In this Hotpoint Washing Machine Troubleshooting Video I will show you the steps to take to fix a front loading Hotpoint Washing Machine that wont Drain Water.
Are your clothes coming out wet or your Hotpoint Washing Machine is full of water at the end.
I'll show you how to diagnose a Hotpoint Washing Machine Drainage problem and the Hotpoint Washing Machine Drainage pump filter problem.
This is a Hotpoint Washer not Draining.
If you still have problems and the Hotpoint Washing Machine won't drain water then it's time to call a Washing Machine Engineer or a Plumber.

Thanks Lurgs - just took the filter out and found an elastic band that has been impeding the spinning thing which has been gradually worsening the draining out over the past couple of weeks. This was an excellent step by step guide for me, much appreciated!

I find soaking the dispenser draw in toilet bleach for 10 minutes gets rid of every bit of dirt

Hi Lurgs, I have an indeset washing machine , the standpipe is 66cm from the floor, the pipe going from the back of the machine on the left to the standpipe on the right, it goes horizontally across back of machine and down into the standpipe, my washing is now not draining even in a spin.. is the standpipe too low please? Would that be a problem? It was like this when I moved in.. Thanks for any advice Lurgs! 😊 I've checked the filter.. really clean.
No that should be ok as water is pumped out and the weight of the water should make it flow and move. Maybe the pump has failed or there’s a blockage in the drainage hoses

Hey what do you do if you just can't open that bit more than a slight turn? Mine won't turn more than a quarter turn and I just don't want to force it in case I snap something

@@bexhand2968 Oh I see. It’s bound to be a metal hair clip. Best bet is keep tightening then untightening until hopefully it clears. Good luck
@Lurgs How To Guides I tried that with pliers too, but it still stops turning at the same place, so I imagine something is jamming it. Thanks though I'll keep trying 😏

We have the same problem but we are unable to get anything out whatsoever
You should be able to see any debris in there and flick it out with a flag bladed screwdriver or something similar. Or a small grab claw which people use when they drop screws into engine bays etc
Iv got a brand new washing machine and mines not draining at all iv got a Hotpoint it’s connect too under the sink any ideas?
How odd. If it’s brand new and the hose is connected then it should all work. It could be faulty.

You may be able to turn it using pliers then simply buy a new filter, but beware of lots of water. Good luck

Hi, the propeller does spin but Feels like it catches almost elastically on every quarter turn - no obvious culprit though! Any idea?
It could be a hairband stuck behind it maybe, make sure there is nothing blocking it. Else it could be the pump is faulty.

Hiii.. My washing machine doesn't take water..
Check the mains cold water feed pipe, make sure it's not kinked. Check if there's an inlet filter where the hose goes in, this may be blocked up
the valves fail they are cheap to replace
I found a coin and thought i'd done it ! No look again there was other stuff stopping the Impaller
