Great video, thanks. Just followed your vid to do my install. I noticed the top cover doesn't exactly completely seal - I can still see the edge of the red filter between the top and bottom cover. Did your top cover close and seal completely? Looks like some dust may be able to get into the box? Thx

I have a 2021 TRD 4runner ORP but can't seem to find the TRD part # of CAI. I see 2010 - 11 based on the part # you provided. So I'm assuming this CAI works for the newer 4runners since you have a 2022 4runner.?

You showed your mpg a couple times POST intake install but I didn’t see a comparison to the mpg of the stock airbox. To me that’s what matters… did it give you any increased mpg?… if yes what was it? Thanks
Yes! Mpg increased 1.6 to 2.8 mpg today we were at 19.3 mpg just driving around.
When I contacted Toyota, they told me the PTR03 89100 is not compatible with any 4Runner past 2012. It didn’t make sense to me because the engine hasn’t changed. They claimed certain emissions updates made this CAI incompatible…I still don’t agree with their statements. Any thoughts?
No issues with CAI on our 2022. Your correct, same motors. It is just increased air flow with a fuel economy increase. There are no issues, so many 4Runner channels have installed the TRD CAI. Like you, we agonized over the CAI, crossed our Ts and dotted our Is and its amazing. Best, ODTRP
I ran into the same thing after calling my dealership. Yota Expedition has the same part number fitting all the way to 2023, which makse sense.
BAM is the best! That's where I got mine as well, and they took great care of me. I have a 2023 with no compatibility issues.
@@4kikasrt I ended up going with BAM. Not a single issue. It’s been installed over a month now and was a breeze to install. (After watching a couple install videos.)

I have this and the pipe absolutely doesn't fit to both ends. I don't how the hell Toyota deigned this but it's terrible
Hello KR 2008 we twisted ours forward no issues. Correct a tight fit. Possibly try a heat gun on each end to soften up grommets.
