Confession time! I only had one day this week to work on youtube videos, and at that time the Felwinter quest was still bugged. So, I read the leaks about Felwinter to make this video and hoped that when the bug was fixed the video was still accurate! Turns out the leaks were exact. HOWEVER, there is one thing that I did not cover because it was not released until people actually had Felwinter’s Lie. Please go and read the lore tab for Felwinter’s Lie! It is really good.
It's ok Myelin. Bungie is also having a hard time, it's more common than you think when it comes to Destiny right now. Everyone is struggiling.
There's soo many holes in the lore and actions that's solved with common sense to take, like: why not put siva in warsats to deconstruct the almighty to a macular level.
Soo many actions could of been taken that possesses high yield of resolution to the issue, we always take the smallest route, why? Is it because he have immense tunnel vision? I don't know in the end... but it dose make me feel, small and inrelavent to my presennce.
And why aren't actively trying to improve the last city? It's still in shambles, and yet we just defend. Like having no medic for the VIP.
We should ask respution to move in with us XD ( the last city )
00a I will try it and let it out and send out
My reading and understanding was that Felwinter's Lie was that he felt he knew Rasputin and could convince him to let SIVA be used to help humanity rebuild, rather than not letting on that he was the AI exo that Clovis Bray used to back up Rasputin pre-collapse
Felwinter: "Hey dad, I got you a present".
Rasputin: *Angry Russian*
Felwinter: "it's a mug that says Russia's Greatest War Machine".
Rasputin: ...
Rasputin: ...
Rasputin: ...
Felwinter: "hey dad, what's that red and black stuff".
Underrated
@@Sin526 And so sad... 😢
Smash, smash, smash, child is crushed by warminds
Rasputin: We don't do that here..
The man, the myth, the legend, Lord Felwinter, heir to the Seven Seraph's, son of Rasputin, the Iron enforcer, and finder of irons bane.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now a husk of dead SIVA, thanks rasputin.
nice
Spoiler: Rasputin can always re"surrect" Felwinter.
You mean reconstruct
Spoilers *Gamma still painted on his days off because he was weak*
_Dammit!_
Hey Gamma! Some advice for the future, in the book of Sorrow, they briefly talk about a collective of species known as the Ecumene, which were extriminated by the Hive after Oryx took their best warriors. I know it is your art and your choices, but if you read the verses of the Book of Sorrow that come from the perspective of the Ecumene, they come off very...cold and disturbing, so, if you ever want to depict them, why not draw them as creepy space-cyborgs? Just an idea from what I picked up on from the Book of Sorrow.
*You had ONE job to not do!*
I knew it!! Lol
Imposible....
After this quest line, I'm getting the feeling that Osiris's accusations at Rasputin's treachery at the end of last season weren't about the possibility of Rasputin having attacked the Traveler during the Collapse like many thought. Likely, it was in response to learning that the Iron Lords didn't die from their own mistake and or hubris in the pursuit of SIVA. That Rasputin deliberately led the Iron Lords into a trap with the intent of murdering them with the technology they sought to claim and that he alone controlled.
Makes sense to me
yup you are correct
Well he also killed hundreds of innocent people to get one person but I dont think osiris knew about that.
Osiris was talking about current events in the cutscene, but good theory
SIVA was never some corrupted nanotechnology. Rasputin was the instigator of it being dangerous. But I understand the warmind to a certain degree. The collapse was traumatizing. Than suddenly, a sacred protocol from your mainframe becomes supernaturally active. And rogue. Rasputin probably viewed Felwinter like a virus.
"The Vanguard still believes Rasputin to be a simple Warmind. He hasn't been that for a very long time." - Lord Saladin
truer words have never been spoken by saladin
I disagree on one point. I don’t think Rasputin had the emotion until after absorbing felwinter. Until that point he was acting on protocol and efficiency. Hence why afterwards he saw how evil he was and didn’t know before
I sort of agree with you. Each seraph exo shared the knowledge of Rasputen. I think Felwinter was a breech of security. He had to get rid of Felwinter. If Felwinter ever recovered his memory, he would eventually possibly match Rasputen.
