    Thanks for the video man I’m looking to pick this bad boy up would you say good for squirrels? What about raccoons or skunks

      Head shots for coons and groundhogs. Fox, bobcat, and coyote also, with maybe a heavier pellet. I have not tried slugs. They are more powerful, but some PCPs won't shoot them accurately. Cleaning barrel out of the box critical for getting the best accuracy. Good luck.

      @@Kurtdog63I’ve read online it doesn’t come with everything to fill up the air rifle out of the box what all will you need?

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  7 місяців тому +1

      It comes with the fill probe adapter. I bought the Hatsan hand pump. This PCP doesn't have a large air tank so once you get it up in the green on the gauge it works pretty well. At some point, may consider an electric pump and maybe an air tank. @@destineeschmidt9631

      @@Kurtdog63 do u think.the .25 version of this gun will take out a coyote?

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  4 місяці тому +2

      @@MeNow-ek4ktI am planning to test out .22 on a coyote. I just sighted in for 25.39 grain JSB Jumbo Monster pellets. That is an extremely heavy pellet for a .22 but standard weight for a .25 caliber. Guessing head shot the best aiming spot. Might get the .35 caliber Carnivore at some point for medium size game body shots.

    My new Hatsan Flash QE came with an empty cylinder. My hand pump is not filling it up at all. The hand pump is working,I pressure tested it,but it’s not filling up the cylinder. Any suggestions?

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  3 місяці тому

      I think you can fill it from either side. Make sure the probe is firmly seated. Maybe not quite far enough in?

    • @ElHoosier24
      @ElHoosier24 3 місяці тому +1

      I’ll try it from the other side. Hopefully that’s the trick.
      Thank you for making the video it is helpful and for the response.

    Did you clean the barrel? Preservative gunk in there will affect accuracy too. Never use anything metal to clean an airgun barrel

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  Рік тому +1

      I have not cleaned the barrel. I guess just run patches thru it? Do you use a certain kind of cleaner?

    • @bfree6197
      @bfree6197 Рік тому +1

      @Kurtdog63 Ballistol is what most people use and recommend. It's safe for the o rings... gun cleaner isn't. Their's videos on just about anything Hatsan you can think of. Patchworm is one brand... it's basically weedeater line that you pull through with a patch. Their's a cord/ rope type too. Clean in the direction of pellet travel.
      Removing the qe shroud and baffles is the best way to do it. Cleaning patches and feeding line through will hang up in the baffles. Inserting a drinking straw can help.
      I've taken all of mine apart. Unscrew end cap, take baffles out and keep them in exact order (4, I think). Down inside shroud... end of barrel is a 9/16, 14mm nut. Remove it and qe shroud should slide off. Pay attention to the orientation of the shroud, usually a flat surface towards air cylinder. Inspect silencer baffles for metal burrs... most of mine need cleaning up. It can help with accuracy and silence.
      Flash & Pup will have same cocking effort.. same gun different stock. I recently got a Umarex Notos. Almost 2 lbs lighter than Flash. Not as powerful but a little more than your break barrel... its compact. 22 good shots and air tank is under half the size of Flash

    How many pumps relatively will be needed to get to the right amount of pressure.

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  Місяць тому

      I haven't shot it till empty but if I remember, takes about 50-60 pumps to get it to the bottom of the green on the pressure gauge, then about 50 more to get it way up in the green. I eventually plan to buy other pcp's and get an electric pump.

    Do you think I would be able to take out a coyote with this?

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  3 місяці тому +1

      Heavy pellet head shot. Probably not enough shock for lung shot. Could try it I guess. You can up the power some by tightening the hammer spring but I have not experimented with that.

    Another paper shooter . . Paper killer . . . Does anyone shoot something other than these paper shooters. . . I wouldn't waste my money buying an air gun if I couldn't do nothing but shoot paper with it .

    haha well looks like its just you and me big dog,im after my first pcp gun too,hell i even have a same body style z71 as you,im 53 yrs old and looking to spend more money than i would like on a pcp riffle hell a couple hundred more and i could buy a pistol,a real gun haha oh well,so do you think that gun could take out a rat or pigeon sized bird without a problem bud ? thanks,i dread reading the instructions too

    • @Kurtdog63
      @Kurtdog63  Рік тому

      Yes, plenty of power for birds I would experiment with some type of hollow point or expandable so better energy dump, domed pellets tend shoot pinholes through them. Domed pellets work fine on small birds, but on bigger stuff, need an expandable pallet the JSB Hades, are a good choice based on reviews. I am trying the HNN barracuda, hunter extremes.
