My fear is people will be able to tell, and as an older woman, what would men think as I am single and would be subconscious about when to tell them, if they can't already know!

I get that. I'm not single but I'm still very self conscious. My own mother embarrassed me so badly at the Christmas dinner table, as it was my first time to wear my topper. Now I've gone to this wig Jill's putting on. No, I haven't let me mom see it. She'll tell everyone she knows. Bless her heart :(

@@alliecat4176 Hi Allie!! 🥹❤️ I met my fiancé way back when I was wearing tape-in extensions, then moved to toppers, then moved to wigs and honestly I always thought the same!! I was always so worried about dating when I was single. But like I said, the guy I dated is soon to be my husband now and he has loved me through it all. He’s found it FUN and it all came down to my confidence while wearing them, and simply if I was having fun and loving life, he was having fun and loving life right along with me. Worries are normal and fear is natural to have, but I wish someone had told me not to be afraid. Everything was totally okay ❤

This method works far better than any other method I've tried. For some reason, I always have hair that slips out from clips or pins at the bottom of my hair line. Drives me nuts! Using the wig cap and the It Stays has solved the problem, and I feel so good when I wear my wigs. Thank you!

I followed your instructions to put on my wig using it stays for the first time today. I wore the wig for just a few hours, and rode in the car with my husband to Walmart. I didn't have the nerve to go in, but that's okay since we are only allowed to have one family member in at a time.
Your instructions gave me the confidence to wear the wig outside the house. It's not the right color for me, so I probably won't wear it to work at least not right away. I have devoured your wig videos and I appreciate them so much thank you. What I have found after wearing did wig this evening is that I need more bold eye makeup! I think I need to watch some of your makeup videos now. Thank you from Laura in Carthage Missouri

I find simply using a small spray bottle with water and spraying the area that needs to release the "it stays" glue, works very well for me. It is much easier than cupping water and bending over in the sink....(for me). I do have a small hand towel at hand for drips and blotting. Hope this is helpful! Thanks for all of your tips and videos.

THANK YOU for taking this process SLOWLY! Other videos I’ve watched motor through gluing on a lace wig so quickly they leave out the details, and I can’t keep up. I guess presenters are so used to doing it they forget what it’s like to be new at it. Your step by step demo really helped me and gave me confidence. And I learned new things!
(By the way I got some “It Stays” recently and found the ball applicator very difficult, so I transferred it to a small airtight plastic container and I use a tiny stiff art paintbrush to apply it. Works well!).

It's as though this video was made just for me. I've tried velvet and silicone wig grips but hate the extra layers. My wigs also ride up in the back, so I'll definitely be trying the wig tape and the It Stays. Great video - thanks!

    • @debistanley2791
      @debistanley2791 2 роки тому +1

Me too. I have a long human hair wig. Even though it's thinned still heavy. I cut and hand sewed a silicone grip at the sides of my monofilament top. Definitely more secure to keep the back from riding up. Works great for 4-6 hrs and then the monofilament top starts sliding back on my natural hair. The velvet grips did same. I think it's my fine thin hair, too slippery. I like this idea, she made it into a wide band. Must admit, it already looks more comfortable. I just need to keep the top from sliding. Our black beauties tie a headband around where they apply adhesive to help what they call melt the grip. But they wear all lace vs caps. Totally different install.

That’s very informative! Thank you so much. I tried a box of those Jon Renau nylon wig caps. By the time I had my wig on and wore it for 5 minutes that Jon Renau nylon cap was completely stretched out and would not snap back to shape. In other words, within 5 minutes, my wig was floating on top of the floating nylon cap. A real waste of money! They should at least hold their shape and hug your head! Maybe I should try the It Stays. But I’m actually very happy with the wig grip

In just deciding to wear wigs since I've lost some hair and it's thinned out a lot after various surgeries since 2010. My hairstylist had any extremely beautiful one on a few weeks ago and I didn't recognize her it first but heard her voice & what she had on reminded me of what my hair used to look like especially with the curls. Therefore, I'm very, very new to all of this and wanted to get some tips from her but she was with a client. I recently had surgery on one of hands and although i just got the stitches out, it's been tough trying to do my hair. I'm gonna check out more of your videos but definitely wanna thank you so much for sharing these tips etc. you are so beautiful 💜

Great tips Jill! I have the hardest time keeping a wig on, not because of fit, but because i dont really have that occipital bone ledge... my head is kind of flat in the back, so i have been using clips in my bio hair, however they tend to make me itch and be uncomfortable, luckly i can do a small low ponytail that works as that occipital bone lol ... I tried using a wig grip without the ponytail but the wig grip slides right off. So I am going to try your tip and use some It Stays , combined with the wig grip, and my pony tail and see how all of that works !! I think the ponytail and the It stays will help my Wig grip stay on better.

