JBP’s drug problem in a nutshell: he was doing a massive world lecture tour, his wife received a cancer diagnosis that wasn’t hopeful, and he was having issues with anxiety and insomnia. His doctor prescribed benzos, and those drugs had a paradoxical effect where they made his issues even worse, and he couldn’t quit taking them because benzos are highly addictive and cause severe withdrawal symptoms. He had to go into a medical detox where he had to be put into a coma and nearly died, but he was able to recover. Also, his wife is fine now, her cancer went into remission.

Its preposterous that people attack JP for his drug problem. He went through a hell that most people cannot comprehend to get rid of it and they act like he chose those side effects in the first place.
Its heartbreaking watching the few videos he put out during his recovery to explain what he went through. Its so good to have him back in form.

This is the kind of stuff that we like Dr. JP for. I FOUND him from his political stuff but it's these talks about morality, meaning, and purpose that are what made me a fan of him.

Idk why but i always tear up when he says “yeah, well as useless as I am at least I can move that from there to there.” So powerful. Also found it interesting that your job wanted to cut you out of your Christmas bonus and Peterson ends up talking about the Simpsons where the same situation happens.
This is probably where the rule of making your bed at the beginning of the day comes from. No matter how useless you feel at the end of that day, you still accomplished something right at the start.

Hi there, 21 year old boy here. You have no idea how useful Jordan Peterson speeches' are to me. I've always been a "knowledge chasing person" and whenever this guy opens his mouth I realize that after all this 21 years living and learning about life I still know nothing about it and that there's always a room for improving in it. I'm very proud of the person I am today and I can't wait to see how I'll be in 5 or 10 years or even more. I have a lot of thoughts about this that I want to talk about but I'm still improving my English so this is as good as I can express myself right now. Anyway I hope that all of you have a nice day, take a rest from thinking in all the bad things that might be happening to you and take a second to see all the small good things that are also happening wich we aren't aware of because we only focus on the bad ones. Life is beautiful, make sure to enjoy every second of it.

Pedro, are you Brazilian? It seems like this, meu xará. My name is also Pedro, and I'm going to turn 21 soon. I have also been deeply influenced by Jordan lectures since I was 17. Since then I've been trying to take more responsability for my life, aways tell the truth, and learn how to be more articulated. It's not easy at all, but I think that this path that requires more sacrifice and is accompanied with delayed gratification gonna be important for my future self and my family. Around me, I don't know someone that even knows Jordan, so it's nice seeing someone that I could relate in this sense. I wish you the best man, let's get it. 💪🏻

Jordan speaks like the father so many men never had and long for. The tragedy is that they accept, are helpless to change, their aimlessness. Jordan tells them to choose a target, aim, and shoot. AND tells them they can do it-like the best dad.

There is actually a group of veterans helping other veterans coping with PTSD or service separation anxieties using this same thought. Their approach is to re focus the veterans thought process into finding ways to continue to serve. Help the community through responsible actions and that gives them new focus on life instead of being forced to using all that time on lamenting so much on what was. It was a great interview I caught on the radio.

I was a factory worker for 14 years straight, providing for my family. I was miserable cause in my school days I was considered one of the brightest students, but my work ethic was complete shit.
After coming across Dr. Peterson (me being diagnosed with PTSD and depression at the time) I decided to go study coding. Fast forward 3 years I'm in my last year of study, have a job as a front-end developer and while it seems normal now when I step back and look at it I can't escape the feeling I would consider my own story a fairytale if someone told me that 5 years ago.
No matter how bad it gets there's a way out. Just as Peterson says - do something instead of nothing, especially if you don't know what you wanna do. Focus on 1 thing and go at it.
This man is a blessing on this earth.
Especially in these times.
He is a light in a sea of darkness but he is relentless... in his mild mannered and composed way.
he is everything everyone should be, empathetic, kind and good but also with a backbone of hardened steel.

