A ranking of the different companions in KOTOR and my thoughts on how to build them. These are of course only my opinions and are not set in stone. Please don't smash the dislike button just because you disagree :)

Everyone hates on Carth. I don’t blame him for being the way he is.
hes S tier in taris and dantooine but falls off dramatically unless you build him around a dual sword set up pistols have the worst damage in the game unless your a jedi with master speed rank 3 multi shot and rank 3 valor theres hardly anything in this game that boosts pistol dmg
A lot about him makes sense when you realize he's from the planet where the Jedi dumped their unwanted kids. Then factor in the meta that he ran across Zayne after his Jedi Masters framed him for murder. Also, while his rants seem paranoid...well, it's not paranoia if you turn out to be dead right!

HK-47 and I don't care who else. HK-47 delivers some of my favourite video game character dialogue of all time.

I still can't forget how much I have fun playing as T3 while in the Leviathan,nothing is better than killing a room full of troops using a droid with 2 blaster pistols and a flamethrower
Two weapon fighting is a waste of 2 feats for T3 - he can't master it. So most of his shots will miss anyway because of the dual wielding attack penalty.
A flamethrower and a stun ray are quite enough for T3 to win without using his blaster pistol. He can also launch grenades.
@@timonsolus don't forget to mention his impractical immunity to enemies with blasters and lightsabers when you get him the shield from the yavin

Unpopular Opinion[?]: Carth isn’t whiny, (Protagonist) just won’t stay out of his business and gets very justifiably upset when you keep ignoring his boundaries lol
additionally, Carth was being right all along by beinf suspicious of MC - after all he/she was Revan all the time!

Mission has pretty much never left a Consular character's side in any of my playthroughs, as she just melts anything that gets stunned. It's actually kind of scary, though Dark Jedi understandably cause some trouble at times.
Put 15 in wisdom 16 in charisma 12 Constitution and 14 strength
Play as a light side focus character do scout level 4 and consular level 16
Every attribute point you get put it into wisdom and equip the circlet of Suresh the second you get it you will of course go to kashyyyk immediately for this item
Powers you would want to focus immediately
You will put your first two points for force into fear and horror when possible
This allows you to take advantage of a low willpower saving throw
You will then get push and whirlwind this will allow you to take advantage of a low reflex saving throw as well as stunning those pesky sentinels
And next you will want Force choke up to kill when you can get it this will allow you to kill any enemy in two terms provided you can bypass their fortitude saving throw it also works on sentinels
Force valor fully upgraded will allow you to force choke Malik allowing you to beat him just as easy as anyone else
Do you want force breach to get rid of his protective shield and anyone else's protective shield
And then of course you'll need 20 computers spikes for the Star Forge robes
And if you would like you can upgrade Force whirlwind to force wave it is an exceptional alternative to Force lightning for a light side character
Have fun decimating enemies without ever lifting your lightsaber
Unless you're actually playing as Mission it's sometimes hard to understand how much work she puts in. Consular is also the ideal PC to use her with.
@@gregtuff4020 a Jedi guardian is amazing at taking out boss fights and then you can use Jolee and mission for crowds of weaker enemies

I have finished k1 5+ times through-out my formative years, never once using Mission in my party, went through the whole game with her in my party and was pleasantly surprised the amount of damage she can deal with sneak attacks and upgraded weapons !
Indeed, all you have to do is switch on Movement in Combat, run her round behind the enemy before attacking, and she’s golden. Just be careful not to use her Critical Strike too often as it reduces her armour class by 5, which is like having her wear clothing in combat instead of light armour. Max out the Dueling and Toughness feats ASAP for better defence and health.

@@garyella1301 : Mission is best when you max out her Duelling feat, which only works with one single handed weapon. (The Duelling feat makes it easier for Mission to hit her enemies, and also makes it harder for her enemies to hit her back.)
So she should use her vibroblade, or a single blaster pistol (preferably upgraded ones).
Mission should wear light armour (so she can benefit from her dexterity bonus) and a cardio-regulator belt when she’s in combat. A Neural Band for her head and and Eriadu Strength Amplifier gloves are also recommended.
She should only use her Critical Strike or Sniper Shot feats when she’s attacking an enemy from behind, or the enemy is stunned, as they make her much more vulnerable to being hit herself when she does.

