Thankyou, did exactly as you said after youtube’ing the error on my hotpoint washing machine. Emptied the drum, found multiple little bits that would stop the waste pump from working. Cleared it straight away it is working. UA-cam has saved me a lot of call out fee’s and repair fees (apart from part costs) since buying my home. Thankyou

Emptying the filter worked for a short while. I got £1.27 in change out. Later had to tip machine on its side and take off the pipe and I got another £10.44 out. I let it fall out into a saucepan. I thought I had won the jackpot in Vegas!

Where’s the video for cleaning the filter please? I have taken it out and removed gunk but the machine still isn’t emptying properly and making a weird rattling noise

Phew! Thought I was going to have to buy a new machine which I didn't want to do as I am selling my house. After doing what you advised I found a colour catcher and a £1 coin (no clue how that got there has I always check the pockets) the machine is spinning as we speak. Thank you for your helpful video

Thanks. Please watch the other video if you have water in the machine. It will take 30 mins to 1hr to drain the water bit by bit on the tray. I emptied the water but there was nothing in my filter. I put my hand inside to check and spun the filter which was ok. I turned the machine to spin the clothes and it started to work again with no error code . 🤷♀️. I am not sure why it originally stopped as it was not overloaded either. The machine is about 8 months old i have never had a problem beforehand even with other brands. Hopefully it continues to work, but i will keep an eye on the filter, which is always recommended. Many thanks 😊

Thanks my filter was staffed with clothe fibers. I cleaned it and the washing machine is up and running again. ...Be ready to mop lots of water from the floor :)

Oh no, I got the error code F05 on my trusty Hotpoint washer! But thanks to the help in this video (and the other one you linked to for clearing out the pump filter) I was able to clear the code with ease and only a small amount of water sloshing on the floor. Turned out to be a colour catcher sheet which had somehow slipped through the drum and lodged itself firmly in the impeller. Inside half an hour, our busy household is back to having a working washing machine. Thank you!!

Hello, I have a problem with my Hotpoint Smart Tech WMFUG942 washing machine, mine has worn suspension and it’s starting to show signs of a broken spider because it’s making noises. I have videos on my channel about work suspension and for that causing unbalanced spins. The display is also pushed in and it rattles like mad during spin aswell. The buttons beep constantly when I’m not even touch it ( happens on cotton sdandard 40 Or programme 4 ) Thanks for any help in advanced sincerely, Smart Storm.

Thanks for the video. 3 days before Xmas the washer won't drain. Now working so far. A bit advice for the future design, maybe stop the water out when the code F05 shows! I didn't know and just kept trying turn it off then start a new run, ending up water built nearly half full😂😂 took nearly 3 hours to drain all the water out.

Cleaning the filter did the job. Did it myself this time. Why the engineer we had out last time told us every time we take it out we had to purchase a new filter I don't know??

If step 1 and 2 does not solve your problem make sure you did not overload the machine with soft large clothes that can close and block all the little holes in the drum. MY problem was becase of that. Remove as much water as from the filter at the front-bottom. Then open the door, remove enough clothes and run spin and drain program and do not overload your machine anymore.

Can I open the bottom bit if the machine has alot of water inside the machine will all the water spill out or just some in the filter?

You can remove the bottom kit panel without any water coming out... The water will be held inside the filter. The amount depends on how much is in the drum if there's none inside the drum then a small amount will be in the filter. But if theres water inside the drum it will all try to escape via the filter.

Very hard to pinpoint what could have caused this issue...May have been a transit bolt not removed properly, therefore blocking the drum. But it could be something completely different.
If it happens again please give us a call on 03448 224 224 you have a full year manufacturing warranty
