38 minute Gentle Yoga for Back Pain

  • So many of us suffer from lower back pain because of sitting for long periods of time, from tight hips, tight hamstrings, and tension all throughout the body -- everything is connected! This practice is designed to ease pain and tension. We'll move with ease through a gentle child's pose to cow pose flow, a bent-knee down dog, and learn how to stand in a neutral, grounded position to take care of the lower back. We'll use a chair (or wall) for pyramid pose and a gentle forward fold, and the rest of the practice will be small and effective movements and stretches on our backs. Breath is a major focus during our practice and key in healing. Props needed: 2 blocks, 1 strap, chair or wall space with doorway (blanket optional)