Man, that sounds tough! So are you only going you and T3 once you unlock him until you get HK, or just T3 and an ally until you get HK? Either way, that'll be interesting to see, report back on how it's going :)

I am now I know what I'm doing :)
I do use mission and t3 on the hardest difficulty as well
T3 can pass pretty much any skill check and any skill check that t3 can't pass mission can
If you go to yavin station you can get t3 an infinite shield and an infinite flamethrower as well as an infinite stun arm
Then set him to Droid support or you can manually control him to focus down the strongest Target with this flamethrower or stun arm
If you are playing a consular build with really high difficulty class on your Force Powers you can stun groups of enemies and have a dual pistol mission sneak attack the hell out of everything
Meanwhile t3 is great at taking out lightsaber opponents because his flamethrower always lands so it always does damage and he can negate the damage of lightsabers
On top of this with the armor you get at yavin station for t3 he can get a plus 13 to armor class allowing him to avoid most melee attacks
You can turn anyone into a min maxed character and still support their play style
Of course if you're playing on normal you don't need to worry about min max but some of us do enjoy playing with the numbers of this game save that for your second or third playthrough though
I know this is what everyone says but this game should get a full on remaster. Possibly even with more content added. It should be 1 & 2 remastered.

I know this comment was months ago but today a kotor remake was announced!
Every damn time I start playing this game, I expect to use different companions.
Every time I end up with Bastila and HK-47.
Bastila just fits the game because of her relationship with Revan, her relevance to the story and her Force bond.
HK-47 is just way too awesome, best dialogues, banter, he is such a legend, and also it makes sense for him to be in Revan's party.
I guess I'll die without using Jolee, sadly, because everyone says wonders about him.
I use Mission all builds haha. Good to have someone that has skills in absolutely everything!
Hehe, I always like to bring mission along, simply cause she is the kind of character stat wise I like to play, and I worked out the most absurd damage build. I basically spent all my credits the whole game getting the most crazy of items for her, and with her sneak attack I was getting upwards of over 50 points of damage per hit..... at level 10
And although most people use her at range I made a broken melee fighter that ended up being able to solo things like a Terantetek
Oh and had her using critical attacks with a 50% threat rating
Full build HK has similar to damage to Carth while also being much tankier. Also, he gets stat points, which is infinite roleplay exp.
I just can't imagine playing this game without carth
Tip for Carth:
Put 1 attribute point into Intelligence. If you do, Carth will get 2 skill points every time he levels up, instead of only 1.
He really is underrated. Him and Mission. Mission? Load up on spikes, put her on stealth, have her sneak over to the terminal, disabling and re-laying mines on the way, and have her wreak merry havoc with the computer systems. There's most of the base taken out before you have to light a saber.
Carth? He's more like a SWTOR "skank tank" - a DPS with some tanking ability. He starts out with a pretty nifty and upgradeable blaster. Adding Bendak's or Cassus Fett's pistol and upgrading that will give him insane firepower, especially with the light exoskeleton from Yavin to keep his dexterity high. Leviathan bridge fight? Switch to dual vibroblades (the Baragwin blade and Prototype vibroblade do very well) and send him straight at Saul while the PC and Bastila mop up the backup dancers.
And if you are inclined to mods? Their LS scores are higher than the party Jedi, so if you have a cross class mod, there's some interesting bonuses for LS buffs.
As far as the character? Look, Sbarge has a VERY distinctive voice. But he nails this part, and it's a shame that half of the acted dialogue can't be accessed by male players (one of several reasons why, screw canon, play these games as the opposite gender they claim as canon).

I prefer to use T3M4 in the Sith base rather than Mission, he is better at slicing computer systems and repairing broken droids than she is. T3M4’s droid energy shield keeps him safe from blaster fire, so he can lead the party as a target for the enemy. His shield disrupter (special droid weapon) is great for taking down the big assault droid at the elevator, as it does 20 ion damage every shot, guaranteed.
Finally, T3M4 is good at fighting the Sith Governor, as droids are immune to his Force powers. T3M4 can use his stun ray weapon to stun the Governor and stop him attacking the player (although it will take several shots), and then turn him into Special Fried Sith with a flamethrower (there’s one in the armoury).

