I worked in a tire factory in the early 70’s, I wrapped and cut the rubber used for each tire formula we made. I had one of the easier jobs, the ovens we right behind my station and the rubber rolls were made in a lower level. Sometimes I had no material to use so I got to cruise the factory checking out other departments and workers. Was a fun job.
