Powerful & Calming: A Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga Fusion Class - Five Parks Yoga

- This vinyasa-yin yoga class is a transformative yoga experience. This unique class blends the invigorating flow of Vinyasa with the deep, meditative stretches of Yin Yoga, aiming to boost your strength, flexibility, and overall sense of calm and wellness.
Highlights include energizing and dynamic sequences that build heat and enhance strength. You will build strength in familiar sequencing including warriors, side angle and variations, planks and chaturangas. You will balance on one leg and build core strength in preparation for resting and releasing for the yin portion of class.
During the second half of class, you will have the opportunity to slow down with long-held postures (between three and five minutes) that target deep connective tissues and promote relaxation and flexibility. Postures include side bends, twists and forward folds, reclined twists, compressions and inner thigh stretches.
You will have consistent reminders to focus on mindful breathing to center your mind and enhance your practice. As always, class will conclude with a guided and silent Savasana to integrate the many benefits of this incredible practice.

This is one of my favorite online yoga videos ever. And I do about one a day for several years now. Also I never leave a comment.
Hi Erin, just a random detail I noticed doing this class: It was the first time that I heard a yoga teacher cueing for warrior 1 to step the front foot BEHIND the wrist instead of inside the hands. It felt really great. Thank you! I will continue to transitiin into my warrior like that from now on!❤

I really enjoyed this flow! We missed a few poses on the left side but it was still a great class. Thanks for all you do!
That was awesome with one caveat...on the left side vinyasa last time through you missed the standing splits etc you threw in on the other side. I paused and evened it out ❤ And I was feeling the yin today so I added pigeon on both sides before ending. Feel amazing 😊

Lovely practice.
Love it. And please consider making minimal cues class for experienced practitioners. I guess you have people follow you for years so they don’t need much guidance on the variations and alignment.

A nice surprise at the end of my day so I did it straight away after a walk. Oops, you did forget to do the standing staff, pigeon and standing splits poses on the left side so I paused to do them as I would have felt unbalanced not :) Love your classes!
Yes, I had to pause to balance out the forgotten poses as well🙃.

Did we do the standing pigeon / split stance on the left side??? Kind of felt like we only performed those postures on the right. Could be wrong thou.