I finished reading his 12 Rules for life antidote to chaos and just started his 12 more rules for life beyond order and he talks about his mental illness, wife getting cancer, being put on benzos by his doctor and what he went through before getting into the book.
Love learning from him, in a mental health therapist myself and find JP and his wisdom and articulation invaluable.
I bought that book.
It would be good to read them all.
Been tempted to buy his books for a while. I was not aware of his personal struggles which makes getting his book even more tempting. Thank you for writting that down.

I love the fact that he is not constrained by Secular Formalities.
I used to be non motivated and had a dead end job going no where. Once my future wife had got pregnant and my son was born, I became motivated and took on the responsibility of providing for my wife and son which empowered me to find a better job that made more money for my family. But now that I've been making money and have provided stability I haven't taken on any more responsibility and that's why I haven't progressed further in life. It's a crazy realization on what JP is saying.
Jordan Peterson's speeches and lectures helped me realize that I didn't have to stay in the abyss for the rest of my life 🤙

I tend to be agreeable, but assertiveness training has helped immensely.
These videos are why my Wife and I subscribed, and watch every video. My wife and I just got to see Jordan speak on his new book tour, and meet him briefly, on the 7th for our 10th anniversary. We also got to stay for a very close and intimate VIP talk, with him setting in the center of the isle along the front row with only about 50 or so of us closely surrounding him. He speaks like a grandfather to our generation. He is just as brilliant, sharp, and respectful in person. He is definitely one of the most intelligent, deepest, influential, and insightful minds of our time. This man has helped to change my life for the better. Love seeing his talks on your channel bro. Keep the enlightening and entertaining content coming.🤘
JP's lectures about this stuff saved my life. I became an angry and resentful person and these kinds of lectures saved me from ruining everything. I now seek out responsibility for my life, granted being a husband and father ingrains it directly.
As a single and childless man I was headed down the same road and came to the same conclusion, thanks to the same man.
I have to say, actively seeking out responsibilities has done me wonders, I'm not going to say it's completely changed my life, but it has completely changed how I view myself and how I feel about my life, for a long time there, it would have been easy to drift away from everything and everyone in my life.
If I had more teachers like him I think I would’ve graduated high school. Out of 12 years of education I had one teacher that actually used communication over text books as a teaching method. He just spoke to us very well & it captivated the whole classroom. Really got me thinking. Every other teacher I can remember bored me to death

Oh yeah! Great guy! /s He flat out says women are, and were never, oppressed, and white privilege doesn't exist. It's all an "illusion", says the MIDDLE AGED WHITE GUY. Except that both have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. The keyword being reasonable. He's a blowhard that most Canadians despise. He's no better than any other charismatic cult leader in the making, charming the sea of people looking for a way to not feel so bad. He doesn't "make sense". This is just the narrative people want to listen to because putting in the real work to make real change is too hard.
He's pushing Christian conservatism as a psychological cure all for the problems people are facing. He cries all the time but demands men be stronger and tougher emotionally. His fans border on cult members and he uses this to make more money and gain more power. The guy watching this video with pure child like adoration is the perfect example of this power Jordan has.
@@pavlovsdogman I don't think he's saying that all of your problems will magically be solved by his ideas. But he's saying that things will be better if you follow his ideas, most of which are common sense. However, a lot of men grew up without father figures. So this stuff isn't being taught, as Alex said.
Also, he cries because he has been through a lot of traumatic events in his life. His wife got cancer, he had drug problems, he's been through a lot. Who wouldn't be crying after that? There's no shame in crying, but there is in giving up.
@@pavlovsdogman Partially true but conservative oriented people/families are more stable overall and that's not just conjecture. All the studies done on drug addiction, teen pregnancy, mental health, academics, etc show that people with conscientious mindsets and more conservative upbringings do better across the board and produce more stable productive adults. Conservatism tends to be more community and externally driven, whereas the liberal side of the equation has slowly degenerated into a cult of self importance (hence the emphasis on pronouns and demanding others participate in one's delusions).
Most of the world is conservative oriented and has been since the beginning of time, almost entirely out of evolutionary/cultural necessity. What's been happening since the 1960s is a deviation from the norm in just about all ways and its been failing at an accelerated rate because it's not bound in anything concrete.
I consider myself more of a libertarian so I don't exactly side the conservatives on everything but I'm not going to try to argue with the data.

