When it comes to guns in Chicago, it is illegal for someone FROM Chicago to travel into another state and buy a gun. If those guns are truly coming from other states, they are totally illegal guns. I can't say it ISN'T happening but it is already illegal and if we addressed that issue, which is already illegal, we might get somewhere. Simply making something MORE illegal, when we are doing little to curtail the already illegal activity, won't change much.

Great video Alex. The frustrating thing for us conservatives is how often we observe liberals who have never heard the main perspectives of the Right. To be considered a "thinker", one must listen to all sides before making any conclusion of one's stance. Then afterwards, one can use logic and hopefully a well explained reasoning of personal viewpoints. As an educator working with a high % of liberal educators, it blows my mind how little these educators know. I once had a conversation with a poly-sci instructor who had no clue on the difference of a Republican and a Conservative! Your video is a breathe of fresh air because your willingness to listen. Conservatives despite official definitions means to "preserve" classical Liberal values. Atleast, that is what some people who use the tag mean when they say they are conservatives.
In my experience Conservatives are almost like Classical Liberals except they are more fiscally responsible and also have a bit more focus on traditional values that stem from Judeo-Christian world views. In recent times I think people are realizing how valuable the Christian roots of the US are. Dennis Prager put it perfect, a flower can look great for awhile after detaching it from its roots but eventually it will wither away and crumble... our country is that flower when it has deviated from its Christian based roots.

@@VulcanP90 Dude, I don't believe in God either, but calling people stupid for believing in something isn't cool. I consider myself conservative, or maybe a classic liberal if the definition in this video is anything to go by, but I do find fault in the Republican partys stance on Judeo-Christian values. Being anti-gay and anti-abortion is not a step forward, and are a few of the things I hate about the party. But it's not cool to harp on someone for believing in something if it brings them happiness. Instead they need to be shown that disagreeing with something is ok and it can still be allowed without them being part of it.
I definitely am fiscally conservative and agree with conservative views on foreign policy and immigration, but when it comes to social issues like LGBT rights and abortion, I tend to agree with the liberal views on them. Religious people shouldn't use their own ideals to oppress others, but we also shouldn't put them down for their beliefs either. It's a double edged sword that borders on oppression of both sides if you choose one side over the other. I just don't think the government should be able to tell people what they can and can't do when it comes to their bodies or their lives. And honestly big government is meant to be a no no to conservatives so you'd think more would think like me.

Anyone who doesn't realize this, has no awareness about the society we presently live in. Of course, it didn't use to be like this. On the left, the mantra was "live and let live." Now it's "agree with us or else." The left is now astonishingly close to what they use to accuse the right of. The right has its issues. I don't personally agree with many of their philosophies, but you just don't see all of the insane individuals like those who have allowed themselves to be seduced by the radicalism that has hijacked the left. Yes, Indianapolis and a few of the larger Democrat majority cities have shootings, but no where near the numbers as Chicago.
Indiana follows the same federal regulations as every other state with guns.
Difference is, law abiding citizens in Chicago aren't allowed to protect themselves so the criminals aren't scared. Gang violence is rampant because they are the only ones with guns. Same reason mass shootings generally only happen in "gun free zones". No opposition to the criminal.

Chicago has some of the strongest gun control laws, yet those laws don't seem to help at all. A solution of "everyone needs to be like us in order for our system to work" isn't viable unless you view the world through a lens of totalitarianism. The title is based on something D'Souza has said in the past, that Democrats are racist. He says that the proof is that Democrats enable the principles of slavery as defined by the expert he quotes.
But if that's true it must also be true that any republican led district that also meets that criteria MEANS that republicans are racist. That's his original statement that he is defending here. So a rural place in Kentucky, ruled by republicans, that is poor, with substandard housing, that has been generationally poor, means that they are modern slaves? Then Republicans are racist to poor white people?
No, democrats don't accuse Republicans of this, and it's simply not true to begin with. The causes that lead to poor people and generational poverty are much more complicated than an inner city district, or a backwoods farming community. It's national, macro economics.

It doesn’t matter what race you are, if you are in those cities, you are suffering just as much as the next man. Poverty doesn’t cause all these issues and problems, it’s a result of them. It’s laid out pretty clearly in the five points how, if you follow the progression, will ultimately lead to impoverished citizens. And that’s how they want it. The rural areas don’t have the exact same problems, just because they are poor doesn’t make them equatable. They aren’t poor for the same reasons. That's the reason education funding is tied to surrounding property taxes. To keep people where they are. That's one of many aspects of CRT and understanding how some of these laws still affect POC. Whenever democrats are trying to offer reparations or public assistance to these communities, Republicans spin it as trying to keep them subjugated like we don't want them to succeed on their own. It's bullshit. After hundreds of years of slavery and decades more of segregation you can't just sign the civil rights bill and be like "ok we're all equal now if you're poor it's your fault". If that were the case, then why isn’t there rampant gun crime in Indiana, but there is in Chicago. Furthermore, when you legally purchase a firearm and fill out a NICS background check, you have to provide a photo ID and your current address. It’s illegal for a neighboring state to sell you a firearm that is illegal for you to own in your home state. It’s also illegal for them to sell accessories that are illegal in your home state. That said, the ATF tracks serial numbers (when I worked at Walmart I was in charge of matching serial numbers on the guns with the documentation and packaging when they first came in and the sporting good lead added them to the national database), so it would be pretty easy to prove one way or the other where they’re coming from. People in America are usually stupid when it comes to labels so already that one republican in here calling you a groomer doesn't realize that the rest of the world knows that liberals are pretty right leaning on a sane political scale. But thanks for finally stating your true stance. Personally I think political videos should've been what got their own channel but alas, politics are just entertainment in the US anyways.

Dinesh has some amazing videos out there. He is an immigrant from India with a unique perception on America. He loves America more than most Americans. I've always been a classic liberal as well...until the Democrat party abandoned me with far leftists ideology. Love listening to Dinesh, Candace, Sowell, Elder, Shapiro, Peterson, etc.

Sadly the classic liberal is now considered right wing extremist by the far left.

I would be curious to hear what you term "leftist ideology." In my experience, Americans know jack shit about politics and understand even less about their two parties. The people you mention are all absolute dickheads who've done a great job at brainwashing Americans.

I grew up a conservative. A fundamentalist Christian conservative. Dinesh is one of the most disingenuous spinsters I’ve ever seen. There are plenty of legit conservative arguments that can be made without resorting to the kind of BS that Dinesh, Candace, and even sometimes Shapiro puts out. If you’re not already in the tank for them, their hypocrisy is glaring.

@@kevinehle6637 Actually, they don’t. If you know the truth and the actual facts. I’ve never seen them make an argument without selectively cherry picking facts. Ever. It’s kind of a hallmark of conservative politics. I used it to my advantage as a young republican growing up, and have to admit to being embarrassed by it now…both for my participation in it in my youth, as well as for the people who continue the practice today. It relies on the ignorance and bias of the listener…telling you what you want to hear, counting on you not to dig deeper.
In my experience, people who put much faith in what these pundits have to say, these pundits who are selling a product…themselves…aren’t really very informed or intellectually rigorous people, and will generally fall for whatever the last thing is they heard. And I don’t waste my time arguing with them anymore. If you’re really as smart as you think you are, you don’t need people like this telling you how to think. The truth is never in the extremes.

Just subscribed after seeing this. I am a classic liberal, who has voted Republican or Libertarian since the early 90s. The reason is because my former party has moved to the extreme left, extreme progressivism, social Marxism and no has room for a JFK type liberal, and redefined modern liberalism to be too extreme to represent average Americans.
