And although the story has literally nothing to do with the Stephen King short story the concept is fascinating. And you gotta give it to Jeff Fahey's performance. His slow, incremental change from being mentally challenged to posessing god level intellect was very well done and pretty believable.
I last saw this movie eons ago, when I was still in my teens, and while I did find it to be an entertaining bad movie with some imaginative visuals, I can’t agree with you about Jeff Fahey’s performance. The Director's cut is WAY better and has much more crazier shit than the theatrical cut that would've been amazing for the review. For instance, the scenes with the monkey go on much, much longer. In the DC, it actually escapes the lab and then befriends Jobe who believes it to be one of his comic book heroes because of the gear the monkey is wearing. The monkey scans Jobe's eye with his helmet which labels him as a "Non-Threat". Dr. Angelo's wife gets shot up by the Shop agents, and there's a scene where Jobe reads a bunch of world history and as a result he develops a very negative view toward humans and civilization. At one point he experiences a flurry of emotions which causes a strange growth to appear on his hand and it freaks him out. There's all kinds of cool stuff that happens! A modern Lawnmower Man remake should be about a Mexican landscaper trapped in vr.
😂😂😂 I don't think they would make that version in today's climate.. Back in the 2000s and earlier probably but in the 2010s you are messing up.. 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm all for stuff like this and people in real blackface if it's going to send a message but I don't know who wouldn't be offended by it..
Ok so there is this movie called “Ghost in the Machine”(1993) has the similar concept as this. Hope you guys see this because that could be another bad movie roast lol 🤣 🤞🏾
But no mention of SHIELD? Isn't this a prequel to Age of Ultron?
48:39 Billy's laugh harmonizing with the death by mower scene was perfect!
How is it not a SAG-AFTRA violation if they put Stephen King’s name on a screenplay he didn’t write? It screws over both him and the actual writer.
Man please cover Blindspotting the TV show
I'm kind of angry at myself for still not seeing that show yet because I do like the movie.
I loved this movie when it came out! 🔥
The louder Billy laughs, the more uplifted my spirit becomes! 😂
I went to see it @ Mann 9 theaters back in 1992 when it first came out. And I also remember when film critics Siskel & Ebert review it on their show they both gave it thumbs down 👎
This guy was affecting the real world outside the matrix before Neo.
You guys are incorrect. The video game was for the Super Nintendo, not NES.
Please do a review on black dynamite and black belt Jones
I cant express how much joy Billy's laugh give me haha what an opening
18:21 *Chewbacca!!??*
The movie was made in 1992 did you guy's expect state-of-the-art special effects lmao you have to judge a look of a movie by the era it came out.. I thought lawnmower man was an awesome movie when I saw it in 92 definitely compared to today's digital fx it's laughable but I still enjoy it as a 20+ yr old classic film
Yeah I feel like they're just constantly nitpicking and bitching about everything and they're literally not getting anything about the movie it's like how they love how they said oh I guess when you're smart it makes you ripped it's like the dude literally was wearing clothes the whole movie until that one scene he was probably already like that anything they were saying did you guys pay any attention to this movie
I remember seeing the film in theaters. It was pretty bad. I also remember the video game. A friend of mine owned the game. It was pretty good at the time. Better than the movie for sure.
If you hate this movie, you're not a human and you have no heart.
Can you guys do a bad movie roast on batman 1943?
50:36 Thank God! I dont have to do this no more. 😆 😆 😆 Sweet release.
A mentally challenged person becomes a cyber god? This movie predicted Chris Chan!
Once again, I'm here for Billy's laughter!😁🤣 Gosh, I haven't watched this movie since back in the early 90s when it came out. And then got confused after I read the Stephen King short story it was based on. What happened to Jeff Fahey, anyway??? Haven't seen anything of him in years.
Korey still has the porn in his laptop, RIGHT NOW!
billy is hilarious 😂😂
y'all didn't milk the ridiculousness of this movie enough lol
