Yes, I realize that Magnesium is technically a mineral and not a vitamin. For all intents and purposes, vitamins and minerals function very similarly in the human body!
400mg all at once or 200 morning and 200 night? thanks
@@rainsong7327 Either!
It is neither, but a chemical element, specifically # 12 (Mg) on the periotic table with an atomic weight of 24.305. Classified as a metal.
Yes. I've been taking Mag Glycinate for about a month and have been happy with my results.
I learned about the anti anxiety effects of glycine some years ago. I tried it and it really worked. I also discovered how magnesium will eliminate leg cramps pronto. Having these two elements together is great. It’s very calming.
Thank you so much for your very informative video! You covered a lot of important facts about Magnesium that I’ve been wanting to know!
Magnesium Glycinate has truly helped my sleep and reduced some anxiety!!! Thank you for this video!!!! Very informative!!
Love it!
It’s definitely helped create a calming effect and helped my gain deeper sleep.
This video has been very helpful for me. You addressed all the concerns that I had. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Magnesium is Magnificent.
Again Dr. MithRice God blessed
This was beautifully done! Straight to the pint. Straight to the facts. Thank you!
I'm only in my second day taking this and I feel like a brand new human being!
I do take doxycycline antibiotics with Magnesium and it still works excellent for me.
Great video! As a 71 year old man with a 36 year history of high blood pressure and irregular heart rhythm, I was prescribed this drug for my newly diagnosed AFIB. While I am in the early stages of this drug usage, I noticed an improvement in my vision. My night vision is better and during the daytime everything is brighter. I am hoping the this magnesium glycinate helps. AFIB sucks!
Thank you so much for this video!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Doc Rice
Thank you for explaining bioavaiability.
Thank you Dr 🙏
I ran into Qunol brand magnesium at Walmart, that brand makes also a turmeric supplement with a lot better absorption than the local stuff you can find at the stores
Thank you Doctor
The RDA is about 1/2 enough. Intake 1,000 mg/day and sometimes more.
Excellent information. My wife and I started mag gly from pure encapsulation and have noticed much better sleep.
Awesome! Best supplement company too in my opinion!
How long would it take to sleep well?
Same here. Got it on Amazon.
That’s the same brand magnesium supplement that I use. That brand does have a good reputation and is recommended by Rhonda Patrick
I have been taking this for about a month now, my supplement shows Boron added. Concerned if I should continue as my bowel movements along with stomach issues have changed within the last week, diarrhoea and some cramps.
My stack is Vitamin D3 , Zinc , and I just added Magnesium Glycinate.
I use zinc with copper.
Need K2
@@sunrae7680Make sure not to take Zinc and Copper at the same time……….
Same here
Get a nice d3+k2 supplement. D3 enhances absorption of calcium. K2 ensures the calcium goes where you want it (bones) rather than potentially hardening arteries
If one is meant to take it with Vit D for absorption, this cuts out taking if before bedtime, Vit D acts as a stimulant?
One thing I discovered is that magnesium glycinate tastes a bit like rotten fish, so it's better to use capsules than powder unless you disguise the flavor with something else.
I'm takin 1000 mg magnesium, 2000 mg Vit D3, 30 mg Vit b6 for 6 months now. My over sweating, hair loss, irregular heart beat and anxiety are all normal now just from researching on internet because my doctor didn't even consider vitamins after all the medicine that he gave me fails. I'm taking 1k mg of Mag cuz i live in hot and humid country.
For Irregular Heart beet, Ask your Cardiologist about the
"Watchman Procedeure"!! I had it done and it's amazing.
No more Irregular Heart beat, no more Bloodthinner's,
And no chance of Blood Clots to your Heart or Brain..
Look it up and see!!
Thank me later..
What time of day do you take these? Thank you
@@jojoco6737 i take my vit b6 in the morning then in evening i take my Mag and Vit D3.
I took this for years! And i am still anervous wreck!!
It almost entirely eliminated my chronic leg cramps and it did it almost overnight.
I say 'almost' because if I don't get my full dosage during the day they my return but not NEARLY as bad as when they were horribly incapacitating.
Love it!
Thank you Dr. I found solution to your advice magnesuim glycinate, thank God!
My cardiologist told me to take magnesium for my heart palps and it helps.
Absolutely!
I was recently diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency. I was prescribed 50,000 iu of D2 once a week. This lead me to find out I should be taking magnesium with it. I got 100 mg of magnesium glycinate.
