    So glad they kept the style of this tractor! I'm still happy with my 2018 1526 & my 1959 M-F 50 & my brother is thinking he will buy the 1526 this year as well, instead of the sub compact GC1725 . Thank You for showing the upgraded 1526H these are really Mighty- Fine tractors.

      I'm just checking this video out again , Because I never get tired of looking at it ! & IMHO this is the best compact on the market ,& not because I own one & 21/2 years in I would still give my 2018 a 5*star rating. My brother decided to go with a M-F GC 1723 EB & this will be his 1st tractor ever & it should be in about 3 weeks YAY! Another Mighty-Fine tractor in the family. & nobody in the family previously owned a tractor ,So I was the 1st with my 1959 M-F 50 ,& that bring us up to 3 Massey -Ferguson's & there might be more in the future? Thanks again for your informative videos & I did get my brother to watch your videos, Thanks again.

    Amazing they still make this model. I bought mine in 2015. I think it has 750 hours. Mine has loader, mid mower, rear work light, and 1 set rear remotes. I would really like the skid steer quick attach. No def, no computers, just mechanical reliability. I won't be selling mine anytime soon 😉

      Actually Massey Ferguson had discontinued the 1526 but brought it back quickly at Dealer & Customer Request because it offers Added Features, Size and Mid-PTO Option between a Sub Compact and the 1835M Premium Tractor. Great Tractor for Snow Blowers, Mid Mount Mower when someone wants more than a Sub Compact but doesn't want to jump all the way up to the 1835M. And it's under 25 Engine HP which is one of the levels of Emission Requirement Changes. 2021 is the 10th Anniversary of the 1526.

    I bought one brand new in 2013 and still have it, no issues at all. Great tractor all around. Really the main difference between mine and the new ones are the loaders, mine has the L90 loader. 3 range hydro is really nice and the side by side pedals are great. Thanks for the video on the new 1526’s.

      That's pretty much the big change in the 1526 is updated loaders and now included Skid Steer Quick Attach. Haven't needed much change. Been an awesome tractor for us and our customers

    Just seems like the right size for a smaller property, I would even opt for this over the GC series. I hope at some point they redesign the front, but that’s okay.

      Massey makes several options for smaller acreage owners. We did a video recently on the three Series of 25 HP Models: ua-cam.com/video/Vrjg05E54GE/v-deo.html and 1526 is one of them. We've asked for styling upgrade but the 1526 is very special model and lots of features for the value. Thanks for the comments and watching

      @VahrenbergImplement  2 роки тому +1

      ROPS is over the top of the customer to protect them in case of roll over and keep operator and limbs ( arms & Legs ) in he required containment zone. Don't know why people would complain it's there to save their life if they get into a roll over situation.

      It requires Remote Valve Kit and normally they use power beyond plate to access hydraulics. Takes some time but someone with mechanical knowledge can do pretty easily,

    • @VahrenbergImplement

      The Kubota L2501 is more like the Massey Ferguson 1825E Full Compact. 1526 size is between the 1825E and GC Series Sub Compact. This video we did several years ago show the size differences in the 3 chassis sizes of 25 hp compacts from Massey Ferguson 1726E became the 1825E now. ua-cam.com/video/uLNvIL8GoQ4/v-deo.html

    Hi Doug. I just took delivery on one of these from a local dealer. I got it with the soft drive kit and noticed that the float function doesn’t work quite right when the soft drive is turned on. Have you ever heard of this?
    Thanks!
    -Brad

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  3 роки тому

      That is one of the things with SoftDrive is you can Turn Off by the lever when you do not like the accumulator on. I can see where Float Position would act different when SoftDrive is Engaged. Turn the lever and turn it off when your working with Float Position. When carrying turn it back on.

    Doug, You recommended I look at this model when I made a comment on the 1725M. I know the 1526 is 600 pounds heavier, so wondering if it is too big for mowing the yard. What is your feedback from customers who use it with the MMM for mowing. Specifically their large front yards. Is it too big and heavy? It looks like a great sweet spot we are looking for between 2 other machines we use. Thanks Doug

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  2 роки тому +1

      I don't have a tractor to measure that height and not in Operators Manual only Top of ROPS with R4 Tires is 96.1" but the top of seat I know is much less than 6' that is how tall I am. Guessing in the 5' Height range when ROPS is folded. I just measured a 1800E it's 70" at Folding point.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  3 роки тому +1

      Remote Couplers are Raise/Lower Spring Return to Neutral Valves. They do not have detent nor float as my understanding. Never sold rear remotes on 1526. Backhoes are normally supplied hydraulics by Power Beyond Valve connected to hydraulic system so it doesn't over heat the Open Center Hydraulic Systems which are used on Compacts and Utility Tractors.

If we had to rely on 10 Year Old and New Massey Ferguson Tractors for profit center for this dealership I'd starve to death. We have accidents and minor issues but major issues has been almost zero. That includes everything from GC Series to 400hp 8700S Series Tractors. We don't need a MEGA Shop like other dealers in town have to work on late model machines.

      I hear it now that you mentioned it. Reviewing the video seem like the sound happened at idle speed when bucket was off the ground. Could be something in the linkage with the bucket, quick attach. I just got two of these 1526 in today an not hearing on them. I'm thinking Cold Metal and Idle speed with the loader and diesel engine backlash at low speed created that sound. Doesn't happen at higher RPM when diesels smooth out.

      Each Model has its benefits but the larger the size the larger the loader and lifting capacity of the loaders, larger & wider tires for smoother ride in rough ground, and many others things as we discuss in this video. Most all the basics of the tractors are similar to todays models with some minor changes to product. Hope it helps learn about the three different 25HP models Massey Ferguson offers.

The 1526 is unique tractor that offers a step up from a Sub-Compact but Smaller than Full Sized Tractor to get into areas and do tasks the other frame styles can not do. It also features advanced features like Auto-Throttle, Optional Mid-PTO, 3 Range Hydro and NO Added Emission Requirements. It has retained the original look of the 1500 Series but offers an additional choice for 25 HP Buyers with Features not commonly found on those size of tractors in a unique chassis size and to retain the price point with out added additional costs to restyle.