I agree with both of u i think he couldnt get in contact and then desided if he got in the wrong hands it could be really bad is y i think he went after him then after killing him all his nowledge downloaded and he felt emotion and look at what he did and it upset him self and him sharing thing this with us was his way of coming to terms with it
I think Felwinter was a security risk to Rasputin. That's why I think he told Siva to IMMUNIZE the threat.
I'm thinking maybe before being raised as a guardian, Felwinter was destroyed by the Fallen. Since he was offline, he was of no concern to Rasputin. Then, the collapse happened, the Traveler created the ghosts, Felwinter was raised as a guardian, and showed up on Rasputin's network. When he tried to investigate and reconnect, he failed, and deemed Felwinter as Rouge, with all his knowledge of humanity, and decided to eliminate it.
Then, in his grief over his actions, put himself offline, to 'survive the collapse' and left a submind active, which is what we encounter in D1.
The only fact I need to find before thinking this is 100%, is when the Fallen showed up in the system looking for the Traveler. I thought it was right before the Collapse, or the initial theory as to why the collapse happened.
That's kind of the point though isn't it? The actual mechanics of the transfer of state, in that moment of learning, are actually irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, what is important, is that it happened, and the consequence.
In the entry, Rasputin is using a piece of human literature, to explain to us, what change has occured, in a way that we can not only understand, but can relate to. That he uses Ivan the Terrible, to explain his change of state, isn't just proof the change of state has occured, but also that he fully appreciates what he was before, and what he has become.
Probably worth noting, rasputin remember every little detail, of every action. Its 1 thing to realise you have been a bad person, and feel remorseful, but to be able to recall it all as if its just happened, and in an instance? I imagine the weight of that burden alone, is very much the driving force of his conviction, and need, to not fail humanity.
Destiny 1 Rasputin: *Cosmic lovecraftian Skynet Russian AI God who could cause genocide at any moment*
Destiny 2 Rasputin: "Robot Russian Ivan the Terrible killed his son, big sad."
This is a pretty shallow reading. Why can't he be both? I'm not convinced he's our ally.
@@kylemccormack1785 Bungie sure seems convinced. His moral-grey shifty personality seems all but gone.
@@jakespacepiratee3740 damn Ana taught him actual ethics.
Consistency? In Destiny? HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
@@CrewComedy Why are you here listening to Destiny lore if you hate the game? You seem to only say negative things.
Not sure if they had this whole storyline thought out at the time, but it finally gives more context to the phrase "they still think Rasputin is JUST a Warmind."
It's funny really, because when you think about it Rasputin's jealousy and killing of Felwinter is like a toddler having a tantrum. Humans are able to develop their emotions and are able to learn to keep them in check over years of interacting with other people, and being taught what's right and wrong.
Rasputin however didn't have that - the collapse happened and there was nobody to keep him in check, and so when he had these newfound emotions and saw Felwinter had gone AWOL he acted as any toddler would - he had a tantrum.
Only there was nobody to control his tantrum, no way to tell him that he could've handled it differently. Imaging putting a toddler in a room with button for a nuclear missile. Now imagine someone steals their favourite toy and the toddler is told that the button will stop the person so they can get their toy back, of course they're gonna press it - that's essentially Rasputin.
Only now has he developed his mind enough to realise that he was wrong, and I believe he's telling us because he truly wants to atone for his mistakes and protect humanity together with the Guardians! Honestly I can't wait to really see what he brings to the table against the Darkness - from some of the weapons he's described we're in for a hell of a war.
He also is probably feeling remorse for all those innocent people he killed
@@killtheheretics2915 oh absolutely - if I remember rightly he killed _hundreds_ of Iron Lords just to get to Felwinter didn't he?
Speaking of Rasputin as a toddler is a bit too much for me still...