After about two weeks of taking that I started getting the WORST case of restless leg syndrome at night along with strange nighttime anxiety. Sleep was nearly impossible as my body twitched all over and anxiety plagued me.
What would cause this? I thought magnesium stopped restless leg syndrome and instead it caused it for me. It stopped about 5 days after quitting the magnesium. Can anyone give me any info on this?
Thanks for the great info Dr. Mitch! I've been taking Magnesium oxide for a while, and it has been very helpful in regulating bowel habits, reducing muscle cramps, and improving sleep. I am very interested and excited to try mag glycinate. My son also recommended it, and now I'm happy to hear he is on the right track! 😊
Let me know how it goes!
In my case I think I need to keep some mag oxide for constipation, so I may try alternating that with the mag glycinate and see how that works for my other symptoms.
What Dr. Doesn't know difference: mineral or vitamin...Doctor....??? Who knows WHO is he...!!!
Magnesium glycinate is much healthier for you.
I've been supplementing with magnesium glycinate for a while now and had amazing results. Far fewer headaches and no leg cramps just to name a few.
Awesome!
It stopped my anxiety and heart palpitations but it seemed to cause major headaches. I stopped taking it and my headache stopped but the palpitations and anxiety came back. Honestly, I will take the headache instead of the heart palpitations and anxiety.
Great video! Is there a specific brand of magnesium glycinate that you recommend? Also, how much B6 and Vitamin D should you take with the magnesium?
Pure Encapsulations!
Where do we buy (or sold) this particular magnesium glycinate from?
is gayor magnesium glycinate 2000 mg good for start? bcz i have poor sleep
Magnesium Gly is help lower creatinine?
I've been taking this type of magnesium they didn't have my usual brand so im now taking a different brand and I've noticed with in 30 minutes I have sooo much energy why is ? The usual brand I took before relaxed me just wondering
Hello doctor.. What do you recommend to treat essential tremor disease? It is not Parkinson’s disease.. When I stand on a stage or face people, my body trembles, my heart rate increases, I sweat a lot, and I have difficulty speaking.. Can you help?
Hard to say. I definitely would make an appt with your PCP!
I only have 550 mg is it safe to take that much amount of dose ?
Pls tell me which vitamin B6 will you recommend
B-complex is very beneficial which are all the B vitamins. You can’t take too much B vitamins because it’s a water soluble vitamin. Solgar is the brand I buy.
I’ve been taking 200mg glycinate for a couple months. I feel like they nights I take it I get more leg cramps. I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant , does pregnancy require more magnesium?
I’m going to increase my daily dosage to 400 mg and split it up taking it twice a day morning and night and my prenatal mid day to see if that helps.
Do do think possibly a combination of different magnesium types are beneficial or just the glycinate form only?
Combo I think can be most beneficial for your needs!
Thank you
i read magnesium glycinate wouldn´t work for cramps! More for calming effects (brain). Google and try another magnesium which is actually helping against cramps. And that the uploader of this video don´t know shows it just isn´t the right source.
Thank you
Swear by this product✨
What brand of Mg glycinate do you recommend for sleep and the dose? Thanks
Anything by Pure Encapsulations. 300-400 mg daily
@@DrMitchRiceI only have 550 mg what should I do ?
Thanks for the info. Is all Magnesium Glycinate equal, or is there a certain type we should buy?
Anything from Pure Encapsulations is always really good
Thorne brand is also a reputable source however I’m having exceptional results with Pure Encapsulations as recommended. My chronic tetany and blepaharospasms are history on 2 capsules daily
@@SandyBatten1962 awesome!
I was really hoping that the supplement would be able to help me as much as I read about it. But I had the most horrible headaches with it. Not sure if I did something wrong or needed to add something, but I definitely could not take this one.
I would change the dose. Start really small!
@@DrMitchRice thank you for responding. I was only taking one at night as it was. Was hoping it would help with insomnia. 😔
The same happened to me. It stopped my heart palpitations and anxiety but brought on some severe headaches. Think I will just decrease the dosage as I was taking 400 mg.
Repatha?
Is this possible to take if I’ve just recently started BP meds?
I’d wait and let the BP meds work a bit before starting supplements
I can't take the large Magnesium pills and capsules so I tried the powder. I take 200mg once a day, and It makes me hit the bathroom up about 30 minutes after taking it, and its not pretty... Anyone have the same issue and solved it? Anyone know of a small sized MG capsule?
