I know it works because when stock, if you hit the gas hard, it takes a long time to get to third gear. With this intake or most higher flow intakes, it gets there much faster. Just got one today. Nice review.
What is the purpose of the plug? You skipped the install of the box into the side wall. The image online makes the intake port look square. The hole is round. Is that correct?
The intake box install is very easy just align them with the threaded insulated mount, then the intake hole will will be pressed against the inlet on the wall, the afe hole is is a rounded corner square, the plug is to cover the dynamic air scoop hole only available for other vehicle.
I wanted to purchase the S&B intake but they said it won’t work on the sport. I work for Toyota and maybe they know something I Dont 🤷🏻♂️. so I’m going to try VOLANT . Have it on a Tacoma and it’s great.
They’re all the same it should work on all models

With mine im not planning on installing, but if i install one i will remove the side skirts and i will install some aftermarket ones. But just in case i install a set i will definitely make a video.
Just installed one this morning. But pretty sure they sent me the wrong filter in the box. Filter seems too small.
Just hit aFe up they are very helpful.
The packaging was labeled correctly but I found the part number on the filter itself. It is the wrong one. Just glad I figured it out. Thanks for the video !
