A scientist with an ordinary man’s approach. You have taught me so many things. You do this with no pretense. A polished production company could not do better. Great work!
You do a very good job of covering topics that almost no other UA-cam channels think of.
Can you fill your SCBA bottle with that same compressor as long as you break it up into multiple sessions to allow the pump to cool?
following
Not the compressor shown, it cant handle the volume output to fill the 4500psi 30min scba
Very , very informative my man! Thank you for this!
I used to hand-pump just before air rifling, whereas with a compressor I always fill just after shooting. Nice shooting by the way.
Wow that gun is super accurate!! Thanks for a good video!
How many fills do you get from the tank using the Air Venturi Avenger rifle in 22? I was thinking of getting the largest tank....94 or 98....
I just bought my first pcp air rifle is it a trick on getting it to fill up cause I've tried hand pumps compressor and I can't get it to air up
I don't know in my opinion and I haven't tested this. Filling up with the compressor versus the SCBA bottle both of them heat the tank up when you fill. So in order to confirm this experiment you need to do it over and put a temperature laser pointer on the pressure tube after feeling both ways and see if the temperature is higher with the compressor versus with the SCBA bottle.. I'm not arguing your point it is valid I see where you're coming from. Just thought I would throw in my thoughts and see what you think. 😀😀😀😀🙏
Thanks Mitch!
I notes you only fill to 3000 psi on the avenger is there a reason you don't go to the actual full pressure of 4350 curious if it makes a difference in performance
Bro. Cool stuff to know to a rookie like me.
How many fills do you get from your tank? My PCP (Urban) has a 105 CC cylinder.
Thanks mang!
The knowledge and wisdom you share is priceless, especially to a new air gunner like me. I appreciate your humbled approach in your videos...
thanks!
Thank you!
Hello sir,
Which gun is accurated?
Walther rotex R8 Or air ventury avenger?
Reply plz,
I am waiting for your reply.
Nice lesson James. Thanks for the info and great shooting as usual!
Is the quick connect 8mm hand pump fitting on this pump fit in my 7mm aea challenger fill probe ?
Should
I appreciate this information. Assuming I only needed a few magazines worth of shots (hunting scenario), Would you agree that if I filled the night before the air would have time to cool down and get back to tighter groupings?
It should be fine! Hope this helps thanks
Appreciate the input and response. 🤙
Can i use a regular construction air compressor that is normally used for brad nailers and what not?
No, has to be PCP/HPA compressor specified which go up to 5000psi
Question, useing any bottle I start to fill and it just stops. Won't fill. I can totally fill useing my electric compressor. Why
Newbie here.
How long does it take to fill the rifle from the tank or compressor. I couldn't tell. 30 seconds?
Also, after the fill, you fired off to blank shots?
Bottle is quicker usually, compressor can take minutes...I dry fire after filling due to temperature difference in the air to reset the regulator in my gun
Dont these guns fill to 4300psi?
I just started with a yong heng. My take is that you always depressurize the gun before refilling so you don`t burn up the compressor?
No, doing that you'll have to run the compressor much longer and that's going to heat it up even more.
Best way is to hook it all up and keep the bleed screw on the compressor open until after you've powered up the compressor. Wait a couple of seconds and then close the bleeder and top off your gun. That way, it's not going to run as long, there'll be less heat and although you should already have an inline filter, there should be less moisture in the air since the air will be cooler.
My compressor is supposed to be good up to 80 deg C, but I've never had to run it long enough to put it over about 35 degrees.
@@007tallguy good info, thanks. what's the issue with not using a filter? long-term water damage to internals, I guess?
