One of the funniest roasts to date, Oz needs to be on these more often. My guess as to what Tarantino wrote would be some of the Charles Rocket stuff, because he's a big fan of Brian De Palma's DRESSED TO KILL, about a cross dresser stalking and killing women they're obsessed with, so I wouldn't be shocked if Quentin pulled from that flick as he often does with other movies.
It's so crazy that Tarantino helped write the worst screenplay of 1994 while also writing the best. And what weirder is both Julia Sweeney and Kathy Griffin are in Pulp Fiction , and Both film are set in the same era of LA, and both were released by Disney at the time. So many weird connections between the two films
"Dressed to Kill" is great. I'm sure he did pull from it as he's pulled from other De Palmas such as "Blowout"...as I'm sure you know is the reason Travolta was cast in Pulp Fiction.
Seeing this roast live on Twitch had me rolling. The falling down the stairs clip at 27:22 + Billy's laughter just had me laughing hard as heck. Definitely one of the best DT's roasts.

I’ve seen Korey go off far worse on movies before back in the Spill days, when cheap, terrible comedy’s would get theatrical releases rather than ending up in Netflix hell. Though, this does come very close to bringing the old Korey back from a time when Friedberg and Seltzer movies came out twice a year. Doesn’t top the famous Movie 43 review though.

It’s Pat is something I swear was made with the explicit intent and purpose of being agonizing to watch. In which case, mission accomplished.
Remember this playing on public TV and then Pat falling down and saying, “Ow, my nuts!” And then taking out some broken walnuts. I thought it was a corny joke and changed the channel immediately

There's an voice-over gag during the credits where Charles Rocket calls into the talk show and basically reveals that he's had a crisis of gender after the events of the movie. He's the only reason to watch this thing, and even then you can just skip to his scenes. I wonder would the movie have been a tad bit better if he was the main character, gradually losing his mind, and Pat was a side character?
Honestly I think this could’ve worked as a mockumentary where Charles Rocket’s character is doing a documentary on Pat’s daily life and trying to just get one shot of them that confirms their gender whilst slowly going insane as he gets in too deep
Yeah, they were pretty much setting Charles rocket to be the next Chevy Chase, but the fans loved Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo, and apparently, after he said, the F word that was the final nail in the coffin for his SNL run, after that you didn’t see him too much, except on dumb and dumber as the villain (just like in this film) and I remember seeing him in hocus-pocus as the dad and he was on king of queens as the repair guy where he was really funny that was one of his last appearances. I think that was about 2004 around time he died. Rip
I'm non-binary myself and honestly this is just one of those things of the time that I remember being a thing in the 90s. Within my own community we basically call it " the one joke... But made into a entire movie and still not funny" Oh and speaking just outside of myself for a bit there are some people who do not mind being called it but it's usually in a BDSM context... C;
This movie COMPLETELY slipped under the radar. I didn't hear about this movie until I saw the review.... Also keep in mind that this movie came out in 1994.... It was released in the same year as "The Mask" and "Pulp Fiction"....2 far more successful movies.

Honestly I think this could’ve worked as a mockumentary where Charles Rocket’s character is doing a documentary on Pat’s daily life and trying to just get one shot of them that confirms their gender whilst slowly going insane as he gets in too deep

RIP Charles Rocket. Charles Rocket was also in Hocus Pocus(1993 as David "Dave" Dennison, Max and Dani's father.
And at the time that movie wasn't received well either.
Yeah, they were pretty much setting Charles rocket to be the next Chevy Chase, but the fans loved Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo, and apparently, after he said, the F word that was the final nail in the coffin for his SNL run, after that you didn’t see him too much, except on dumb and dumber as the villain (just like in this film) and I remember seeing him in hocus-pocus as the dad and he was on king of queens as the repair guy where he was really funny that was one of his last appearances. I think that was about 2004 around time he died. Rip
You forgot to mention he slit his own throat, very gruesome
I'm non-binary myself and honestly this is just one of those things of the time that I remember being a thing in the 90s.
Within my own community we basically call it " the one joke... But made into a entire movie and still not funny"

This movie COMPLETELY slipped under the radar. I didn't hear about this movie until I saw the review....
Also keep in mind that this movie came out in 1994....
It was released in the same year as "The Mask" and "Pulp Fiction"....2 far more successful movies.
Also QT put 3 of the Pat actors in Pulp Fiction, Kathy Griffin, Phil LaMarr and Julia Sweeney.
Its awesome having all 4 of them on this review. Comedy gold😂😂😂

I’ve seen this movie once never got finish watching it and I know exactly why. Also I’ll love to see another bad movie roast of SNL movie’s skits.