@@timonsolus The main disadvantage with T3 is that he can't use stealth, but there is a terminal right in the entrance so no need to sneak around to cause mayhem. But good one on using him for the Governor fight.
I've always found Bastila very quick to die. That's why I start by raising her Constitution.

Rarely did I use droids, though HK-47 delivers some great hilarious jokes
Mission was never my choice. I’m used to go head to head with enemies, so I never felt she was useful
Juhani is a fine choice for a battle, albeit I tend not to use her when I replay the game, she’s a bit boring
Zaalbar is my top choice during the first half of the game (Taris, Dantooine, 1-2 planets up to your choice). This buddy deals a great amount of damage (just give him the sword from Kashyyyk and/or from tombs on Korriban). He is the best tank by far in the game if you’ve buffed his toughness and strength
Carth and Canderus, they are pretty much alike, I love them both, though Carth is my choice due to his dialogues.
Bastila is lovely, always loved speaking to her. She is pretty versatile for battle, but she is average at the same time.
Jollee is nice when you play guardian or sentinel. He has cool dialogues options, though.

Thinking of doing a scoundrel build for stealth attacks. Jolee will be my best bet for his stun abilities. That way I can all my sneak attack damage
You can stun by your own as a scoundrel/consular, or even as scoundrel/guardian (14 wis and 14 cha worked wonders to land Horror on almost every ennemy i crossed)
Just bought this on the switch and looking for a great Light Side walkthrough.
Sneak attacks trigger on targets that are fighting another person if I remember, so Mission will get sneak attacks on bosses since they will be attacking your player character most likely.
Master Power Attack is +10 damage per attack. Master Force Speed with two weapons is 4 attacks per round, a potential +40 damage

@@GamingYourOwnWay not from what I see. I wish I could send a screenshot. If they are stunned the feedback shows even when I'm in front of them that its a sneak attack.
It will roll for defense. Then main hand damage. Adjust for rolled defense. Then do a damage breakdown with the sneak attack damage.
From what I see, with my version on the Xbox one, sneak attack works from any direction if enemy can't respond to the attacks.
You're correct, sneak attacks trigger whenever you're in range, and either you're behind the enemy or they're incapacitated. I was just correcting the statement of "fighting another person" not giving the entire definition of sneak attack.

I played a Scoundrel -> Sith Councilor build and while I did bring Bastila and HK-47/Ordo along for roleplaying reasons, I was doing so much damage by the end that I was effectively soloing. Companions can make much of the game easier but by the end it doesn't really matter much which ones, if any, that you bring along
huge tip if you go force wave it does equal damage as force storm (test it for yourself) has an AOE stun and costs half the force and synergizes with both light and dark
I love this game, but something I never really explored was using Mission beyond when you first get her, who I end up ditching when I get Bastila, so I want to force myself to use her and am looking at creative ways that other people have used her, especially after hearing from many different people about how Mission can do huge amounts of damage.
Mission is very good for a "strategy" run. Stealth and slicing can wipe out a ridiculous amount of the Vulkar base on Taris, and the Sith Base and Rift station on Manaan.
My default is a squishy Consular build, so I end up leaning heavily on Mission's stealth for hit and run attacks. Manipulating the AI pathing, map chokepoints, mines, and other dirty tricks solves a lot of fights that would otherwise destroy a party.
@@Allronix I used her on Manaan (which was my 3rd planet) and she completely ripped apart Darth Bandon like he was a regular Sith trooper, it was disgusting how strong she was.
@@Linkforlife199 Yeah, that sneak attack is devastating if you know how to work the mechanics. She's pretty much Ace McShane (she who shot a Dalek in the face with a rocket launcher and followed up by clobbering another to death with a baseball bat) transplanted to the Star Wars universe
I know this is an old comment, but I'll respond anyways just on the off chance that you're like me and will play this game even still today. Mission is literally the best character you can use for a light sided consular gun build.
Basically you use Carth/Mission "duel wield"/Scoundral/Consular.
Carth and Mission uses two guns. Always have them use the most up to date version of "stun" like a sith assassin pistol that you currently have. The goal is for them to help you stun targets. You can use any gun you like. I like to use blaster rifles and go force speed maxed out. Dual Wield isn't worth it in my opinion, too many feats used up and force speed adds as more attacks than rapid shot does. Put all of your level up points into wis/cha and focus on stun droid/force stasis. Walk into fight and mass stun everyone, watch mission and main character 1 shot everything and quickly move to next target.
Malak is a pain, just use mines. Before you fight him, set up two lines of mines. Cause him to run through the first line triggering the cutscene. Run around and destroy all of his life refills. Once there are no more jedi for him to refill on, run him through the second set of mines you laid. IIRC, stun droid should destroy the jedi refills.
Beating him with your blaster rifle will just take too long and you'll spend most of the time running or using med packs.
Honestly, I don't believe I have found a team that can dish out more damage so quickly as this trio because of the 5 sets of sneak attacks going off on every stunned enemy. The trade off is literally just Malak himself, but by that point you should have so many mines, that you can just cheese him.
You can go rapid shot and dual wield, but honestly I would rather save my feats for implant, toughness, and empathy. Empathy being the least important one and first to get rid of in case you really need that 1 extra attack.
@@jfast8256 In my experience, you do not really need Toughness when you are dishing out ungodly amounts of damage like with Mission.
The only trick is making sure Mission (or whoever is your main damage dealer) does not get targeted down before you can land that initial CC.
For Malak, if you open with Force Breach, you can CC him to death.
I can't seem to find a video on all the companion quest's i.e. how they meet people on certain planets like Carth gets told his son dustil is on korriban also would be fun to know from someone who has played a lot which characters talk to each other with secret dialogues when you take them in a party together like Canderous and Carth do lol always arguing
I always tank Canderous for melee. He deals about as much damage as Jedi in that build and can take a beating.
Fuck.. ive never thought about that. he is pretty OP. i always take him in the dark side run at the star forge
@@blaky626 : As a soldier, Canderous gets enough feats to max out two handed fighting and flurry, as well as toughness and rapid shot, so he can be great at both ranged fire and melee.

