If you have to replace the idler arm in your vehicle, odds are, you’ll need to replace the bracket too. Best to get them both done at the same time! This video shows you how to install a new idler arm bracket in your 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe.

Is there a torque spec. on the nut joining the idler mount to the arm ?
That thing was on there, just did mine on a 274k original parts, hit it with just the are hammer and popes right off
What about grease fittings?
Do you need to take vehicle for an alignment after changing the parts?
Took me weeks to find the tool everyone is asking, J-43631 kent moore, cheaper version is the OTC 6655

What is the name of the tool you used first that didn't work?
Any torque spec on the nut that goes from the idler arm to the bracket???? I'm assuming the same torque as the castle nut ???
GREASE it, otherwise you'll be doing this again sooner rather than later.

my bolt from my idler arm mount just spins and doesn’t allow me to tighten it down all the way, any idea what’s going on both brand new parts from trq
Why did you skip the torque on the idler arm to bracket torque?!
Is there a torque spec. on the nut joining the idler mount to the arm ?