I’m a male pursuing a degree in psych. Not until I found JP, when I discovered I have a “feminine” quality, which is quite true seeing that I was raised by my mother since I was eight. It’s really fascinating that there are so many men out there whom strive to be their best selves, at the peak of their masculinity. The only one holding you back is the man that left years ago. Be the man you strive to become, and pursue it wholeheartedly.

This reminds me of a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, “Happiness is a by-product of a life well lived.” Jordan reinforces that thought. You should never strive to be happy. Happiness is not an achievable goal. It’s merely something that happens when we successfully fulfill our responsibilities. Be your best self and happiness is sure to follow.

My husband found a tremendous help from JP's lectures when he had anxiety issues. And when Peterson came to Finland a few years ago and we went to listen to him I expected it to be boring for me, but it certainly wasn't. 😊 He is a great speaker. 👍
Men and boys need a good male presence in their lives. Preferably their fathers, but life doesn't always work out that way. The best thing we can give our children is a stable household, with mom and dad being married. But if that's not possible, a grandfather or uncle like you said...they are crucial for young men!
Exactly! And it doesn't even have to be a male who is from the same family, as long as children have both a positive male and a positive female role model present.

JP has lifted me out of dark places on more than one occasion. I'll be forever grateful for the burdens he chooses to bare.
It's not just his wisdom that is inspirational, its his character. He reminds a person that there are decent people out there.
You dont have to agree with everything he says, but anyone suggesting he has anything but the best intentions has an agenda, or simply hasnt listened to him properly.
What he went through with his health, his wifes health and his daughters health, while in the public eye with many trying to bring him down is mind blowing. Both in the heartlessness of his detractors and the unfathomable strength he showed. Yes, he fell, and was far from his best, but the resilience and conviction he demonstrated is both amazing and inspiring.
He's a good man.
I loved this post. I came across JP a little over two years ago, around the time he had his crash and had to take some time off. I watched a lot of his stuff and connected with much of what he was saying. He is brilliant, articulate and honest (in the noble sense). He’s not perfect, none of us are, but he really is aware of his responsibility to try and lead people forward…..not for his benefit, but for theirs. He has taken vicious personal and professional attacks because, like you said, people are very polarized on these types of issues. My advice for you young man…..keep watching him and glean every bit of truth and wisdom you can. Follow his journey through his own doubts and fears and be prepared to widen your horizons as well.
None of us, are as smart as we think we are……..but none of us are as stupid as we are told we are either.

Just about every single time I hear something from JP I hear something profound. He's a fucking hero!!!
Sometimes people need someone like Dr. Peterson to articulate truths that we already know but never knew how to say....... He is an absolute gift.
I'm a mother of 3 adult boys who are close in age. 10 years ago, my husband died after battling cancer for a couple of years. He was a good man, and I was devastated by his loss. But I was even more devastated by what it could mean for my sons. I just didn't know how I would pilot them to full adulthood without my husband. They were all coming out of their teens - ages just 18, 19 and 21. I was almost out of my mind with grief, and it was difficult to be there for my sons. We were all affected by the giant hole left by the loss of their father. Things started to get crazy, and it was clear I wasn't going to be able to give them the guidance they need. Thank God they discovered Jordan Peterson! (Thanks Joe Rogan!) I cannot tell you how listening to this man has helped my family! And me personally. God Bless Jordan Peterson! My son's are now doing well, they learned to accept responsibility, are all in good relationships, and my oldest is raising a family.