I think zalbarr upon further examination in my playthroughs would be behind canderace and carth due to the lack of being able to equip him with extra armor and head gear buffs. I feel that’s a pretty unfortunate hindrance Wookiees fall into the bao-dur category where they can deal nice damage but they stop being able to tank hits quickly.
I don't even let Carth open his mouth after Taris. Hk however.... we get trashed together and wingman one another all over the galaxy.

I prefer to have Juhani with a wisdom of 14 or so, that allows her to be formidable with the force, especially if someone else uses valor, I dont give that to her as I view it as more a support tactic, she is not that. Shes meant to be offensive. Sure she should focus more on lightsaber enhancing powers but I think at least plague, wave, or throw can work. Throw especially since it's not effected by wisdom.
Jolee can be good as a lightsaber wielder if given force speed, that works while in conjunction with armor and valor which boost his abilities. If he runs out of force power he needs a back up weapon he can rely on like a lightsaber. I work to eliminate my characters weaknesses so they be versatile.

the S tier team is debatable between candaris jolee bindo and hk-47 (after fully unlocking him through repair skill) candaris can use heavy weapons which is the highest damage gun in the game has enough skill points to get 3 implant 2 in toughness and 3 rapid fire jolee is a consular so you can get your rank 2 heal rank 3 fear rank 3 force push and rank 3 droid kill easily the most op CC skills in the game HK has highest health bagarins rifle is decent (most effective against other droids) and does not use med pacs to heal only other option is mission she can get capped defense (34) finish off at 15 str has extremely high sneak skill damage AND her special stuns so it synergizes really well with scoundral builds
Is there anything wrong with the all jedi crew? 18 str 18 wisdom Jedi Guardian, then bring juhani and bastilla thats what I do
There's nothing wrong with any crew! You should always bring with you whoever you like, and they're both great companions!

If we're talking min max, drop those to 16 and spread the rest of your points to constitution and charisma. If we're talking about beating the game, that would probably work just fine (until a certain event that contains a major spoiler). Fortunately you do have another jedi at your disposal and candorus can hold his own against any jedi.
Does HK-47's position change if you have a character that is very skilled in repair? I figured that having his extra stat bonuses very early would at least put him above T3.
I think either way he's still definitely better than T3, they're just both in that same tier because they're not really the best for combat. He definitely gets some major buffs in KOTOR 2 though, then he really gets to shine! :D
Yes, HK-47 is definitely better in combat than T3. T3 is only effective when using droid special weapons.
I gave him the best droid armor from yuka laka when i bought him and with only 2 repairs done he got attack and defense boosts. With the droid part he has around 10 more defense than my other characters, even my heavy armor mc. It went well against tuskens because i had a melee revan and bastila, so two frontliners to keep enemies away from him.

