The date on the mercury dime was 1916 to 1945. It was probably form the 40's. Most of the mercs I found in that park are from the 30's-40's. This video was from about April or May last year.

The nickel could probably from the 40's too, maybe even modern. The Jefferson nickel has been minted since 1938.

I used the TRX for years. It was unreal for depth, but the TrX's were not very durable, I would be lucky if I would get 1 year of use from them. I would surely buy one if Garrett would make them. I have a big pile of broken TRX's

Fisher pulse not bad but again parks and 85 most are surface finds trx still a go had it 5 years sat in a box for 12 months.

The XP pinpointers have been very good for me. I think a pinpointer should only pinpoint on the tip. That is why it is called a pin...pointer!!

I put the copper brass lead stainless in one bucket for later sorting. I put the iron and aluminum in the trash because it has almost no value. All of the aluminum and iron I put in the trash bin gets gets sorted from my garbage company at a trash recycling center. I did sort coins a couple times but I do not think I will be doing it again in the future, it takes a lot of effort to sort the coins.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak I guess the nicer ones can go into an automatic sorter (we have these at supermarkets/malls) and it will spit out the non currency ones. In the UK, charities take those or weigh it in as scrap I guess. Great video.

All of my XP pinpointers have worked great. Walter purchased these on Amazon when XP was having a promo. This video was from almost 8 months ago.

XP finds pouch. It is small but works great for parks. I cut the inner liner out.

I have used the Predator Phoenix in many soils, it works awesome. I used the Phoenix for almost 2 months in East Texas last year.

Really depends on location and how busy it is, the big tot lot in my town I search once a month and find a couple things each time, the smaller ones in my town I'll search 1 or 2 times a year and not find much even after 6 or 12 months, also depends on time of the year, I find when it first hits good weather in the spring I see way more people playing in the tot lot, towards the fall I see a lot less All this could be totally different in your area

Depends on the amount of people using the playground and the time of year and the most important aspect....is someone else metal detecting that totlot. Every totlot is different.

This is why the XP pinpointers are my main pinpointer.

I do not know how many ribs I broke, maybe just one. I leaned over a dump trailer with high sides to grab a box and felt a pop in my ribcage, it did not hurt until about 5 days later when I was metal detecting. I was not able to move much for about 5 weeks or I would cringe with pain. It took me about 4 months to feel 100%. I broke a rib in my early 20's so I knew what that pain was.

It is hard to tell how much I find because I put it all in a big bucket and sort the junk about twice a year. I cashed 900 dollars worth of coins a few months back, I washed the coins very well and still plugged the machine up with damaged coins and dirt.