For example a meticulously planned out death trap being a tantrum just somehow doesn't resonate with me 🙃
@@Balazs_ I would intetpret the toddler side of the equation to mean his ability to emotionally, rationally and humanely analyse the situation, as he hadnt developed the ability to consider what he wad affecting beyond his single focus, he wanted his toy back, and being a multi world super computer he was able to devise a plan to get what he wanted
@@koshie1293 exactly. His thinking was linear - get Felwinter back whatever the cost. It even started off as _more_ of a tantrum, with him just throwing Warsats and Frames at him with no consideration.
Even when his plans got more complicated (as you would expect from a system spanning AI designed _specifically_ for war on multiple fronts), culminating in the SIVA plan, they were still executed with nothing but his singular desire to "get his toy back".
This is a great video, and honestly great storytelling. It gives Rasputin so much more depth. Between him revealing to Zavala that he’s afraid to fail a second time, and telling Ana and us the story of this great mistake, I think Rasputin is becoming one of the most interesting Destiny characters/entities.
It all seems pretty damn sad.
Seems like the Old Tyrant learned enough from Humanity to make The Mistake, but did Not learn enough in time to recognize the mistake until after the fact.
I wonder what might have happened had Rasputin sent out another frame to talk? To send out a pen, and not a hammer.
That last bit would've worked way better if you had said sword instead of hammer.
slightly right slightly wrong the machine knowledge made the 'mistake' it saw felwinters guardianhood as a virus ready to infect the system, its why he commanded siva to 'immunize'
@@thunderborn3231 he explained his reasoning was "if I can't have my son then no one shall" - that was his reason, and that reason isn't rational or just about a "threat". The "why" has to exist before the results of him killing felwinter. He was emotional - before he acted to kill him.
We just gonna ignore Myelin trickshotting a phalanx at 4:45
MLG 360 NO SCOPE!!!!
It's just a no scope ??
I'll ignore the trick shot air ball at 0:30 though.
I like to think that Rasputin weeping may have been a sign that through siva Rasputin was able to down load the memory and knowledge of felwinter and that may have been the finale lesson for Rasputin to become fully sentient and understand why felwinter did what he did. This would also explain why Rasputin let us in to site 6. To put felwinter to rest
Sci-fi Tales agreed
4:44 that jump shot no scope was satisfying to watch 😂😂
The Story of an A.I. In most cases thought of as a simple machine. Originally built as a overseer and a organizer, changed to a soldier and commander through Clovis Bray, and developed a relationship with one specific exo to help him both of them develop. As a threat came he became a Tyrant, and through his loss, and failure he became cold and closed off. Then the exo returned but changed and had no care for the father only for the people. Anger grew and he betrayed the son promising him and his new order hope and greatness, and in an instant of rage he unleashed a plague and killed the order and the son, only to regret his choice. Years go by and he begins opening up as one of his family returns. As he learns and grows around these new beings who return to help him despite his hatred, he opens himself more, seeing his mistake he made against his son. As the new beings being to grow he sees the species he was designed to protect, and as the great machine awakens, he feels what took everything from him, awaken as well. The Fear returns, but now instead of a Tyrant, he has remembered what he was. A helper turned protector, and as his enemy comes back old rivalries with the new beings die, as only together they stand a chance. Now he prepares with the new beings and his returned family member, for the war to come. Now in his Fear, instead of a tyrant, he remembers what he was meant to be, a protector. A Guardian. And he will do anything he has to, in order to protect humanity.
Ok. Rasputin has learned from his actions regarding Felwinter, and the iron lords. But where does that leave SIVA. It was never corrupted technology. It would be a very resourceful utility, as far as the coming doom. Or rebuilding our tower. So will SIVA play a part in the unfolding narrative?
