This may come as a surprise but this was Ebert’s favorite “dumb Adam Sandler” comedy. He praised the ambitiousness. And when his colleague criticized why there was a talking dog and why Nicky’s brothers look so different, Ebert said it best: “you just don’t ask those kinds of questions”. And I agree 😂
There are some legit funny jokes in this movie, despite the usual Adam Sandlerisms. This and Big Daddy are my guilty pleasures. I don't care how bad they are.
I was in junior high when this came out. Me.and my friends genuinely laughed at this and quoted the film. Maybe Little Nicky was marketed for demographic. 🤔
I know you didn’t mention them due to time, but the cameo from Carl Weathers as Chubbs from HAPPY GILMORE and the pre-credits mention of Chris Farley as Reese Witherspoon's new fitness instructor in Heaven still make me smile. Farley's death was only two years prior to filming this movie, so it must have been tearing Sandler up inside, after hearing that song in concert he wrote for him. And the soundtrack to this flick--Marilyn Manson, P.O.D., Filter--is such a great time capsule of 90s culture turning into 00s culture.
Also Early Muse and Hybrid Theory era Linkin Park, Deftones, Incubus, Foo Fighters, Lit, Powerman 5000, Disturbed, Little Nicky was probably at that Sick New World festival. 😂 Hell even Sandler performed with Deftones and Incubus on an acoustic version of Be Quiet and Drive to promote the movie: ua-cam.com/video/es9NY4Sx3io/v-deo.html

The bum Happy gets to be his golf caddy. 😳lol Chubs! Loosing his hand to the Alligator 🐊& then dying. That wooden hand. 😂 Exiles song in the beginning.. Don’t forget Carl Weathers cameo. Coming back has Chubb Peterson from Happy Gilmore. Which goes to show you how the Sandler verse is connected just like Pixar when you realize how those movies are connected with all the product placement from other movies. In the 90’s Sandler always got with the women who’s initials were VV, Veronica Vaughn, Vicki Valencourt, Virginia Venet. Yep Sandler always having his friends in movies, a beautiful woman, and in the 2000’s Jennifer Aniston, and Hawaii. Even Hubie Halloween brought back Ben Stiller. So even you have never seen his movies you may not know what the cameos are for lol just oh hey Rob Schindler always playing the same character. He was the same person in 50 First dates and the Wrong Missy.
I don't like all of Adam Sandler's comedies, but I like Billy Madison, Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, Click, Zohan, Grown Ups, and Just Go With It
I thought this movie would be Martin’s favorite Sandler movie based on the amount of Popeyes product placement in here. It does make you want to get Popeyes though 😂.
I watched this movie once when I was 12 and managed to erase everything from my mind exept for that demon with titties on his head that would creep my subconscious.
I know Martin hates when Billy is there because he doesn't let Martin get a word in. 😂 Billy will talk, laugh and joke up all the space. Poor Martin has to jump in here and there when he can like it's double dutch.
The dog says he’s an old friend of his dads - implying he’s a demon dog. This isn’t even close to the worse Adam has done. These guys don’t smoke enough - this movie is hilarious

For any horror fans out there, this movie was the reason why there wasn't a prequel to the Nightmare on Elm Street series as by 1999/2000, the director of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer was signed to direct and wanted to explore how Freddy came from Hell as an ancient demon. But because this flopped, the studio thought nobody would see a movie mostly set in Hell, and he told the studio to go to Hell. So, Thanks a lot, Adam Sandler!!!

