the Tubbo allegation, and yet Tubbo is off clean (knowing that it was fake allegations), why cant Wilbur be seen under the same light as Tubbo. Isn't it so convenient that every single time that a creator is outed for abuse it's all a conspiracy. Why is it so difficult to believe that when 93% of women experience abuse in their lifetime that some of their abusers will be famous? It doesn't give them a free pass. It doesn't make grand plans. Particularly when the victims always recieve more criticism than the abusers. The mental gymnastics people like you have to do will never cease to baffle me.

    • @CoolzTR
      @CoolzTR 18 годин тому +1

@yikes8932 Okay, I get that you hate what I said, and although I don't understand that last part with mental gymnastics, I want to believe every victim of abuse because it is not right either way. But, ever since the MeToo movement, there have been women abusing that power to get at their ex-partners or wanting to ruin someone credibility. This is why I always agree to the idea of going into court and having more than one person opinion. Take the Johnny Depp case vs. Amber Heard, everyone loves Depp and the court ruled that Heard was out to get him. If Depp did abuse Heard, then he would get the Wilburr treatment instantly. So why is it wrong of me to state the obvious that this should of gone to court instead of online if these allegations were serious as they proclaim to be?
Like I said before, I will love to support every woman victim but, it is hard to support, let alone go near a woman, when they only want to cause trouble. For Wilburr sake and these allegations, go to court and provide evidence and let the justice system decide.
      Innocent until proven guilty.

I understand when Shubbles says that all her friends didn't blindly sided with her, but most of Wilbur's friends if I'm correct said they didn't know this side of Wilbur and have left his side because siding with a possible abuser is just morally wrong and to believe victims would be the correct way to handle this type of situation, which kind of just says they blindly trusted her. Of course how Wilbur has acted makes me more incline to believe in Shubbles but I'd still like some sort of physical proof to insure this is true since we only have hearsay and second hand or first hand encounters that could have been easily mistaken, forgotten, fabricated, and etc.

As Shelby said, it took her months of therapy and other people speaking to her for her to realise she was abused, add on the fact that the bites were on more private areas of her body, I don't believe many people would want to take photos of them, it can be embarrassing to admit you've been abused, and even upsetting to have to photograph the evidence.

That is why I personally believe Tommyinnit hasnt come out with a statement is that he is genuinely taking time to consider what happened here.

Hes waiting for Wilburs full statement. If he - or anyone for that matter - didnt side with shelby they would lose their careers.
Jackmanifold said "ive never had a bad experience with wilbur" and shubbles fans attacked him for defending him

It could also be someone from his band who didn't have twitch but wanted wilbur to be able to continue streaming so they made an account