When we reach the conclusion of the felwinter lie quest and the bunker opens, we receive this dialogue from Rasputin. It says, RAID SHADOW LEGENDS
So Rasputin giving us Felwinters Shotgun is him asking for forgiveness or seeing his Son in our Guardian. At least that’s my understanding of it all but then how does Saladin react to this revelation? He and his comrades was used as bait, we have armed Rasputin. Is he not furious at that? This is a narrative that on paper sounds like some we as players are going to feel should the day come when Uldrin becomes the Hunter Vanguard. Hmmmm
Remember when everyone thought Cayde was Rasputin reincarnated RIP Cayde
It'd be interesting to see if they add some dialogue to Saladin acknowledging what Rasputin did next time he's in the Tower
Rasputin’s conscious came from a human. He is a transformed and evolved new conscious.
No
So basically he had the mind of a teenager
Not an insult, he acts on emotions and those emotions are strong and he has only just started to grow from experience
Felwinter: Hey dad, can i go and make some friends?
Rasputin: *No*
Is this what Osiris saw in the forest? That made him say he was a murderer? And a traitor?
I’d put money on that.
I just finished this quest today! Timing could not have been better lol.
What quest is it?
Sullen 91 The Lie
Wept, I'm just excited that out of all the unfinished story we have finally been given something. Good job
I hadn’t really taken in what the implication of the tyrant weeping were until this video. Awesome insight.
So our warmind is a Geth now ? Lol I guess he's legion now 😂"Sheppard Commander does this unit have a soul ?"
Let's hope he just doesn't get the same in-canon ending. (Annihilated in a robot-genociding red lazer across the entire galaxy)
Back in D1, I was always curious as to why Rasputin killed the Iron Lords and always had a hunch that was only half the story. I just wish Saladin played a part in this season. Like have Sal and Zavala butt heads over the situation. Everytime Bungie does something interesting like this kind of story, they always leave something else out that would have made it incredible. Bungie better make the fall DLC worth every Second and Dime. Go all out! Tell the stories that we soooo want to hear and to know. Stop holding back.
Love the lore content! It is one thing that over the years I have lost the time for researching myself. I used to read all the grimoire from D1
How juicy is the story of Rasputin becoming...on the one hand you are happy to know that he has evolved way past the expectations of even the Brays, (maybe not Zavala?), yet we now realise just how serious Osiris's label of "betrayer" was. Killing all of those Iron Lords just to get to his son.
Great question at the end there!
simply said: Rasputin was scared, there was an exo running around that had access to everything rasputin is.
Also explains why rasputin went dark until the events of d1
This lore gives me new insight into the formless one, who takes the form of a great ogre at the offering of a dead king..... the darkness is closer than we thought....
I think its really interesting that its Siddartha Golem - Golem being the Jewish man made of clay & Siddartha, the Buddha, who left his father & kingdom to go experience the world -
Did you get that from My Name is Byf?
Gammatrap really be working out here
With the darkness coming I wonder what it would look like
Is it just me, but was Ana completely oblivious to his crimes against humanity? I know we should rely on him for the almighty, but she was like "When did he get so sentimental?" As if she didn't just hear, directly from himself, that he freaking killed a Guardian?
Not just Felwinter, but Felspring, the iron lords, WASN'T SHE AN IRON LORD or like idk she's crazy weird to me.
Uh Ana was not an iron lord lol
I think it’s an interesting concept that Rasputin actually is upset at the death of Felwinter as well as finally understanding that Felwinter was fighting with a good intention. Well this is if we are to believe Rasputin’s rendition of the tyrant and his son parable
This kinda makes me think back to the lore about Rasputin thinking about attacking the Traveler so it can't flee. Maybe it was less he had lost his son, but more so lost him to the Traveler.
Interesting...
Random thought, it took Siva to kill Felwinter...how did the greatest AI to ever exist not realize he just needed to kill his ghost before killing him normally again? Surely Rasputin should have seen that happen to other light bearers during the dark age, or witnessed Felspring rez Felwinter at least once. In that case, I kinda gotta side with Saladin in his hatred of Rasputin for wiping out his fellow Iron Lords along with Felwinter.