Hey there, just bought a Hatsan Flash QE .25 caliber, for some reason it doesn't seem to want to take air at all? Like my other Umarex Origin .22 caliber. I ordered a electric air pump but haven't received it yet, so I'm using a Vevor hand pump for now. Any ideas why this brand new Hatsan Flash QE won't take air at all? Let me know? Thanks
Hopefully it's something simple, like the hammer being cocked, fill probe issue, degas screw
Forgive the noob question but can one use their HPA compressor to fill the SCBA tank; thus, mitigating the need to have it filled at an air supplier? Or is there a steep cost to buy the adapter gear or necessary regulator manifolds (hypothesizing here as I do not know what is required if this is even doable)?
Yes as long as the air compressor is capable with volume output, I use Yong heng to fill scba 30min tank, the smaller compressor like shown are rated only for 200-300cc of fill where that is fine for air cylinders on most guns...the equipment needed for hookup can range from $60ish to $100s...I use the Stikman adapter with longer whip
I'm not sure why anyone would think there would be a difference..... I mean you can compare a gallon of water to a gallon of water and in the end it's just a gallon of water.....
So, since you sell the gx pump in the store do you recommend it? Longevity? Ease of use?
I live in California, it’s always the same temp inside and outside 😂😂
Awesome video in my opinion air compressor like that small portable can ruin a gun if you do not keep the air cool from the compressor it hot it can ruin 0rings and seals in my experience if you don't have cooler air it happened to me thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Thanks! definitely watch for my next upload, I'm opening a can of worms on the budget air compressors lol
@@STKO2011 lol cool 😎
Not one person is talking about filing to 300 bar which is RIFLES DESIRED PRESSURE
To keep cheap compressors cool run for ten minutes at a time and allow to cool.
Guud review for knowledge a$ usual! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks J
What you think is better ?! Gauntlet 2 or the avenger ???
Great information as always BB king, keep on TCB!
Thanks!
@@STKO2011 no thank you, for giving out a lot of information in your videos.
its hilarious the design forces you to almost look down the barrel to fill it 😂 i know the gun isnt loaded. just a funny design.
Witch is the cheapest
Direct fill
Scope Slipping... Any Cure?
This is follow up on the BSA Optics Sweet .22 Scope for the Gamo Maxium .22 G2 break barrel gun.
I purchased this cope and had it mounted. It looked and seem to work BUT today I noticed that the scope’s mounting brackets (11mm) were sliding back to you as I fired the gun.
The back mounting bracket was just about to slide off the back of the rail.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem to keep the scope from moving.
I have tightened down the mounting brackets very secure.
Need scope rings with a stop pin theres a hole in the reciever for it
@@STKO2011 Thanks.... Where can I find scope rings that would have a stop pin in them.
They would have to fit the top rail which is 11mm in size.
The scope rail has a hole in it close to the back of the rail. I just need to find where to buy a scope ring that has a pin on it so it will fit in the hole.
I need to keep the scope from sliding back along the mounting rail.
@@dhansel4835 Amazon or Ebay
What about a pressure washer?😅
when bench shooting i leave the scba bottle hooked up and open, only fill bottle to 3800
there ya go!
Nice video, very informative!
Glad you think so!
I'll just stick to my break barrel. No doubt these air rifles are nice. But I sure don't want to mess around with pumping it up. Just looks like a pain in the butt
They have their place. What speeds are you getting out of a high end breaker? Thanks
@@pepesantoraton9865 1300 fps.
Cool. I mean cool air. Lol
Thanks!
Warm air from the compressor. 🧐
Yep haha
@@STKO2011 would this make my poi bad after all day shooting. This past week probably shot 700+ pellet slug trying to figure out. And I have definitely seen better grouping from being aired up over night and frist two fills then it starts getting worse, by end of day its worse and worse. Made a make shift pull threw cleaning wipe while my pellet bore kit comees

Wow thank you Sir, great
I hate filling my gun, always worried im gonna loose an eye or a finger one day hahaaa i know its safe an thier all kind of texh at work but ,just the preasure these guns run at can hurt if it were explode one day for some reason, too cold, too rough handling it or just drop it by accident and it hits the rt spot hahaha