In my playthroughs I dont give hanharr any weapons or even level him up. In my story he is a clever slave that figured out how to cheat his way into mission serving his life dept for him.
One thing , game's (and arguably d20 rules by extension) bias towards strength/melee combat make ranged characters feel understrength.
Just compare big Z damage output with Carth... Mission is an exception if you can consistently provide mass stunning - either as MC or by keeping Jolee with you and using his wide array of possible stuns (light side, dark side and side effect of mass push), but you will have to put her limited feats on specific path to be most effective (max out dual wielding, and rapid shot)
I personally think juhani is the best as you can leave her alone and she kills enemies without you micromanaging anything due to her tankiness. On second place there’s either bastila (a bit flimsy) or canderous (only con is he can’t use the force).
lol Sneak Attack doesnt just apply for stunned enemes but also attacks from behind. Just have one guy like Canderous to tank for the team (or even your player do the tanking) and micro manage Mission to shoot your foes' backs. Mission is the best character to use against boss fight WHEN you have someone to tank. Also Mission throwing grenades behind your enemies' backs while someone who tanks for your team has enviromental bastion armour, she slaughters the group of enemies.
Canderous is a good tank due to his regenration.
Zaalbar can go down quite quickly due to his low defense. But he is the strongest member in your party so give him a critical strike feat.
Carth doesnt have any specialty. He is quite good on Taris but after that, he is less useful than other teammates due to ranged weapons alone dont have good damage in comparision to melee weapon. The same thing with HK and T3.
If there was a taunting ability that forced them to attack a certain character I'd raise mission in my ranking, but I've been playing as a scoundrel or using mission lately in my livestreams and if they change their mind and decide to go after her she's done for.
@@GamingYourOwnWay But you can control Mission to run away to shoot at the backs of the foes that your player or other teammates are fighting against. Why would you let Mission stay in one spot?
I mean, just because they're attacking your tank doesn't mean they won't stop and go after mission
@@GamingYourOwnWay : Enemies going after Mission is not a problem as long as she doesn't use Critical Strike, which lowers her armour class by 5 and makes her an easy target. (And of course, don't bring a blaster to a vibroblade fight.)

i like canderous the best but ill use evreyone on certain missions
I try to use everyone, but unfortunately sometimes T3 and Mission get left behind :/ I'm starting to appreciate the value of sneak attack and crits more though, so I'll have to see if I can use Mission more next time I play.
@@GamingYourOwnWay : T3 is effective inside the Sith Base on Taris, and in the Sith Embassy on Manaan, and not just for slicing computers. Just make maximum use of his energy shields and droid special weapons in combat. I always use T3 to take out the huge elevator droid on Taris using his Shield Disrupter, and stun the Sith Governor using his Stun Ray. Almost as good as Bastila using Stun Droid and Stasis force powers.
HK and Candy make me wish Heavy Weapons scaled off STR instead of DEX like all the other blasters.
And also that rifles weren't so underwhelming. Just, like, in general.

I read about a build for Mission--haven't tried it out yet--where she uses Zaalbar's bowcaster and dumps almost all her points into INT and Sniper Shot so she could more reliably set up her own sneak kills, sounded mighty interesting
I'm starting to come around to the idea of using crits and sneak attack more, something I might have to explore more into on my next playthrough! Right now I'm doing a watchman in my let's play and I'm working on leveling up my sneak attack.
Mission is better with a Sith Assassin Pistol than with Zaalbar’s bowcaster.
@@timonsolus I always have her dual wield sith assassin pistols. Main hand uses the one you get on the bridge of the leviathin.
@@jfast8256 : I always max out the duelling feat with Mission, and use single handed weapons. She’s more likely to hit the enemy she’s fighting, and less likely to get hit herself that way. (+3 to attack roll and +3 to armour class.)
@@timonsolus If their AC is 10 because they are stunned, it doesn't matter if she has +13 / +11 to hit or +16 to hit?
Trust me on this. scoundrel/consular who stun locks everyone, that +3 doesn't matter, neither does the -2 for your second sith assassin pistol.
But getting in that extra +8d6 damage per enemy attacked does matter.
I guess I should mention, I only use Mission when I'm going full guns/sneak attack with a light sided stun jedi who uses a gun.
Is flurry/rapid shot really so much better than power & snipe/crit?
Power Attack (melee) just looks so freaking cool.
In my playthroughs as a kid playing Kotor, I always used only Jedi in my party once I could and stopped using everyone else.