I feel like Rasputin definitely was acting on emotion and protocol. The machine part of him might have thought of felwinter as a rogue mind that must be stopped. Whereas emotional Rasputin may have been jealous
Developing emotion for a machine without learning how to deal with the highs and lows could be extremely dangerous. We enabled and helped build back his defenses and his ability to strike what checks are in place to prevent him from using that against us. Lets say he again sees the Traveler as the threat as it is what is drawing the darkness in so why not use it to blow it up. This is going to end bad again as we have been baited now a second time.
I don’t think razz cared about other Iron Lords, he just wanted fellwinter... the other iron lords was just caught in the crossfire.
I think that if it really was based on emotion, maybe he didn't care about them, but saw a chance in that moment to wipe out not only his son but the people who stole him. It may have just been a win win
Disagree Rasputin was illogical.... at first. Look at it from Rasputin's perspective when Felwinter rezzes in the library. You have an exceptionally powerful asset that not only isn't responding to commands, it appears to be completely disconnected from your network. Rasputin's network is everything to him, it's his life's blood. What if this rogue asset can produce intelligence harmful to Rasputin and deliver it to enemies, old or new? This is an existential threat.
It becomes illogical after CENTURIES of observation. Felwinter does not have access, intrinsically, to those bits of intel. He must win them back a scrap at a time. Rasputin clearly learns or deduces this, leading him to plant the SIVA info. *That* was the illogical step. Why not initiate conversation, even if through a third party?
The alternative story would/could be RAS (Rasputin) creating a -second- SIDDHATHRA with a more direct imprint of his mind - a compacted version of his entire conscious with an underlying directive to reconnect to RAS which would compel him - even if rezz'd - to return to Rasputin and reconnect, allowing RAS to effectively become a Guardian.
This story element could be widened to Rasputin studying the destroyed Ghosts and - after contacting Asher about artificial Light - he manages to 'resurrect' the Iron Lords he killed using a refined SIVA method that employs the artificial Light.
But at a cost; they're all stuck as Exos, and all have missing memories - and their powers are synthesized by artificial Light and SIVA, their new SIVA-based Ghosts being improvised entities built by Rasputin.
Rasputin would follow up on the success of this experiment by resurrecting Aksis in much the same way, distorting Aksis into the first Eliksni-Exo to ever exist, and rewriting his mind with new orders, which inadvertently lead Aksis-2 to Mithrax and end up pledging himself to House Light with the promise of inventing a way to create synthetic, Light-infused Ether which could give Bungie the creative opening to allow a 4th character slot for Eliksni Guardians.
Koldraxon Of the First Seven dayum, that’s pretty well thought out honestly.
Great pickup on the AMPHION LYRE portion! The writers are so deliberate with what they choose to say and how when it comes to the lore and I thought that was super interesting! There's also the connection that instead of Humanity being the ones that charmed it, it was Rasputin himself as he likes to leave messages coded for us in music a la the "Arecibo" adventure on Io!
The lore tab in the Obsidian Wings ship, has a quick conversation between Felwinter and has ghost. It's interesting in that speaks to their "State of Mind".
And the Warmind developed emotions you say! Thats one hell of a double edge sword.
Love this!! Thank you so much for doing this! I love hearing the lore but have a tough time getting through the lore bits in the game and since I didn’t play D1, I have a tough time tying everything together. Thank you so much for doing this. Makes the game so much deeper!! 😊❤️
Beautiful. I love how rasputin is so human. No mear machine
I love the lore, still working on the shotty. This stuff keeps me interested in the game. You and byf need to be the readers of in-game lore and paid by bungie. Would make cut scenes and new lore entries better.
Let’s not forget that Felwinter had a direct connection to Rasputin, hence his easy access to Warmind tech.
Felwinter was also a MASSIVE security risk to Rasputin, and he was revived as a puppet of the Traveler, the entity Rasputin had an intense paranoia of. Is it any surprise Rasputin was willing to slaughter an army of Iron Lords?
Since we're technically the second coming of the Iron Wolves, I wonder how this newfound knowledge will affect our relationship with Lord Saladin and how guardians in general will react to Rasputin.