JP is a voice of a generation, his wisdom is the antidote to a lot of the crumbling of western culture.
I decided to do real estate last month. Quit my corporate job, bought a schooling program, crammed through the studying and past the test first try!
It’s amazing how much “belonging” and personal responsibility can do for you as a man
Since you were wondering, he was having some crippling stress or nerve issues and a doctor started him on a nerve pill. Before he knew it he was addicted and checked himself into rehabilitation. If you didnt know, coming off of nerve pills "cold turkey" can kill you. I've dealt with addiction personally and with family/friends and it's tough. It can literally happen to anyone.
It's also worth noting that at the time he received news that his wife had some sort of serious cancer. I think it was sodium benzoates that he was taking which can be highly addictive if I remember right.
We’ll, and to put it even further into context, his wife had been diagnosed with terminal cancer soon after he’d been rocketed onto the public stage as a father figure for all the dispossessed and confused young men out there. And he ended up with intense anxiety and stress due to it.
It takes a tremendous amount of maturity to realize you have a problem and then actually go get help.
As Westly said in the Princess Bride, "Life is pain." Anyone who says differently is selling something." We live in an era of victim hood, where some feel they are "owned" something. And they won't move on until they are recognized and compensated. What a crock. People since the beginning of time suffered setbacks, trials, and being hurt by others, yet they still keep going, and we have inherited all their blood sweat, and tears with comforts of civilization, peace, knowledge, and technology and some still whine about life being "unfair" or getting their feelings hurt, or most of all, they have to WORK to get something worthwhile. So instead of universities and colleges challenging their students to greatness, they teach them how persecuted they are, and provided safe spaces, coloring books, and stuffed animals to deal with being triggered by reality.
Man oh man, I’d love to have JP as a professor. Anyone who’s been a student of his for a semester/quarter are so fortunate.

I am a young woman who absolutely loves JP. I only recently found him but already I could feel something in me awakening. He is a breath of rejuvenating fresh air we all needed.
What he says is basically what my dad used to tell me when I was a teenager, he plays the father figure for a lot of males who never had any.

I have not seen every video by or about Dr. Peterson! Of those that I have seen, I have not seen a "bad" one. I am impressed with this man's intellect and wisdom.

I never in my life thought I would watch hours long videos of people talking. I literally fell sleepy after like 30 mins of a lectures in my college, but now I watch hours of Joe Rogan and Jordan peterson and others when I have time.
He is definitely responding to one of his students questions. Constantly looking towards the same part of the classroom. The person who asked him a question certainly had their mind blown

Alex go and watch some of his 2 or 3 hour lectures...Do this on your own time. Dont do a reaction to them while watching. Do this for yourself not us. You will be amazed at what you learn if you pay attention to this man. To say it has been life changing to some of us is an understatement. To get the most from Dr. Peterson you HAVE to listen to some of these lectures on your own time. Dont rob yourself of this please. Take the time. I know you will throughly enjoy his long form talks. They are amazing!!

I'm from the UK and not involved in any US or Canadian politics so can give some outside perspective. I came across Dr Peterson like many others because I feel lost and don't know where I belong
The reason I can watch JP is that you can see him think his way through an issue, he isnt saying "this is the answer" he's saying "these are the questions, let's find the answers, together"
I like seeing this content show up on not just your channel, but many other content creators as well. Just because we don't agree 100% of the time with each other's viewpoints, doesn't mean we can't have a civilized discussion every now and then about things of importance. Education of any kind just helps us become aware and understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

Dr. JBP… the father I never had. Same as you I grew up with my mom and sister, love them to death but lacked that parental figure, was lost in my ways… JBP gave me something I always had but never knew I had, he connected everything I believed in and made it make sense; showed me how it has been illustrated for centuries and how it led to a meaningful life… forever grateful to this man

I learned responsibility from my grandmother, my mother and father, and my older brother and sister. I did my best to instill those qualities in my daughters and grandsons.
15:28 I personally think the hell he went through due to an addiction to benzos makes his words ring even more true, now he's not just saying it, he's lived it. It's also just heartless that people rip him apart saying he needed to just "bear his suffering". His wife had cancer, and if people knew their story they'd understand how terrified that must have made him. Give the man a break, he's only human.
Add to that the fact that he recognized that the benzos weren’t just helping smooth out his nerves and anxiety but that he was physically addicted to them and his response was “I’m getting off these even if it kills me” and I’d say it speaks to his commitment to what he preaches. There’s a difference between mere physical addiction and psychological addiction.
It wasn't even just his wife's health. The same time was when he was at his peak in terms of popularity and the mob was likewise at its peak in terms of trying to destroy him. I don't care who you are, if you have THAT level of vitriol directed at you for a prolonged period it's gonna take a toll on your mental health. It's gotta be especially hard for JP who is a rather sensitive guy who mostly just tries to help people.
I can't grasp how anyone can hate this guy. A man that today can't go anywhere privately with his wife. Without meeting men, that thank him for helping them save their life. Which makes him, not arrogant but humble and emotional.
How can people hate this guy? I don't get it. He always fights fair in a debate....and most always wins. He doesn't cut people off and lets them have their turn to be heard. You never really see much of this courtesy now-a-days. Solid human.....wish there were more people like him around.

