I personally always go low charisma 10-12 and 10 Dex and then 10 intelligence so I can play a aggressive force playstyle. I tend to weave in and out of combat buffing / healing where needed maybe not the most optimal or best I find it fun. My point go into Strength,Wisdom, constitution mainly. Again how I play as consular as I hate spamming aggressive force powers I tend to buff when playing light

I played 5e for... 8 years? And never once was tempted to play a warlock. Now my very first character for 2024 D&D is going to be a warlock. They just improved the class *so much*. The invocations are light years better than they used to be. The subclasses are way better... they're actually appealing now. I'm going archfey because I love the idea of a trickster who teleports around, and there's so many fun invocations - the one that lets you cast jump (which is even better than it used to be) and the one that lets you cast invisibility.... So cool. Great video, keep it up!

Fiendish vigor sucks ass -FFF Trash tier ability. Just have Armor of Agathys or Dark One's Blessing. Both do a great job at making you tank a few hits.

They never fixed devils sight, as a basic darkness spell will make you blind! It only sounds good on paper, but is still broken, well unless you download a mod that fixes it.

I play different classes each time and Ive experimented with different stats. I mostly play as a melee combatant. I think 14 strength, 13 dexterity, and 14 constitution are ideal, but it really depends. I don't go below 10 or above 16 generally.

Thanks for adding to the growing selection of videos geared towards introducing folks to this hobby. TTRPG's have been a big part of my life for over 30 years now, and many of my dearest friendships were made at the gaming table. Roll on folks, adventure awaits!

Everyone is creative enough for DnD. You only need to be able to talk to the other people around you. The rest will come.

We yuk it up quite a bit in our sessions and that mixed with gameplay makes the 4 to 6 hour sessions really fly by

Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace was my favorite game of all time when I was a little kid just because you could kill any NPC in the game. Wiping out everyone in Mos Espa as Qui Gon Jin with a lightsaber and thermal detonators was hilarious lol I think I beat that game at least 5 times (with cheat codes lol).

The game freeze bug in kotor is caused by high frame rates. Capping framerate at 75 or lower fixes it. I agree though kotor did not age well lol. I always said it was the best RPG ever made for years, then recently finally decided to play it again after not playing it for over 20 years. Gah damn it just doesn't hit the same way as it used to. I honestly think the class stories in SWTOR are way better. Next up on my list of games to replay is Mass Effect trilogy. Really hope it's as good as I remember it haha

This video is super helpful, been winning ever since it was brought to my attention. I found that if Ghost survives the open, you can risk a special and put RC under stealth to help your odds

Paint your minis with cheap craft paint. Painting is fun but you can go as simple or as complex as you want. From a distance it doesn't matter much. Simple color blocking with craft paint is enough to make them look good from a distance. Also Wizkids minis are pre-primed but if you bought non-primed minis then just pick up some basic light gray rustoleum primer (cheap) or go hardcore and buy fancy mini paints NOTE: the speedpaint/contrast paints are the easiest to use and give the models great contrast. Painting tip: Prime models dark gray or black, then use either a light gray/white primer to spray down onto the model OR just use white paint and paint in downward brush strokes to paint up the highlighs on the model. Then let it dry and paint with your Speedpaint /or Contrast paints. It will make the models really pop and be vibrant

Also, in terms of physical stuff. I’d recommend D&D beyond. It’s the official app and there are free stuff for character making, and people can buy stuff in the app at any time, and the digital books are cheaper than physical

As someone who has played a lot, I definitely enjoy more people covering D&D. I’ll also recommend Adventure league. It’s easy for drop-in/drop-out play and has tons of premade adventures, and folks can even make official fan adventures called Dungeoncraft. The best part about AL for me is you can go from one table to another with the same characters, since all AL DMs use the same consistent rules. So a level 1 rogue can play in Saltmarsh one week, do a fun 4 hour adventure, get level 2 and then play in Hillsfar at a different game shop or even from In person play to online, or visa versa.

If you are going based solely on gameplay? Yea D tier. If you are going based on character? A or B. He’s awesome.

Carth is B tier. He’s OG first true companion in the game. Yea he’s annoying as hell but he does have a cool backstory. Def not A or S but can’t say D tier. Can hear an argument for C.

I tailored my crew as advised, but they didn't quite measure up, and followed te Basic/Expose plan. It took 5 tries, but it worked.

Really been trying to understand this cause I really want to enjoy kotor but I just can't. I suck at math, so all the numbers and whatnot get lost on me. I'm at the spot in KOTOR 2 where you are forced to play as that one character in the pit and killing a single enemy just takes forever. I just wish the game was simpler to get into.

T3 is probably the most underrated character in the entire game. If you build him right with some of the Yavin purchases and whatnot, hes capable of soloing the entire game, even on hard, with little to no difficulty. Its pretty insane just how strong the little guy is

This tactic didn't work for me. I equipped same mods and almost same stats i have with you. Vader kills rolo and solo pretty fast at round 2. 0/3 so far.

Few opinions and corrections... Armor of Shadows is also weak as, even if you don't have someone else to cast it on you, warlocks can wear light armor. Studded leather is available nearly right off the bat, so it's only a +1 to your AC (and some weight savings). However, mid-way into Act 1, you'll have studded leather+1 and it's now useless throughout the game. Fiendish Vigor is also a trap. Many spells and abilities give you temporary hit points and they don't stack. Any fiend warlock gets dark one's blessing which is 4hp and often goes off repeatedly during a battle. Armor of Agathys (a great non-concentration spell) generally makes this useless as does heroism and other sources. Polymorph is also not a touch spell. Range is 18m. That said, it's a weak vs. so many other spells which don't require an invocation -- hold person, confusion, banishment, etc.

Destroy Droid is the only way for a Light Side character to deal with the Jedi pods in the Malak final fight. Otherwise you have to fight Malak multiple times, since he heals to full each time you bring him down if there is still a Jedi he can drain. On the other hand, Dark Side can lightning or drain life the Jedi.

I'm about to make a full on minion build, force powers only, let my 2 companions deal melee damage. Like max charisma, force powers only, dump strength, dex, and int, full force baby lol

Thanks for this! Doubt I'd still be playing this game without help like this. Gotta love when CG adds these battles that can really just boil down to RNG, and then make you have to finish them multiple times. Not like CG has ulterior motives and wants you to fail often, or anything...

Could you make an influence guide on what the people you gain influence with actually give you. For example, Atton gives you +1 will saves eventually. Visas gives you Force Sight. What do the others give you once you unlock everything? As you have mentioned in this video and others, characters can steal influence from others. And is it worth gaining influence with others? For Mira, after you convert her (or not) do you need to gain any more influence with her?
