If you have Mazda that has a misfire and you replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs and the car still misfires we will explain what could be the reason for the misfire. Many Mazda components have been used on Ford and Mazda as well. For instance MAZDA CX-9 engine and ECU are used on Ford Edge. We have experience many Mazda with a bad ignition driver in the ecu that could cause the misfire.

Where did you send the Ecu to get fixed
Did you get a scan code read out if any kind? I don’t think I heard you say an engine scan was done. Very valuable information for me. My wife’s 2012 cx9 runs rough with blinking engine light then settles down after minute or 2. No stored scan codes found. I had plugs changed in February. 86000 miles. She is original owner.
What company did the repair on the coil?
This should be a recall . It happens with all these engines . A coil goes bad about every 3 months ,and if you don't stop right away it will take the computer out ,and drain the battery dead. When you think the coil is bad you change all the coills ,so then when you get a new PC ,and have it programed they tell you "no warranty unless you change coils again ,and you better not use cheap ones. Sooo this will cost you "in the end " anywhere from,$2000- $4000 . Depends on a few things. If you do your own work and cost of pc and programming at the time ,and when you catch it. And if you have a already weak battery, guess what, a new battery aswell .. ford and Mazda really dropped the ball on this one. Though all their vehicles are almost impossible to work on . Look up timing chain repairs on this same engine , lol you have to drop the engine and transmission out of the bottom of the car smh . Never will I buy ford products ever again . I'll stick to dodge ,Chevy ,or some foreign vehicle first. End rant , screw ford ...

Are you sure the ecu doesn’t have to just be reset? I bunch of people have mentioned they had to reset it after changing batteries at it would cause rough idle until it was
You're making me think this could happen to mazda's, too.
Unfortunately American car companies are smart AND/BUT/YET greedy. They want them to die a lot. Get you so far in you'll keep buying their parts. Foreign company anyways
Cx7 2.3 turbo . LQuestion i have -i have a misfire on cylinder 1 “spark plug coil fuel injection intake gasket pcv valve installed . Still have code says permanent shop erased it and came back on - what else coukd it be.? Ecm.?
I have a P00303 error code for 2009 cx-7 grand touring. 129k miles on it. I have previously replaced the turbo and also had a tune up but error code comes up and replaced spark plugs and coils and even moved the coils around and spark plugs around and still getting same P00303 error code. Seeing if any one has advice. Car will start but engine shakes for 10 minutes until it calms down and can drive it but engine light still on with code. I have tried heet and engine cleaner for fe injector and still the same. I have taken to 2 mechanics and 1 is not sure and other thinks match fuel injector but not sure. Any advice as to what it can be??? Need help
We bought a 2007 Mazda CX 9. At about 126,000 miles or so the check engine light came on and was flashing angrily at me. We ended up sending the computer to a rebuild shop in North Carolina, replaced the coils and spark plugs. The check engine light came on but wasn't flashing but went out on its own later.

mine no throttle respond, engine off when flooring the throttle... what happened ?
Am using masda cx7. And is actually performing low especially while moving , it does brake but quench, but move smoothly while reverseing.. I have change fuel pump, ignation coil, top cylinder gasket, grind the valves,change many sensors. Please help for the solution. thanks

was the tunnel to the spark plugs misfiring Wet or dry? ....if wet (oil ) replace the seals and valve gasket ....if its only 1 misfiring ..check for rodent damage to wires ...but im leabing more towards the Seals leaking into the plug compartment

I follow you guy's on all your cx 7 videos, my wife has a 09 cx 7 2.3 turbo. We replaced the head gasket, turbo, timing chain, coil packs, and alot of other parts. But we still get a misfire code, but I also got a code for p0012 A Camshaft Position timing over-retarded. Now will that make it throw codes for misfiring as it jumps from cylinder to cylinder. I can reset it, and it stays off for a bit. The p0012 comes on after so many miles. The misfire codes come on alot. I am close to it running perfect, but the turbo also whines a bit when accelerating. I think it needs to be tuned, but I also believe the manifold has a small air leak. You guys are awesome, if it wasn't for your videos this car would be still sitting in the driveway not moving at all.

Crankshaft sensor would cause misfires, yes.
It's the injectors.. common problem with the speeds.

2008 CX-9 with 245,000 - Has been a stellar vehicle - Overtime the ignition coils failed and we just had another fail - Have replaced three total so far #2 is next up...
Did the same on my 6,an bunch other stuff,an does exactly the same missing.

You're working on a Good, not a Mazda... though the ecus are the same..... not a mazda. Unless the computer is the fix, but the rest of all the other stuff is irrelevant.

@@jessiehughes9432 i found my problem.after changing every single thing on that engine lol. It was that a plastic part that’s kinda attached to the throttle body .let me see what it was called
@@theeats5043 whole throttle body was replaced on it also,its got salvage yard numbers on it.
@@jessiehughes9432 check your valve shutter next the manifold.the arm that connect to the variable swirl shutter was broken. It’s a cheap plastic piece.but you can’t buy it alone .i just got a new used manifold 🤷🏻♂️.with that part on

hello.. I have a problem with a mazda 6 2.0 2003 car.. the coil pack doesn't spark 2 and 3.. I tried to change the new coil, it's still the same.. I tried to check the wires, there was no problem.. the last time I tried to change the crank sensor, it was ok.. It's been 1 month.. what's the problem sir?