@@guslulou8428 very simple. I agree that compelled speech is wrong. But I don't agree with his idea that "they" as singular doesn't have a precedent. It's a narrow one, but it is there. I'm a writer and Communications major, but you can look it up for yourself. He also seems to believe that there is NO pay gap. I'm currently researching it, and so far, there is a gap, but now I'm searching for the exact places and instances it exists. It would better help everyone to know the exact numbers breakdown of this. And if I prove the gap false, even better. I'm keeping an open mind about it, but early data indicates it exists.
We really need these types of messages. Thanks so much for the video. The world is getting more divided, more toxic, more polarized, not just in America but in all countries like mine who import their Political issues from America. Peterson is an antidote and channels like this who dare to spread his knowledge are doing the good work.
11 yrs ago I decided I wouldn't be a junkie anymore and instead of wallowing in weakness I would endeavor to make myself stronger in mind and in body on a daily basis. I now raise animals and have real meaning in my life. I stopped a 17 yr heroin addiction by taking responsibility for my own life and outcomes. It's so true

Man when I lost my job right before the pandemic I was done. I didn't care about anything because I felt like I failed the family. You have to pick yourself up and find purpose or you will continue spiraling down.
He was right about the lack of motivation. When you look back through history (history of motivation at that), you’ll see that everything he says was in fact not a weak argument.
Btw, I love your journey thus far. Keep on with the JBP. He may not be 110% on every single thing he discusses but when it comes to psychology? Untouchable.

This came up at my last work when I found out that I was paid more than a supervisor with a lot more experience.
I didn’t agree to the employers first offer and we shook hands and parted ways.
A week later he called back and met my price.
The point is that if you don’t stick up for you no one will.
I am an agreeable person, basically for the reasons mentioned by you, Alex. I was raised by a single mother and 2 older sisters. As I reached my early 20s I had tremendous set back due to my personality traits, I am lucky enough to have had many different experiences since my early teens and to be able to observe my own flaws and hold responsibility for my mistakes, which thank God my mother was able to push into my brain. So, during this time of my early 20's, I made the decision that whenever I wanted something I would fight viciously for it. It takes time to develop theese changes because you're fighting against your instincts most of the time. It makes you doubtful, unsure and unease but it is well worth it. I have been haply married with two kids for 15 years now because of theese decisions. If I could advise someone from my experience is that; figure out what you want, be ready to compromise, make a plan, fight for it and be realistic with yourself when you see its achivebleness.

