    When I first bought my Equinox I set up a coin program in Park 1. Hunted with it for two years and found coins and silver jewelry. When I realized exactly what your talking about I started find lots more junk but the gold started coming. Love those number from 1-14 even though I have found some on 15-16. I find a lot of cheap rings at the beach on 18-19. When I’m on the beach I use beach 1, volume 25, 1 tone and sensitivity as high as possible without to much chatter. Dig every tone and don’t worry about the numbers. Great video.

    i have access to a place where they have a 3 day summer camp every year for the last 22 years. LOTS of pulltabs and bottle caps. Ill keep trucking! thanks! They have consessions, concerts, camping and so much more. HUGE property. Glad I found your channel. I got my 800 about 2 weeks ago!

    My takeaway from your instructions is that notch discrimination will not eliminate all pull tabs but will eliminate smaller gold and silver jewelry. Therefore, dig all targets from 1 and above. Just reset my NOX 600 and shall smile every time I recover a pull tab because jewelry will eventually follow. Thanks for your assistance!

    Good sir! Thank you so so much for taking the time to make these videos and dive into the why and when🙏🙏🙏🙏 I am a dig everything, convince myself it's not iron kind of hunter, but I was missing so many relics by going for extreme depth and slow swing speed! I run the deus 2 and have an awesome spot that I thought was getting to be done for. Watched hours of your videos last night and adjusted my settings Accordingly! It was like a virgin field. Can't thank you enough.

      Thanks Tom. Deus 2 is a fine tunable detector. You will learn how to tune it to your sites. I have learned so much more about tuning the D2 the last 6 months. I have had the D2 for over 2 years. The Deus 2 has many more advanced features and tonal options from when it was first released. The D2 never gets old for me.

    Good information I looked for a ring for a man in his 80s and couldn't find it. I will have to go back and check tomorrow for him. Getting better at learning to listen

    Going to switch back to my 6" nox800 coil, even in the open areas.. It's too distracting with the 11" coil hitting all those targets at once.

      I’m much happier w my 6. I may be missing targets but not on the dig. Just can’t get the sweet spot on the biggen.

    So what you're saying is not to "Notch out" otherwise you will miss out on those big and little "Honkers". I would hate missing out on any "Honking" rings. Big or little. It would be one hell of a "Honking" big disappointment. I can't wait to go "Honking" hunting again. Great video and great advice not to "Notch out". Thanks "Honker Hunter". :)

    Bravo !! 👏👏👏 c'est exactement ça ! Je suis entièrement d'accord ! Merci pour cette vidéo très intéressante je viens d'acheter mon premier détecteur un equinox 900 c'est ma 5 ème sortie j'apprends à m'en servir mais dès qu'un son et net il faut cresé ! Même si c'est le même indice que les 20 bouts d'aluminium que l'on a sortis juste avant il faut creuser ça peut-être une petite cible en or ! Alors oui des gens peuvent trouver plus de pièces avec le même temps passé mais ils louerons probablement de petits bijoux ! Bravo encore ! 👍🏻

    Normally 17 is always junk on the Nox ……the other day I dug a 17 ….which was a large solid gold pendant …..the only reason I dug it ……. I was in a open space area of a park on Mother’s Day …….this is where people throw freebies / horse play ……..I dig it all in certain hunting locations

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  3 роки тому +1

      It is always refreshing when you dig up junk for a few hours and you smack on some gold that sounds just like all the other junk you have digging up!! Congrats on your pendant Rob!!

    Love the informative tests Jeremy... have you tested all the gold rings on the simplex? I've been trying to find most common gold numbers for the simplex... right now I am leaning towards 22-24 but I know they can range all over the place... in your experience, is there "common gold" numbers on the Simplex?

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  3 роки тому

      usually in the 20's. I will make a video today on those same rings using the Simplex.

    So….You’re going to be digging up a ton of nails too then, right?
    I’ve notched out iron since 2019 when I got the nox 800. Funny enough, I haven’t found a gold ring yet. Hahaha. But I’m usually aiming at coin shooting since I don’t like pulling up trash. I need to expand my skills and my ears. I don’t know how to hear the difference. And I’ve enjoyed listening to Ted Nugent tell me about notching…Great voice.

    Hi
    H
    I'm hoping I get a reply before Sunday as that's when I'm out next.
    The field I've been detecting on for over 2yrs has been done by loads of other detectorists over the years so I know there isn't anything decent like gold,hammered coins etc on that field but it does have a lot of iron.
    The lowest number I usually dig is 16 which are 4 holed ww2 shirt buttons so would I benefit by notching out to about 12 as there is coke n coal on the land too.
    I know there is pre decimal coins still there as I got some battered ones the other day aswell as a sixpence which was a solid 19.
    I'm pretty much new to the nox 600 so just trying to make my hobby easier for me.
    Obviously I would dig everything if I was at the park or beach

      Coke and hot rocks are so frickn hard to get through. On the Deus I can identify the hot rocks by the XY screen. If I GB too low the rocks sound like a coin. Full tones can reject those hot rocks too.

      My parks used to be canslaw infested too. There is rings out there in that slaw. You just gotta dig the slaw up man. Once you clean the slaw out of a place you have found rings at before....you dig out less slaw each time and hit on more rings. Jewelry hotspots are in the trashy areas.