So cool! Crazy how some of the emotions that Rasputin learns about from Felwinter/SIDDHARTHA GOLEM'S excursion are the same ones that he would ultimately use to pull this off. And honestly Rasputin's programming to be a savior for humanity has to be what caused Felwinter to search so hard for SIVA after his meetings with the lady on the mountain.
Perfectly Balanced..... as all things should be😁. Great Job!!
*Fun Fact:* The last line "he looked upon his tyranny and wept" was one of the last things that Stalin said on his death bed after what he did to Russia
@Myelin Games. Given how Rasputin acting on his emotions resulted in the death of the Iron Lords. How different do you think major events in destiny could've been if the Iron Lords never fell.
The end of this story arc, even just as text lore, is more satisfying than Westworld season 3 - the mysterious AI stuff / machines-learning-emotions theme kept me thinking about the similarities time and again.
I feel like bungie could really find a way to incorporate siva into the last city and into guardians to give them an edge against the darkness. Sounds somewhat plausible
Well covered mylin, great video as always
"A huge database of literature"... I guess that's why he died (and was resurrected) in a library.
Felwinter lied
People died
And Guardians cried
Really great stuff. Rasputin discovers Envy, and reshapes his "humanity."
Did you win?
Yes.
What did it cost?
Everything.
Wept. Great Rasputen shows more character development then we do.
I imagine that the feelings the golem collected weren't transferred to Rasputin in real-time or anything. It's likely that it was supposed to return to transplant the knowledge and feelings it had gained but it never could because of the collapse, then when it died and was resurrected all those feelings were locked away and its built-in protocols were erased. Felwinter kept gaining feeling, emotion, duty, but Rasputin's protocol told him to gain the knowledge of the golem by any means necessary. So when he finally killed him and the knowledge transferred over, he wept at his mistake.
Rasputin has hated guardians and the traveler for a long time since. The light stole his son from him and he was petty about it. When Ana returned to him in Warmind and guardians were the ones to protect him then he loosened up a bit, and it's taken until now with Ana and Big Red working behind the scenes for Rasputin to allow himself to be vulnerable and try to make a friend in us.
It's too hard for us to imagine the responsibility on Rasputin's shoulders or to understand what he is and is not capable of. He's not perfect. He can't just give us everything we need to fight against the darkness on his own. We need each other if we're going to survive.
Destiny 2 post Forsaken has been about gaining allies and rebuilding lost relationships. The Awoken, The House of Light, Ada, Drifter, Calus, Eris, Osiris, Saint-14, and now Rasputin. We've never been stronger. The Red Legion is finally gone for good with absolutely no resources left at their disposal. The Hive have gotten beaten at every opportunity. The Fallen houses are in disarray and many are being brought into our fold in secret. We're building an orbital defense network. I trust our friends. I can't wait to meet our enemies....
...But man have I been bored this season, lol!
I kind of look at it like Terminator 2 at the end, “I now know why you cry”. Sure Ras could define emotion but couldn’t show it or understand it. I think it knowing now, it integrates with its programming of protecting humanity at any cost. We aren’t necessarily humanity to Ras, we have risen above that being paracausal. Ras is using guardians as an extension. It is figuring us guardians into its protocol.
Gratz on 200K mate
*He did it for the meme. Gotta respecc*
Also...200k subs! Congrats!
Thanks for the content brodah
I saw the gameplay and thought that the week that I didn’t play, they added a new crazy mission like Whisper or Zero hour
All I can think of once I read all of this is of the painting Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan. I saw this painting in person before, and it was the first and (so far) last artwork to make me cry. The realization and the dread that is so palpable in Ivan the Terrible's eyes in the painting is gut wrenching.
For the Golden Age being such a time of peace and prosperity, there sure was a hell of a lot of weapons development and manufacturing. What were they making so many guns for?