I began watching this channel years ago, as most of us here, for the music and reactions. Now, here I am watching philosophical lectures and political commentary. I did not know I'd find these new covered topics so interesting. Thanks for the exposure!
Jordan Peterson is essentially that father figure/mentor that many of us have been wanting to hear from in a world that has effectively rejected what it is to be a man and deemed those qualities problematic while encouraging men to be more feminine and women to be more like men. Because rather than accepting and appreciating the differences between us we have to become one gigantic mass of gray where the individual is indistinguishable from the other. That also applies to virtually every other category that identity politics divides us in to.
I think what he was ultimately getting at without actually saying it is that we crave the responsibility of the family. Another characteristic that our society has seemed to have lost with women focusing on careers and people in general "not wanting kids." Passing on our genes to the next generation is something that's been hardwired into life since life began and here we are thinking we're beyond that because we have shiny new toys and somehow multiplying is killing the planet. We're social creatures and even the most introverted of us deep inside longs for at least a handful of people they can connect with.
JP’s drugs issue was that he became physically dependent upon doctor-prescribed Xanax whilst enduring the simultaneous stresses of a book tour (more stressful than it sounds) and the health issues that he and his daughter Mikhaila have since successfully ameliorated with an all-carnivorous diet. His doctors never told him how physically addictive benzodiazepines could be (some are more affected than others; I take Klonopin, another benzo to prevent spasms caused by a neuromuscular defect. Quitting isn’t ‘easy’ for me, but it doesn’t take me totally out for a year o r whatever.)
The stress of his wife almost dying as well. He was caught in a catastrophic whirlwind of emotional and physical stress.
Yeah, I remember going to a therapist specifically to get some ideas on treating my social anxiety and all she wanted to do was get me on benzodiazepines. When I told her I did not want to start with prescription meds, she stopped calling for my over the phone sessions. It was kind of a shocker. It kind of explains why so many people are on these medications to begin with. Their therapists get them prescribed and the therapist acts like all of their problems are solved. All I did was go in and tell her that I thought I had some social anxiety and she didn’t even want to talk to me about why I thought that, she just asked if she could get me started on benzos. That alone was super stressful, especially when everyone I talked to freaked out when they found out. That’s apparently a really bad place to start when someone has issues.

Exactly as Alex said, everything Jordan Peterson talks about hits home so much. I'm one of those who love his lectures. He always says exactly what I need to hear. Maybe I even have the same reason to like him as Alex, having grown up in a female household.
I even think Jordan Peterson's lectures/dialogs etc. have improved my English a lot. At least what I understand because he uses a lot of terms I would never say in everyday life 🙂.
This one really made me think. I went through a severe bout of depression years ago when I was at school and later when I was unemployed. I didn't know what I wanted to do. I didn't know who I wanted to be and I was having a war inside my head each and every day. Suicide even became an option for me and I tried it, I self harmed everyday because I felt like without contributing something I wasn't worth the effort to be kept alive. I hated myself and some times I still do. I don't take holidays, I don't say no to overtime. I push myself to breaking point and further. I feel its what I have to do. I'm disagreeable at home, but agreeable at work, but as a supervisor I feel I'm wearing a mask, I'm playing a role in a sense.
Hey man, chill out! From what little you have written about yourself, you are your worst critic. While there is value in knowing your weaknesses, there is also value in knowing your strengths. Just for me, play the role of "supervisor" at home for a few weeks and on a few days holiday, I'm sure those around you would appreciate just a few days respite from "disagreeable" you even if you tell them that you are just "playing a role".
While I am a women who likes to keep the peace i often find my agreeableness to tip towards the male side. More so when I'm outside of work. My mom often calls me the man of the house.
2 years ago I decided to enlist in the Army so that i could change my career. 100 pounds lost later and I'll be going to boot in July. 😀

I just took it for the hell of it and i tend to over think the questions cause im an introvert and thats just how we roll, but alot of the questions were to vague or required some context like one question being "are you pushy to get things done" or something like that and for me im thinking well whats the situation ? is it a type of thing that needs to be done like a work project then yea obviously i need $ to live or is it like putting laundry away where you can put that aside for a day and its no big deal. So with most questions being vague like that i couldn't give honest answers so for me that test is invalid

Protect Jordan Peterson at all costs
I'm a contrarian at heart. It's very hard socially because, even though i do like caring for people and dislike conflict, I literally get uncomfortable with anything thats is perceived as an established thing. Like rules, or "common sense", or presupositions, or the dreaded political correctness which is like a social taboo but stupid. It's almost a compulsion, and I have a hard time keeping it down for the sake of smooth social sailing. It's taken me to bad paths in life out of spite, and it's taken me a long time to identify when it happens and stop myself from doing something to prove a point instead of because it's a good thing to do. Without a doubt it's made me waste precious years of my life.
Proud Canadian conservative right here. I've seen Jordan speak live and he's truly amazing at what he does.
When I was dating my husband long term goals came up. When I asked what his were he responded without even a moment of hesitation, "To be a husband, father, and provider." His life goal was to be responsible even though we were 19 and 21 at the time. That might have been the moment I realized he was the person I wanted to marry. It has certainly stuck with me as an extremely important moment in our relationship.