When the video opened up and the demon was laughing and echoing through New York, I actually thought it was Martin laughing at something with how it kind of sounds like he laughs now and again.
This movie is great for what it is. Also Beefy the dog is intended to be a demon, as hinted by the scene of him napping and singing in a weird demonic voice in his sleep.
I was surprised you guys didn't review it already, so my suggestion is "100% Fresh", Adam's 2018 Netflix special. Not that it received bad reviews, but it was praised mostly for the songs, such as "Phone, Wallet, Keys", the very touching tribute to Chris Farley and his updated version of "Grow Old with You", dedicated to his wife of 20 years, Jackie. I'm sure he'll come out with another special (possibly by next year), and if he does, I can't wait to hear more new songs!
Popeyes got their moneys worth on this movie, the didn't have worry about advertisements for long time, Adam Sandler was the head of the marketing team 😅
This is in my top favorite movie category I seen it over 20 times they played it a lot on Fox channel back in the day on the weekends I wish it was a part 2
A few few years ago it dawned on me that Adam Sandler movies are pretty much connected. For instance, in Happy Gilmore the actor who played Chubbs is also in this movie. In Happy Gilmore he dies, and in Little Nicky, we see him in heaven.
And Rob Schneider’s character from The Waterboy appears in not just this, but in The Longest Yard remake, and his character from Big Daddy also appeared in Mr. Deeds. The Sandler Cinematic Universe.
The premise isn't half bad, has a lot of potential honestly, but I think it's a premise that makes more sense for a serious movie; two sons of Satan trying to betray him while the third helps him, I mean. God, but the jokes in this movie are fucking disgusting.
I unapologetically love this stupid movie! Mostly because of the early 2000s feel of it, the soundtrack, and the comedy can be so random I can't help but laugh. Like Beefy's weird ass evil snoring, the pillow fight between Nicky & Adrian, & Nicky getting his ass handed to him as he tells random people "Get in the flask!"🤣🤣🤣 It's not as funny or compelling as 50 First Dates or Big Daddy, but I seriously don't think it's as hated as Korey and Martin claim that "even die hard Sandler fans hated this film." That's Jack & Jill...
I think a big factor in this floundering was that Dogma came out a year prior and was on cable by then, because I remember going into this and just thinking this is a way less funny version of Dogma , that I saw earlier that day on Starz.
This may come as a surprise but this was Ebert’s favorite “dumb Adam Sandler” comedy. He praised the ambitiousness. I miss him. He should guest appear in 1 episode now and again . Whatever happened to him anyway, did he retire?
The snaggletooth line was apparently Patricia Arquette's own suggestion, and Sandler was like, "You sure you want us to do it?"
When I was a kid little Nicky was my movie...the basketball scene was my favorite
I'm here for the beers and the bitches!
Considering your pathetic thoughts on Internet influencers, I'm no surprised at all. You'd best keep quiet next time.
"THIS LITERALLY IS YOUR GRANDMOTHER CHAIN" 😂😂😂
I remember seeing this on TV at a very young age, too young to get the comedy, and being very confused and slightly disturbed by this movie… Like nothing wanted me to be a better Catholic and not go to hell than Little Nicky, so this is like the perfect Jack Chick flick lol
Calm down 😭 8:35
That face 😂 11:04
Looks so fake 😭 18:30
Lol 🤣 20:25
Not the bees! 🐝 25:19
Lmao 😂 27:56
Awful poor kid 😭 30:13
So can't do that joke now 👀 39:52
That chin.. 👀 35:22
How about some Coca-Cola 43:48
Love that chicken from Popeyes 😂😭 46:00
Same here kid 💯😂 52:35
Sad movie could have been something but it was just so awful, the signs were there for Adam Sandler career going down the drain.
Awfully amazing***
When the video opened up and the demon was laughing and echoing through New York, I actually thought it was Martin laughing at something with how it kind of sounds like he laughs now and again.
Nick's gay roommate was one of the best parts of this movie!
I watched this with friends back in 2001, while tripping on mushrooms! It was a masterpiece of theater!😅
I know this is an awful movie but it has a special place in my heart lol.
Adrian is one of my favorite onscreen villains
This movie is great for what it is. Also Beefy the dog is intended to be a demon, as hinted by the scene of him napping and singing in a weird demonic voice in his sleep.
Yeah I didn't understand that criticism. He even said he's a friend of his dad's. What else would he be?
Billy is officially my favorite member of the DT crew next to martin Tommy and gurts and Godwin
I came see Martin's reaction to the Popeyes chicken jokes 😂
I was surprised you guys didn't review it already, so my suggestion is "100% Fresh", Adam's 2018 Netflix special. Not that it received bad reviews, but it was praised mostly for the songs, such as "Phone, Wallet, Keys", the very touching tribute to Chris Farley and his updated version of "Grow Old with You", dedicated to his wife of 20 years, Jackie. I'm sure he'll come out with another special (possibly by next year), and if he does, I can't wait to hear more new songs!
My roommate and I tried to watch this movie a month ago. Legit could not finish it.
Nicky sounds like he's related to Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys
DEMON DOG SNORES IS HILARIOUS
Not for nothing, but this was way funnier than what passes for "comedy" in current day Hollywood these days.
Out of all Adam Sandler movies I’ve suffered from Little Nicky is one of them great soundtrack by the way.
Man I ain’t even get to the video yet and I can already hear Billy 😂😂💯
jon lovitz character was on the same album as whitey
Jon Lovitz and John Witherspoon and George Wallace were my fav cameos on this movie 😂😂😂
Popeyes got their moneys worth on this movie, the didn't have worry about advertisements for long time, Adam Sandler was the head of the marketing team 😅
I’ll admit. Rhys Ifans’ response to Nipples’ dancing was actually pretty funny.
“Well maybe not THAT horrible but still pretty bad.”
Jack and Jill is his all time worst movie
@icoroa don't bother lol
Whitey the referee sounding like Scratch from the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon from the early 90s, Lol 🙂
This is in my top favorite movie category I seen it over 20 times they played it a lot on Fox channel back in the day on the weekends I wish it was a part 2
The dog could’ve made sense if it was actually Cerberus in disguise. Just saying he’s a hell hound would’ve been fine.
Deeds. The Sandler Cinematic Universe.
i literally just commented yesterday ya should do this movie roast 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i love it!!!! ❤😂😂😂
The premise isn't half bad, has a lot of potential honestly, but I think it's a premise that makes more sense for a serious movie; two sons of Satan trying to betray him while the third helps him, I mean. God, but the jokes in this movie are fucking disgusting.
24:00 LOL
I actually like this film. I think it's genuinely funny, unique an Good 🙂
Say whatever y’all want. The movie had y’all laughing
That John witherspoon line always cracks me up clowning her Snaggle tooth LOL
Oh wow lol is this the only movie that has both John and Reese Witherspoon? 🤣
Oh boy Adam Sandler you need a bad movie playlist of Adam Sandler himself XD
I had it on DVD back in the day, pretty funny movie..
I unapologetically love this stupid movie! Mostly because of the early 2000s feel of it, the soundtrack, and the comedy can be so random I can't help but laugh.
Like Beefy's weird ass evil snoring, the pillow fight between Nicky & Adrian, & Nicky getting his ass handed to him as he tells random people "Get in the flask!"🤣🤣🤣
It's not as funny or compelling as 50 First Dates or Big Daddy, but I seriously don't think it's as hated as Korey and Martin claim that "even die hard Sandler fans hated this film." That's Jack & Jill...
💯 us millennials love this movie 😂
It’s actually contrary…Only Sandler die hard fans love this movie
I think a big factor in this floundering was that Dogma came out a year prior and was on cable by then, because I remember going into this and just thinking this is a way less funny version of Dogma , that I saw earlier that day on Starz.
I once drew over Sandler's little nicky
Face in the paper.😂
I remember watching this growing up!!! Man I love this movie lol
Didn't know bad movie review went by box office. Cause this is a beloved cult classic lol in that case idiocracy is a "bad movie"
