    Would love to buy this tractor and start me a little side business. Back in the 1950s, my grandfather entered a contest with an essay he wrote on why he used Ferguson farm equipment (was just Ferguson back then). He won the contest with the essay he wrote (once the company Reps visited his farms and confirmed he used Ferguson equipment), and, as a result, he won a brand new Ferguson tractor. This was actually a huge deal in his area back in the day. Newspapers from numerous counties covered the story.

      That is very cool story. Wonder if there is any reference on the internet to read that essay. If you find a link please share. Thanks for the comments & watching.

    Hi, so what engine revs should you mow with deck mower? U state keep at 2500 rpm but deck mower manual states full throttle? Thanks 🙏🏼

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  3 роки тому

      You run PTO Applications at Rated PTO Speed. GC1723E is rated at 2600RPM and GC1725M is rated at 3000 RPM. You can lower RPM if light volume mowing and creating to much turbulence and blowing grass down in not cutting or you can raise RPM is high volume conditions.

  • @dandersonjr
    @dandersonjr 5 років тому +1

    At what speed could you mow efficiently

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  5 років тому

      That is going to vary by ground conditions, contour of the land and the height and thickness of grass. My customers love them and no one has said they are limited in mowing speed but are limited because of the ground conditions of their acreage.

  • @georgecass8529

    Seat should be standard with armrests . Also should have folding ROPS

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  2 роки тому

      The E Series GC1723E is the basic version and if you want higher speced machine like added armrest, more HP, higher flow hydraulics, and some other added features the M Series, GC1725M is the higher spec version.
      If you go to a Folding Roll Bar it has to extend higher and you would have to fold down every time you entered a doorway under 6' Tall,

  • @oddlyrightoddlyright2475

    The difference in the 1723 vs 1725 hp but it looks like the 1725 has an overall higher rpm range
    Does that mean have to run the 1725m at higher rpm to get the 540 pto speed or the 2000rpm mid pto speed?

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  2 роки тому

      11% more Horsepower but the Rated PTO Speed for both 540 and 2000 is higher at 3000 RPM. You also get arm rests, power socket in glove box, rear worklight, hazard light protectors and 1/2 GPM Faster Hydraulics on GC1725M..

    No arm rest

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  4 роки тому

      The GC1725M has armrest standard equipment. the GC1723E is the Entry Level Model and Arm Rests are an add-on option.

    To have a snow blower attachment requires hydraulics. I have no need for a front loader, yet the dealer near me insists on ordering a unit with a FEL, which I do not need, nor wish to pay for. He tells me since the hydraulics have to be installed for the snow blower, one should purchase a FEL anyway to keep resale value high. Since all these machines, no matter the make, depreciate roughly 13-14% annually, the FEL is inconsequential to me as far as resale value is concerned. I am attempting to have a unit sold to me the way I want it designed, with the attachments I want, not what the dealer wants to sell. I have looked at used ( and quite abused) machines , with low hours but no owners with common sense, which presents me with a dilemma, namely, if I cannot get a new unit with what I want delivered, how can I purchase a used one with low hours and in good mechanical order. Is that even possible? Am I better purchasing new with attachments I do not want and will not use simply to maintain resale value? ( I am older and plan on leaving this so my son anyway, so resale value is really not a consideration as much as having a reliable machine that will perform as designed and expected). Primary use of this machine would be to snow blow up a 20-24 degree inclined driveway. Does not having a FEL really see a huge decline in resale value opposite to having one? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      You can buy the GC1723E or GC1725M with no loader and have hydraulics. Actually since filming this video they no longer offer the GC1723E without hydraulics. All non-loader tractors have Hydraulics and joystick. If you don't need a loader don't buy it. Just get the Tractor and Snowblower. Actually these Massey Ferguson hold their retail value. First couple years take a hit but after that the value starts to trend upward not downward as they age...if you take care of them.

    • @iliveinreality
      @iliveinreality Рік тому +1

      They definitely don’t decrease 13-14% annually every year, not even close

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Рік тому

      @ryanpward7372 you are correct. We are seeing increase in trade values and many items above the original sales price because of the price increases in the recent years of new models. Trade Value is more based off what Current Year Model Pricing is than depreciated value off Purchase Price. One thing that Purchasing a Tractor offers that very few other industries can offer.
