      I had a similar issue.
My ex left me and our children and Grandchildren for a woman 40 years younger!
Is he helping to support you and the children? Do you still love him?
If so, leave him be, he may come back to his family.
Affairs can last up to a year.
Pray for him, remain calm and compassionate. His place is with his family. God will help you.

I cannot even listen to the emd...end.... let's not beat around the bush... this is CLASSIC. The dude is cheating. But you want to paint it as he's innocent with attachment issues. Oh my goodness.. you can read about this friend zone crap on social media support groups. Happens everyday all day... and usually 9/10 there is a 3rd party involved.

I don't know - being in the middle of a financial crisis and busy at work, which she's worried about, and he probably doesn't feel like he can take care of an anxious girlfriend who basically acts like a needy child (a big guess here, but that seems to be what a lot of anxiously attached people are like).
Especially if she feels she needs more attention than he is willing to provide, it would just be easier and probably sensible to say 'hey, I can't meet your relationship needs right now".
At least that's my read of the situation. 7 years together, they should be able to deal with it though. I don't know, listen to the coach

Even if it is, bottom line is he decided not to be in a relationship and she handled it pretty well