I am very new to wearing wigs. In fact, I have yet to wear one public. My own hair has thinned so much, that it feels like I only have three hairs on my head. My confidence level is very low with my own hair as well as trying to look normal in a wig. I’m all thumbs. I enjoyed watching this video! What a great help you are in teaching me how to put one on and remove it. My head is also flat on the back and I feel the discomfort of the wig riding up. I especially loved the products you shared. I measured my head the way you’re supposed too. For some reason the wigs don’t fit right. The stocking idea you shared, makes perfect sense with the roll on you used. And yes, the itchies are a bother under the wig. I’m trying to figure out the right style for me. I have naturally curly hair, which I realize cannot be recaptured. I’m looking more at the wavey wigs. I want this to be simple for myself and not so complicated. The wigs are so thick; I’ve purchased a pair of hair thinning scissors to reduce that fake looking fullness. I just want to look natural. I have trouble achieving that! Makes me sad a very unconfident!

I have the same issue with the back of my skull being sort of flat and sometimes, the wig rides up, but I haven’t come across that problem using the wig grip. Guess I’m sold. 👍

Thank you for this video. I did shave my neck and now I know to apply tape to wig and not neck first. I'm going to try the net next time. Looking forward to loving my wigs. I do like that editors pick you were wearing. Looking forward to seeing your next inspirational video.

I'm so upset! Got scammed today with a wig that is from China! I'm so stupid. ..
Your videos are just the Best! I have learned so much from you, thank you !
I should have known you can't get a quality wig for $38.00 .
Thank you for letting me vent !

Oh Rita I'm so sorry to hear that! I was just wondering if you found the wig scammers through Facebook/Instagram because many women bought from them and received wigs that were substandard. I watched a few victims unbox these wigs on UA-cam and calling these wigs "substandard" was me being generous. They were plastic Halloween wigs that I wouldn't even wear with a costume!
You are NOT stupid and you are not alone. Best advice I've received was.... If you're going to ever shop online, get a Paypal account and use it! Paypal refunded everyone who complained and didn't even bother asking for the wigs. Also, don't buy anything through Facebook, Instagram, etc. I have only found one company with good products called "Thrive Cosmetics". The rest are all scams that send you crapp I could've bought on Wish for $2-$8. I hope maybe you can still be get your $$ back.
Try Amazon. No joke, but the most realistic wig I own came from Amazon and cost $36! I love my Amazon wigs and they were lace fronts if you can believe it!

@@ritamahoney4131 I have purchased wigs from all over, at all different price points. It is so worth spending the extra $ for a decent wig! Even when I have gotten a wig from Amazon that wasn't much money yet looked good they never lasted long. The quality makes a big difference in how long it lasts. I find the best bets are perusing EBay and finding Brand Name wigs starting at low bids. I have gotten quite a few new in box with tags attached. Last month, a seller I purchased off before had a Zoey by Envy wig. She sent receipt (spent $1400 on sale). A stylist cut bangs in and its a perfect new monotop, lacefront wig for me!

Thank you so much for your video! I have been looking for an explanation for a few months now. I was told to just put my hair in a bun and slap the wig on. Well, it keeps on sliding down my forehead and I am constantly moving. Plus it is so hot and itchy. I need to find that sticky stuff, and give that a go, and the nylon thingy. You are so beautiful in your wig, and without it. Thank you!

I hate to bother you with a silly question, but would you mind sharing what foundation and or power you use for your makeup? Mine gets in the creases and makes it look like I have severe wrinkles and I do not know what to do to stop that. Your makeup looks so pretty. So so pretty. I'm not done watching the video but so far your amazing on the details of how to do this. Thank you so much for your time, and answer if you reply. If not, thank you any ways for reading this. Have a really amazing day! 🤗

Thanks so much Jill, I’ve been wondering about wig caps and wig tape, It Stays, and how to use them. Love your style, very clear and makes so much sense to me. 💕

Your tutorial is very helpful! I don't have any hair to grab a comb so I don't use them . They are more of an annoyance . I have been using the wig-grips , but I did noticed that they do move in the nape area. Eventually it has moved toward the front of my head. I bought It Stays a few years ago to use on my support hose. I had no idea I could use it on my wigs. I tried it on both my lace front and one without lace. I did have the problems with it sticking on the lace. But with the other wig it was great! It was wonderful not having to wear the wig grip! Thanks for the tips. I have joined your community!

Thank you! I've just started wearing full wigs. (As opposed to toppers). I've always used clips to secure my wigs. I decided to try the headband but It slips up and drives me! I'll try the It Stays.

Same! They drive me nuts....and the wig stocking did too, but using the It Stays has really helped w/ that and without discovering it I would not be wearing wigs today! That stuff is amazing.