Cities of peace are encircled in spears
so rasputin killed felwinter because he was resurrected as a guardian which is why it said the golem went “rogue”
i didn't realize the most important thing bungie is teasing until i see your video, that is " rasputin has emotions"
if a warmind has emotion and has the ability to act according to it, then there will be a chance that something happens triggering it's betrayal
Congrats on reaching 200k subs
I can't even watch these videos the same after watching your streams. We need box cam in the yt vids too myelin
This lore clearly shows that Rasputin doesn't know that when your made a guardian your memory is wiped and before that fellwinter knew secrets that Rasputin didn't want known so he hunted him to make sure no one learns his secrets
HAPPY 200k!!!!
I wonder perhaps if some of Rasputin's 'jealousy' relates to what he claimed that he learned from the Darkness and the events of the Collapse. The need to martial ones strength, perhaps? The need to be independent of [0]? The latter would explain why SIDDHARTHA GOLEM becoming a Guardian prompts such an extreme reaction from Big Red.
I thought I wanted more lore told in game but... those lines, that delivery, all over radio... maybe Bungie can't do it lmao
Raspy is Hal9000, we are Dave and hes gonna start singing Daisy to us.
To answer the question at 12:20. It was VERY GOOD THING. Why? We got a really good raid called wrath of the machine :D
Great Video! Makes perfect sense now... 🤔
If only we could go into the past and bring back the iron lords like saint 14
Rasputin went from a Ai to a Stand user
Wow! Awesome stuff. Thank you.
Myelin, I don't know if it's emotional like that purely, but I think it WAS logical. The Golem was linked to Rasputin and had intimate knowledge of the Warmind. If that knowledge fell into the wrong hands, it could be a weakness for Rasputin, they could Trojan horse their way into him.
I think Rasputin killed Felwinter more to eradicate the possibility of the Golem's link with Rasputin from becoming a weakness and a weapon. That's why I think he told the Siva to " IMMUNIZE". He was immunizing a weakness.
I think in the decades or centuries since, he has seen that having a guardian so close to him /COULD/ have been a good thing, as both are wanting to protect humanity, and is remorseful over loosing perhaps the greatest chance he ever had of actually understanding guardians, and paracausallity is not something he can perfectly replicate.
Rasputin shooting down the Traveler during the Collapse is starting to become the more viable option as to why that darn moon is still here. Maybe Rasputin in his endless calculations made a rushed decision and acted on self preservation or fear
Damn I feel sad for Rasputin.
Rasputin still killed hundreds of badass Iron Lords, and corrupted them beyond recognition with SIVA, so don't feel too sorry for him.
11:03
This is no answer... Every emotions has a reason behind it!
Why he thought that he lost his son? Is it because he had lost control over it when it awoke as a guardian? He didn't lost it, he only lost control over it and immediately switched to murder mode... Why didn't he tried to contact or get it back in control first?
9:02 recover and destruction are not the same thing... As soon as Felwinter was awake by his ghost for the first time Rasputin was already throwing warsats at his head...
And why was it dead to begin with?
And how a ghost can revive a machine that never had a "living mind"? Rasputin putted himself/a program he made into that Exo body and Rasputin is a AI not a living mind. Has it ever happened before? Because if not this is a good new info about the Traveler/Ghost powers.
Brilliant as usual.!!!
Another great video, only thing is I can't watch them without picturing you speaking from inside your tiny "sound booth" hahaha
This whole time it was just based off emotion... crazy
lol, thought i saw a dorrito for a second 3:05
... Hitting your head against a light pole because you wouldn't take your eyes off a smartphone is a mistake, killing "your son" it's more than a mistake.
Rasputin's emotions are going to lead to his rampancy before his salvation.
Goddamn that was some good lore. Rasputin was a yandere but Big Red is a big softy now.
But seriously, "And the tyrant looked upon his tyranny and wept."
Such a good emotional quote, but I still wonder if Felwinter was the Seventh Seraph
didnt saladin or someone in destiny 1 said, the vanguard believe rasputin to be a simple warming, he hasnt been that for a long time
Rasputin sent Felwinter to die for our sins. All praise Felwinter the holy lamb.