T3-M4 is basically an R2-D2 with guns. I would give him the the blasters you're barely wanting to keep whenever you're selling loot.
HK-47 is a grenade guy. If you have the DLC, get one of the Baragwin rifles on Yavin 4! With it fully upgraded, HK-47 be arguably as good as Carth, in my opinion. Jurgan Kalta's Assault Rifle is another HK-47 favorite if you ask me based on its description alone. The results in combat will not disappoint.
Mission, depending on armor, will be a melee gal. Typically I keep her with a single pistol, sometimes a rifle. Sky's the limit on how you can build her.
Big Z is always, always, always a melee guy! The only time I keep a blaster of any sort in his hand is on Taris. I prefer his chieftain sword and then best sword left in the off hand.
Carth. . . sigh. . . I give him Bendak's blaster, if I haven't given it to Mission, or the best blaster available and his own blaster in the off hand, if it's weaker than the other.
Canderous is a heavy blaster guy though I do not recommend keeping his blaster later in the game. There are better heavy blasters. Can't go wrong with melee. He's a Big Z like tank with the right heavy armor.
Bastila is not one I customize too often, weapons wise. Go with lightsaber upgrades as you please. Feats, I tend to change things up sometimes to give her a more dark side feel. Makes her quite hypocritical when she lectures you, doesn't it? Lol!
Juhani. . . I do not steer away from her normal weapons. Beast it up with the upgrades as you please. Depending how I play through determines if I build on some of her dark side feats. You could go armor with her if you want but I feel it takes away from other needed feats near game's end.
Jolee, my mage. A blaster deflection upgrade is a must to protect him. If my main character is not wearing the robes found in the cave on Korriban, they go to him since he's the weakest, health wise, of your jedi companions. You could go armor I suppose but I, myself, do not recommend it since it takes away from force abilities that help the team.

I've been wondering about 'Blaster Rifles'.
I'm not very savvy with the game mechanics, but am I right in thinking the 'Blaster Rifles' have twice the critical threat range of other weapons?
If so, should that not be paired with 'Sniper Shot' to get the most critical damage?

To get the highest chance at a critical hit, yes, I agree, but I'd only do that if you're running a class that doesn't specialize in two weapon fighting. I'm doing some testing right now with critical hits and sneak attack damage and stuff though, so I reserve the right to change my mind on this 😅

I would say yes to both, not even necessarily for that, but because they get so few feats, you don't want to waste feats on two weapon fighting, there are others that are more important for them

I always play with the Jedi so I switched it up and HK-47 is so great in game. I love the story as well. He was with Revan until the very end. He's hilarious. I'm glad I switched it up. Jolee isn't the best imo but I can totally see why you'd pick him. I'm a Consular now so I don't want another in my party. I'd rather have Juhani or Bastilla and HK-47.
i'm going to have to hard disagree with any list that has Carth and Bastila this high. Could not stand either character and didn't really find either of them all that useful in combat and especially in puzzle/problem-solving situations
you know its weird, Juhuni's Force Camo is almost completely useless because theres no sneak attack

I disagree with the ranking.
+ Mission -> should be Chromium, sneak attack can be used when you attack someone from the back without the need of stunning the target. Making her a more than competent DPS in the late game even against bosses.
- Zaalbar -> should be degraded to Bronzium, like you say he can not wear any armor and his focus is STR (Melee), he is not useful as a tank and as DPS is average at most. Overall I feel like the explorer class is a bit lackluster, more focused on skills and saving throws with the use of implants as the only advantage.
- Juhani -> should be degraded to Chromium, For me she is only at Chromium because she is a jedi and can use force. If we use Juhani as Force user she loses to Bastila and Jolee, DPS she slightly higher than to Carth and Canderous thanks to the force and the lightsabers, Tank... she can not use armor or she loses the force powers so normally she lose to our soldiers. If Juhani was a DEX build instead of STR the I had not complains.