I have a relatively sophisticated idea about the universe that could potentially answer one or wto big questions we still ask today and i want to gqin the mathematical understanding to check it myself.
I want to understand my view on this world.
I am analytical and sceptical and i recognize the nobility and beauty of the scientific method.
I want to become a scientist.
I want to be a physicist.
I am going to start my university career in half a year.
This summer i will get ready for it and in winter i will take the responsibility of going to lectures and obtaining knowledge that will help me reach my goal.

Read QED by Richard Feynman and Quarks: The Stuff of Matter by Herald Fritsch. Feynman also has lectures on QED and gravity(called The Character of Physical Law) that are amazing. Once you know some calculus watch the MIT and Yale physics lectures before you start your classes. Susskind from Stanford has a lot of lectures that are incredible too but they're not introductory. Also watch the physics videos on the Closer to Truth channel. There's a lot of great ones about the early universe and cosmology.
@@stationdisatrous647 i am certainly not a genius in math because as a child i was never presented the endlessly, mind blowing possibilities of using it as a tool to predict and discover reality, but since i made that realisation i feel alot less intimidated and alot more fascinated by it as a concept like language to understand almost everything.
I would take a bet that math is eazier to understand than the Chinese language...
I already obtained quite a big amount of theoretical knowledge about physics and i am willing to get the practical experience aswell.

@@Skurian_krotesk I have always loved solving complex problems through discussion and compromise. Finding out that conveying your thoughts in the most effective way is the key to being both a good leader and a good employee opened up my eyes to possibilities I had not realized existed. Before I started, I was writing music and fantasy stories, both of which need proper communication techniques. I have felt ahead of the curve because of that background. Even my professors want me to get published. To me, that's a dream come true. My biggest communication weakness was nonverbal, and finding out just how much we use that form of communication in our daily interactions has been the biggest benefit I have received from it. My relationships are much better now. My confidence is better. And I feel a sense of purpose and security I didn't feel before.

Not only that but you can actually get incredibly good at it if you dedicate yourself to it.
I write poetry myself.
I have been doing it for the last 8 years or so and it helped me explain things to myself and get a clear picture about topics that peaked my interest.
I have also been talking to myself when i am alone in order to train arguments and sentence structure whenever i got nobody to talk to about things i am intrigued by.
As an introverted person this helped me a great deal.
I don't know what taste in music you got but PLEASE listen to the song Scism by the band Tool.
At least do me a favour and read the lyrics if you can't get on board with the music style.
Tool is an amazing band and their lyrics are mind blowing.
At least for me it feels like that.

It's not love or hate with JP imo what happens is most people who are curious and watch and listen to him or watch reactions like yours are amazed at the fuss over him from these activist groups. It is difficult to comprehend how these people can listen to his words and get so offended.
It’s a lot easier to understand when you realize that most of them never listened to him. They just listened to someone on their team who said they don’t like him.

They've either just been told that he's a horrible person, so don't listen to anything he says, or they're handed some very short, out-of-context quotes and made to imagine a context for them through the preset lens of "a terrible person said these things". Kinda like when one of my comments got deleted, because I wrote something I can't even relay (for obvious reasons). Best way to explain it, the completed sentence had nothing to do with violence or harm to anyone, but the YT censor-bot (or whatever it is) just registered 2 of the words next to each other WITHIN the sentence and deemed it violent... That's basically what a minority of people do with JP.

@@joebeezy9471 Most obvious example would be him lying about bill c 16 sending people in jail for misgendering or in this video where he brought up difference in amount of men and women in his class as evidence for intrinsic differences between them. But it is definetely not as there can be plenty of sociological explanations for it such as his reputation whether or not you agree with it being truthful.
This mom is a huge JP fan. He uses his lectures to work out some serious thoughts.. and to witness it is a beauty! Loved the reaction!
