- This video covers five reasons why a Hotpoint/GE washing machine is not draining. The washer in the video is model HTW240ASK5WS, however this video is applicable to a wide range of Hotpoint and GE washers. 7/5/2024. I was washing my blanket like normal and i noticed when it was in drain/spin mode it was shaking extremely bad. Well i put it in manual drain mode and it drained perfectly, then tried again now its not draining. I did hear a LOUD!!! POP! But now its full of water so ill have to drain it by hand or pump.

I don't think it's my belt because It agitates when it's washing. It's filled with water so I'm going to have to manually get the water out first. I already checked the tube in the top where the water level thingies at.
The water is not going through the machine do you think it has something to do with the lid

What size bolt and how do you get bolt out
We literally just bought this brand today brand new and hooked it all up but when we turned in on, its leaking from underneath but it not coming from the pump. I'm lost now.
Definitely take that back to the store!
Anyone knows how to remove the agitator so I can was the scrud out of it?
There's a bolt in the middle of the agitator you're going to need a really long tool to get it out. I had to replace my agitator because it was stripped on the bottom.

I have the same one. My work clothes got stuck before the drain and spin cycle. It clicks about five six times and also doesn’t lock now. I have no clue what to do.

I’m trying one of your repairs on my washer - but- how do you completely drain the washer before you tip it on its back??
Multiple methods: Trying pulling the drain hose out of the standpipe and and into a bucket on the ground, if that doesn't work try to get as much water out by manually emptying it, and lastly harbor freight sells a $15 transfer pump that works great!

just keeps on breaking every so often

There was a sock in there but now it’s just humming when I plug it in
Let it hum for a couple of minutes. Sometimes, these washers go into flood mode. If the humming doesn't stop after 5 minutes, then it is possible the sock burned the pump.

What if a bunch of water comes out after removing the hose but there is nothing in the hose clogging it?
Most likely bad drain pump
Nit filling or spinning but belt is fine

i think you may have forgotten that the lid lock may also be a problem
