I will make a unpopular confession here. But this movie is a guilty pleasure for me. Poor Kevin Kline ( Who went on to do countless voice acting gigs such a bob's burgers, and other good movies) and Kenneth Branagh (who went on to do Murder on the Orient Express), they both tried so hard to salvage this movie. Smith was doing is usual mannerisms, pure ham and cheese. It was so bad its good territory, it goes along with the Room. Kenneth Branagh chewed scenery as Dr. Loveless, and stole every scene he was in. He was hamming it up and looked like he was having fun with the character. I felt it was a prelude to Hercule Poirot, Kenneth likes playing quirky and goofy characters. Kevin Kline played a good aloof genius Artemus Gordon.
And The Iron Giant, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. And yet, Warner Bros gave more of a crap about Wild Wild West's marketing than Iron Giant's.
With Wild Wild West being one of my personal gulty pleasures I must say Will Smith is SO charming he's the only black man to have talked his way out of a mob lynching

Good job guys tearing this movie a new hole. It was nasty bad. What Hollywood doesn’t remember is that these 60’s and 70’s shows that they are remaking barely had plot for their 50 minutes of show. They had to have Conrad get into lots of bar fights as the show got deeper into the 60’s. It was cheaper to produce and they didn’t need storylines. Remember too that Wild Wild West had two reunion shows in 1979 and 1980 that were pretty weak on action. There just isn’t enough to do for an hr and a half movie. Putting the leads into women’s clothes and have Smith trade racial and physical slurs with Loveless isn’t an interesting story to watch. Can’t wait for the sequel. 😂
The show was just James Bond in the west. All the movie had to do was just be a bond movie, but in the west. Couldn’t have been that hard. Apparently Tom Cruise was actually supposed to play West in an earlier version of the movie where it was actually serious. He went on to do Mission Impossible instead lol.
Hemicorporectomy means "cutting off half the body". Some doctors are opposed to the idea on principle (of quality of life of the patient). It's a controversial topic in the medical community every time we go to war.
Everybody want a Black James Bond, but Jim west was that for me as a child. And even when I rewatch it today the Movie is filled with so much energy and displays a very marketable formula.

You forgot to add that this movie is also somewhat responsible for breaking up Maryland’s finest R&B group, Dru Hill 😩
Kenneth Branagh is a legend in the Shakespearean theater scene and he deserves all the praise.
Damn Billy lost it when Korey screamed the n word as a death scream, funny reaction lol. Damn, no ass scene lol.
I legitimately tried watching/listening to this review at work with my earphones on, and I couldn't even get past the first 10 seconds, I had to try my hardest to hold in my laughter. these guys have become my favorite reviewers. check out their Speed 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 reviews, you're going to laugh your a$$ off
YESSSSSSSSS. Im so excited. Please review Juwanna Mann eventually. Korey was great in that movie.
They should review Juwanna Mann next year around the time when Space Jam 2 comes out either in theaters/VOD.
"He talked his way into the industry"
Well, I mean being married to Barbara Steisand helped
I think people never consider this movie as a reason why Will smith didn't do Django Unchained, can't potentially go through another western again.
Damn, ‘99 really was a great year for film! Fight Club, American Beauty, The Matrix... Wild Wild West was definitely not one of them.
The Sixth Sense, The Mummy and The Blair Witch Project.
The Jazz King I almost forgot about those as well, good looking out!
Taj Campbell don’t forget about Toy Story 2.
RalphJr2020 Gotta have Toy Story on that list, too!
And The Iron Giant, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. And yet, Warner Bros gave more of a crap about Wild Wild West's marketing than Iron Giant's.
I loved this movie and im not ashamed to say it.....no matter how bad it actually is
No one should be ashamed for liking it. It’s a bad movie, but in a fun way.
With Wild Wild West being one of my personal gulty pleasures I must say Will Smith is SO charming he's the only black man to have talked his way out of a mob lynching
Legendary for it's terribleness? C'mon that's harsh. I mean it was a dumb movie but there's so much worse out there that deserves that description.
Everytime Korey says, "John Peters..." I want him to say, "you know... The farmer."
Martain looks like he about to take his horse to the old town road.
28:32 I’m glad I didn’t just imagine that, they did truly show that in a PG-13 rated movie. Not complaining, but wow!
Fun fact about Jon Peters. He edited the trailer for the First Tim Burton Batman movie. And it shows cause there ain’t no music in it 🤣
The producer must of loved Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets
21:14 I just spit my drink all over myself! LOL 😂
Perfect timing with depressed Will Smith
Go outside and play.
There was a cool cosplay at a local convention I was at with Loveless and that steampunk wheelchair
If Will thought things were bad then, just wait till 2022...
In the TV show version, of the Wild Wild West, the character villain Miguelito Loveless was a dwarf played by actor Michael Dunn.
This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. It's bad, but hey, I grew up watching it as a kid.
25:05 - "TELL SOME JOKES!" (Martin Thomas)
The first Segwey was a steam powered unicycle and "spiders be livin in the cake house" are just two of the many mysteries in this movie. The inexplicable steampunk, dildo tank broke me tho.
I used to watch this movie so much as a kid. Maybe I remember it being good because of the song. Loved that song
Something is wrong with me. When you started joking about the "Marvin Acme origin story" I actually wanted to see that.
I would pay good money to see that!
I remember going to see this in theaters with my Mom when I was younger. I didnt hate it then, and I dont hate it now, but I can admit its not very good. Its definitely more of a guilty pleasure tbh
"Were all lynchings so polite?" Lol😁
Hemicorporectomy means "cutting off half the body". Some doctors are opposed to the idea on principle (of quality of life of the patient). It's a controversial topic in the medical community every time we go to war.
I don't see why they would opposed since doctors love to lower the quality of life for their patients
Imagine Jon Peters watching Enemy.
"Hmm, interesting plot, great performance by Jake Gyllenha- HOLY SHIT YES"
They'd carry him out on a stretcher with Arachnophobia.
JOYGASM!
they just destroyed my childhood. i always wondered about all them damn spiders. "the south gone rise again but he has no legs" im dead now.
Lol I love Wild Wild West😂😂😂😂 yall got me screaming laughing. Absolutely loved Kenneth Branaugh as Loveless
Mr West😄 havent seen u n coons age
Everybody want a Black James Bond, but Jim west was that for me as a child. And even when I rewatch it today the Movie is filled with so much energy and displays a very marketable formula.
The best thing about the Wild Wild West is the theme song with Will, Sisqo & Dru Hill. As a kid, I loved this movie and I still like this movie.LOL I do wonder what would have happened if Will was Neo. We will never know.
“This game of chess is ova!”
😅😂🤣💀
"Gordon...I'm about to suck the skin off of this shit". That one fuckin' got me. Laughed so hard I woke up my son in the other room. Well played, Billy
Not gonna lie, I like this movie. I like the over the top cheesiness
Same. Embrace the silliness!
To be honest, if the movie were re-written and had a.....not batshit crazy producer, it would be a pretty good movie and story. Especially for the racial aspects that they sadly dont go into in the movie would be really good for whats happening in the world today.
BEEN WAITING ON THIS!!!!
Musetta Vander, the actress who played Sindel in Mortal Kombat Annihilation plays one of Loveless' henchwoman. Let that sink in.
17:05 Well, well...
We got us a shy N- *PUNCH*
What did he say?
The Sheriff is near
(Blazing Saddles)
This movie had a lot of things going for it but for some weird reason, it decided to just turn into a 2 hour Looney Tunes short.
