When I got mine in .22, it was shooting 860 fps, 23 fpe. From there I backed it out 3 full turns. It went to 934 fps and 27 fpe. Still wanted a bit more, I bought this gun advertised as 38 fpe. So I backed it out another 1.5 full turns. It went to 987 fps, 31 fpe. Perfect. Shoots super accurate. Sound went up a bit, but I got a buck rail coming, should be quiet. Will add 5 or 6 " but worth it.
I love all of the Hatsan guns in this platform! Although I'm partial to the .22 caliber ones, because of the higher shot count. The .25's are good though. I have a .25 Wood Flashpup, and a .22 Flashwood. I get about 22 or so full power shots on the .25 Wood Flashpup, and 48 full power 880-900 fps with the Flashwood .22 Check out Ken's video series for the Hatsan Vectis on Airguns and Pesting Channel. The one thing I learned from that is to remove the spacer that is in back of the hammer spring on guns in this platform. It is completely un necessary. My flashwood .22 out of the box was shooting 15.89 JSB Hades at 1100 fps. A complete waste of air and terribly inaccurate! I ditched that bushing and turned down the hammer spring to get 4 magazines, or 48 shots with the Hades at 880-850 fps with pretty much hole in hole accuracy! This gun is now my favorite hunting gun. Super accurate, and it hits like a hammer! A perfect small game and bird gun!
If the fill adapter that came with gun isn’t fitting I would contact Hatsan USA through the web site. I’ve had good response time in getting answers but I know others who’ve said it’s not been easy getting a reply.

So after adjusting the hammerspring shooting 900+ feet per second what was it shooting before the adjustment?
I was able to get 903 fps on my Chrony but that was shooting Hatsan Vortex 19.9 gr pellets, really light weight for a .25 pellet.