Just because increasing her DEX will make her have a good enough chance to hit, and she'll be dealing enough damage, she really doesn't need the strength, focusing on strength will sacrifice some chance to hit later in the game, her defense rating, and her damage output won't be that significantly increased. I would put 1 point into STR for her though so she's not stuck at 13 lol :)

DON'T increase Bastila's Strength by 1 to get it to 14 - wait until a dead enemy drops a pair of Strength Gauntlets, which boost Strength by +1, and give her those.

mission is so underr rated she has 17 dex and 1h perks as a scoundral she is the #1 tank in this game if you give her medium armor from the yavin shop and bagarins sword put her on default attack and watch her def get capped at all times with normal swings

Hmm. I'm playing for the first time and am disappointed HK is so bad. Wonder if I could save edit him a proper build. Like swap his starting strength and dex.
Repairing HK-47 makes him better. Especially with all 4 repairs. But you need to put at least 11 skill points into Repair, buy Calrissian's Utility Belt on Dantooine for 3,000 credits, and have a Jedi cast Master Valor on you just before talking to him.

@@alexander27ja : Because Master Valor raises all your attributes by 5 points, including Intelligence. Every 2 points of Intelligence above a base of 10 gives you a +1 bonus to your Repair skill. You need a modified Repair skill of 17 to fully repair HK-47.

@@alexander27ja : For Bastila, focus on Dexterity so she hits more often with her lightsaber and doesn’t get hit so often herself. For Feats, Master 2 Weapon Fighting and Master Flurry. Master Valor is a great Force Power for her that buffs everyone in the party.
A Guardian Jedi should focus on either Dexterity (Light Side) or Strength (Dark Side). Master Duelling for Light Side (single saber) or 2 Weapon Fighting for Dark Side (double saber). Guardians are more about fighting with a lightsaber than using force powers. That said, Master Speed is essential for any Guardian. Force Armour and Force Immunity are also very useful. Get Force Whirlwind or Force Wave for disabling and damaging enemies.
STR Melee Canderous is much better than Dex Range Canderous. After around 25+ playthrough in my entire life, i really feel that he's actually the strongest melee companion : better at hitting, doing damages & taking damages than Zaalbar, and at least better at dealing damages than Juhani. Zaalbar should be lower in the list tho, probably below Mission.
I think Juhani should be better with master speed. Nevertheless Canderous's regenaration makes him a good tank.

@@Veolfen Zaalbar is strong in early game. He is your best choice if you want a tank who can stun enemies with critical strike. However after the third star maps, the strength gap between him and an armoured Canderous is about 1-2 atribute points.

Content and quality is good, but that music is wack, and too loud. For a video like this that music really cheapens the experience and makes it annoying to watch. Just an opinion, otherwise appreciate the video.
I appreciate the feedback! I agree, music is probably too loud, it's something I've been working on ever since I started making videos and I think I'm finally getting to a good place with volume. As for the quality of the music, it's a pretty subjective thing, but I respect your opinion. Maybe subconsciously I put in louder music because I can't imagine just listening to my voice for 20 minutes lol

Ahh gotcha gotcha, yes, those are pretty nice, they help you not have to micromanage your companions as much. For example, if you have jedi support on Kreia, she'll use force powers more often, especially buffing powers.
T3 is great for skills tho
T3 is effective inside the Sith Base on Taris, and in the Sith Embassy on Manaan, and not just for slicing computers. Just make maximum use of his energy shields and droid special weapons in combat. I always use T3 to take out the huge elevator droid on Taris using his Shield Disrupter, and stun the Sith Governor using his Stun Ray. Almost as good as Bastila using Stun Droid and Stasis force powers.

I don’t see jolee that high. He’s by far the worst of the jedi as he dies consistently due to low hp and terrible ai. He’s only good if you play him yourself and have a pc that is a melee tank and takes on all enemies
I almost regret making this video so long ago. The ranking is so heavily dependent on your specific playstyle, so I don't disagree with you. I like him at the rating given how I play the game, but I recognize that other people rank them differently given how they play.
