Hi Craig, maybe this situation would be of interest?: I've heard mixed feedback on whether or not it's a good idea, what do you think and what should the contents be? My situation: was in a 3 year relationship but by the end there was a pragmatic 'im leaving the country and I don't see a future with us' from her and we ended it with me refusing her offer to be friends as I felt bitter about how she went about it (she basically didn't talk to me (yet again) for 2 weeks because I woke her up whilst eating a cookie in bed (lol)). That was 2 years ago and I now feel like I want to get stuff off my chest and also yeah, it would be nice if it sparked something but I understand it might be very remote especially as she's not currently in the same country as me and I don't know what her plans are but she does seem to want to come back. I think I used to irritate her as she would start arguments over trivial stuff and I would react by resenting that she would hurt me over something trivial and feel like I was walking on egg shells... It made me not attracted to her, so I would not be intimate sexually with her. However she might have taken that personally and so a loop might have been created. I feel like I should let her know that I accept responsibility for my part in what led her to behave that way to me and regret for having been unable to work it out with her and living up to her expectations. We have been in contact but only in post-living-together admin and recently I declined to help her with a problem that she had related to it that she wanted my help with but it was problem that was her fault and I didn't want to feel like a doormat. I feel I want to also explain why I refused to help her. So what do I want from this? I feel like I would like to be with her again. We don't even have a friendship currently (I did try before to see if she would reciprocate friendly chitchat), but also, I feel I would prefer to refuse to be her friend and for her to get in contact when she decides that she might be interested in me romantically/sexually again. This message I intend sending is meant to inspire that spark as maybe she thinks I'm not interested in her and she is being defensive... Maybe... She did stop herself halfway through saying she loved me at one point and i regret never saying it to her. I guess I feel the need to mention this too. I think I can finally comment 2 years post break up. I remember this channel was my saving grace. I constantly watched these videos (probably too much) and was SO broken hearted I couldn’t eat, sleep, work, etc. I genuinely did not think I would ever feel better. I always saw comments about people looking back on their break up and healing and realizing that everything happens for a reason and as someone who thought that would never be possible, I’m here to say that IT IS. And they may come back, but they may not. And that is always for the best. If you’re really going through it right now, please please just know that even if it takes a while, you WILL be happy again!

Nobody is mentioning that getting on with your life is exceptionally difficult during the covid lockdown & restrictions. It makes getting dumped anytime in the past year, even more painful. Stay strong people! I'm 5 months no contact and just got blocked on Fb. But not on other social media.. Mixed signals (she's avoidant!) right from the break up, 6 months ago.

Heartbreak really taught me a lot. Like not to be so superficial, and brought out a lot of deep insecurities which allowed me to address them and heal. Usually when you get dumped, by the time you did all the work on yourself you really start to see how that particular person wasn't meant for you and you don't wanna force something that's so complicated and doesn't come natural.

I was the one they mentioned about being addicted to video games. Its been a problem since i was 6 years old. My parents never paid attention to me and i am extremely avoidant. It was the perfect distraction for my problems. But i haven't played them in about 11 weeks I've learned alot about myself from losing the distraction.
Good on you! Its so hard, just trying to survive childhood sometimes. I myself have my own coping mechanisms I'm trying to phase out of. Keep going x life is beautiful
@@lizxu322 its definitely hard to get rid of the coping mechanisms we have relied on for so long. Even if we know its bad for us. I miss my ex girlfriend of 5 years, i am bitter she left and gave up but at the same time she is probably the only one that could have opened my eyes. Life is weird that way i guess.
@@Brandonganss1 I hope you find peace eventually. If I may suggest searching up Florence Scovel shinn up on UA-cam and listen to her game of life, its about 2 hours but it really helped me move on. Basically, by forgiving them and letting them go, and having faith that God will bring them back OR their equivalent, that's when you become free, and become open to all that life can offer you now that you are no longer bitter. @@chriswest7639 its different for other people the best thing I can say try and stay as busy as possible listen to coachs videos workout read lots of books focus on ur career/schooling friends and I bet they will come around that of course if you still want them in time it's not a easy thing I'm not gonna lie but you will get through keep your head up high
Being unintentionally manipulative was a reason my ex left me. I am working on it and realizing open communication just works so much better. I think manipulation was a coping mechanism I used to survive as a kid because my mother was dismissive and neglectful. It was the only way I could get my needs met or be heard. I'm an adult. I don't need to do that anymore.

Exactly! i know it might seem hard specially right now with covid, but doing new things or exploring yourself again is a good way to become the best version of yourself. They may notice and come back, but either way you should just do things YOU enjoy and even if they don't, you'll be fine!

ive ran close to 6 weeks no contact on my side of things. Shes reached out a total of 6 times now. 4 in the space of a week taking more interest in what im doing and telling me what shes doing. Has seemed too hot and cold for me to take a plunge on suggesting a meet up yet. She broke up with me in a very unreasonable way taking no blame for what essentially boils down to communication issues. Ive set a boundary that i want to see something a little more in any of her future efforts before i suggest a meet up and i also dont believe 5 weeks will have been enough for either of us to be in the right spot so im sitting tight and giving her more no contact until i see a little more substance from her.

What about in a situation where my ex texts me ones a day! I feel like she’s breadcruming me or using me to get over the break up. So just let it all go away and see what stays💪🏻

I'm going through a break up now. Me and my girlfriend broke up because she felt we're incompatible. I'm polyamorous and she's monogamous. I tried asking her questions about her beliefs, feelings, etc. She admitted she was scared I was going to neglect and cheat on her like her ex husband. Being unintentionally manipulative was a reason my ex left me. I am working on it and realizing open communication just works so much better. I think manipulation was a coping mechanism I used to survive as a kid because my mother was dismissive and neglectful. It was the only way I could get my needs met or be heard. I'm an adult. I don't need to do that anymore.

Coach, after my breakup with my now ex. I tried everything. Tried to do no contact it only lasted a week. I still love him dearly and hoping for a future with him. ive ran close to 6 weeks no contact on my side of things. Shes reached out a total of 6 times now. 4 in the space of a week taking more interest in what im doing and telling me what shes doing. Has seemed too hot and cold for me to take a plunge on suggesting a meet up yet. She broke up with me in a very unreasonable way taking no blame for what essentially boils down to communication issues. Ive set a boundary that i want to see something a little more in any of her future efforts before i suggest a meet up and i also dont believe 5 weeks will have been enough for either of us to be in the right spot so im sitting tight and giving her more no contact until i see a little more substance from her.

I'm going through a break up now. Me and my girlfriend broke up because she felt we're incompatible. I'm polyamorous and she's monogamous.
