Lower Back & Hip Stretch & Strengthen Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga

- This yoga class starts in my favorite low back and hip stretching posture - Extended Childs Pose. As the class begins, I guide you into Ujjayi Pranayama. You will continue to warm up with cat/cow, down dog and more. After moving toward the front of your yoga mat, you will release your spine in rag doll and then release your low back and hips in Malasana (deep squat). Lizard pose and half pigeon are preparatory for cradle the baby and deep stretches toward the end of class. This class has saved my back and hip! I was in so much pain. Couldn't get an appointment at the chiropractor. I had to stop my workouts and couldn't sit or stand for long periods. I did this class two days straight and by the third day, the pain was nearly gone. I love your teaching style. Love your channel, but I was expecting this class to be more of a balance of stretching and strengthening but felt like mostly stretching. Looking forward to more videos!

That was arguably the best hip and lower back stretch I have ever done. I appreciate what the pace being slow and deliberate to ensure gentle, yet thorough stretch without risk of overdoing it. Excellent!!
Hello Erin, I've been having a tiny bit of ITB pain in the past 2 weeks and stretching more to heal it. I have not done yoga or stretch for more than 20 mins in a long time. I have tried different yoga videos on UA-cam before and Five Parks Yoga videos are the only one which make me come back again and again. I love Erin's soothing voice, that the video is filmed outdoors with birds chirping and other sounds of nature as well as the relaxing guitar music during savasana. Thank you Erin!

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this class, especially when I have strained my spine in some way. Honestly fixes it right up every time! It is one of those classes I wish would never end! Would love a new class an hour long with this kind of focus, maybe adding in some components of flow as well as hold :) 1000 thank yous for this one, honestly it has saved me so many times from an achy day!

This was the first longer class that I did after pulling my left lower back out over a week ago. It is still tender but felt wonderful to stretch out slowly. Thank you again, this is definitely one of my go-to classes for my lower back and hips.