Are you taking Magnesium Citrate ? cut back on dosage to stop or slow down bowel movements, Magnesium glycinate is better 1hour before bed, study up on different types of magnesium.
Sounds like you're taking epsom salts. An old remedy for constipation. Especially at that dose. In large quantities it's used to clear the bowels for medical procedures here in the uk. Too much regularly is dangerous as with any magnesium. Try a level teaspoon.
If mag got image and mag citrate both have advantages, why not take one than of each rather than two of one or the other?
All tailored to what you’re looking for!
It is all true it works for me.
Love it!
Magnesium glycinate has caused me some heart palpations 😢 not sure why. 🤔 My levels are already in the "normal range. I tried them to help with anxiety, headaches and heart flutters.
You say you tried for heart "flutters" the flutters you speak of are a type of palpitation. So how do you know that the magnesium was causing them, or you weren't having them already?
It caused me some serious anxiety. I had to search many videos to find some that didn't clean their comments of any opposing views to get that info. I'm grateful for all that shared their experiences, positive or negative. It does show me the manipulation at UA-cam.
@@edie4321so the magnesium was responsible for it?
@@IndranieCarr, It certainly appears to be. It stopped, when I stopped.
Can you open the capsule because I cannot swallow the capsule.
I have the same problem. Have been opening the capsule and putting it in pure honey and mixing. Tastes awful. But it works.
You can buy magnesium in a liquid form!
Magnesium gummies work as well.
Can Mag glicinate help with AFib?
Probably won’t have a huge difference with Afib in all honesty. Could help with prevention of it though
Thank you.
Does it cure dizziness which occurs bcz of anxiety?
Not necessarily cures
It grow hair For man? What type of vitamin for hair?
Collagen!
Is this help for acid reflux?
Magnesium carbonate would be better for that!
I quit eating carbs and my acid reflux went away in a week
How long to take before you feel a difference?
Depends….some right away some a long time
Give your heart and lungs, peripheral vascular system a fighting chance with Mag gly.
Does magnesium glcanite dt hydrate you?
Not necessarily!

Can magnesium be taken on a weekly basis rather than daily?
Unfortunately not. Can maybe do every other day
@@DrMitchRice thanks for your answer 😀
Have you tried this magnesium before??
I started taking Magnesium oxide 3 days ago but will start taking Magnesium glycinate tomorrow. I'm noticing much better sleep even though I haven't been taking the "good" magnesium.
@@randall1959 that's awesome. Can't wait to see how mag glycinate helps!
Last night was the first time I've slept 8 hours in a very long time. Normally I get up to pee at 4 or 5 (I'm 65) and I'd stay up but now I can go back to sleep.
@@DrMitchRice Last night was my second night on magnesium glycinate and I have to say I'm sleeping much better and it has helped my breathing substantially. I take one 200mg tablet in the late morning and another 200mg tablet an hour before bed.
Yes. I used it primarily for a great sleep.
How long would it take to sleep better?
Not long

small dose of Zn with Mag. for aborption, or no?

I take magnesium glycinate for leg cramps and I feel better. When my doctor heard, that I take it, she asked stop eat it, because it is mans supplement for prostate function. Now I am confused......
Yet another doctor who isn't worth the license. Fire her immediately.
Don’t worry, everyone needs more magnesium as it is not as present in our fresh-grown food as it used to be a couple of hundred years ago (or more). Glycinate is much more easily absorbed.
What about magnesium citrate?
Not a bad choice! More laxative
I take mag citrate at noon only 80 mg. Then 100 mag glycinate bedtime. Also V D 2000 at noon. My D level is 29 at this time. I sit in the sun a lot. In 6 months my level will be higher.
@edithwright6357 hi Edith,,,question for you,,,,are you taking the vit D with any fatty foods, eg, yogurt, cheese oils, meats,,,,you should be,otherwise it won't work,,,,,'vit D is fat soluble, so that is very important

My husband is on sleeping pills and antidepressants.
Don't ask this Drmar...he dosen't know what MINERAL is, or Vitamin...SHAME of 'doctor'...!!!
What is the difference between magnesium glycinate and magnesium glycinate lycinate chelated
Chelated just means bound to organic molecules, so any type of magnesium glycerinate is technically chelated
